A new update for Immortals Fenyx Rising has landed on PS5 and PS4. Patch 2.0 brings support for the game's first DLC, A New God. It also promises to fix a number of pesky issues that haven't yet been addressed, and adds haptic feedback on PS5. Cool! It weighs in at around 2.2GB across Sony's systems.
A New God, the aforementioned expansion, doesn't yet have an official release date — but a leak from a couple of weeks back may have outed the schedule. According to that, A New God launches on the 21st January — and this latest update backs that up.

I've been playing quite a bit of Immortals over the last couple of weeks, and I'm enjoying it. It's nothing mind-blowing but the sense of exploration is quite good and unlocking new powers is cool. Looks very pretty on PS5 as well.
When this game is good and cheap I might play it
I just platinumed the game so not a lot for me to see here, but I am looking forward to the DLC.
This might be the biggest surprise of 2020 for me. I expected it to be fun, I didn't expect it to be platinum fun.
@legalstep It's already pretty cheap, it dropped in price only two (!) weeks after release.
I've been putting a lot of time into it and really enjoying it. Shame it looks like sales have been pretty poor.
Ah damn, I finished the game at the start of the week and did Plat. Well, I will wait for the DLC now!
So, can someone tell me how the haptics are implemented? Not expecting much from a retrofit but...
Finished it last night. Very enjoyable game.
I might pick up the DLCs when they're on sale.
Perfect timing, ordered the game yesterday and will be delivered tomorrow
Good timing as I'm currently playing through the game. I was interested and it was on sale for $30 about a week or so ago and I wanted another PS5 game and I have to say I'm not disappointed. I wish gyro aiming was added to the PS5 version like the Switch has. Developers always seem to never make use of gyro built in the Dualshock 4/ Dualsense controllers which is a shame because I love using motion aiming on my Switch.
A little too late for me, I got the platinum 2 days ago.
@legalstep it is already good, and was relatively cheap a week or two ago on the PS Store and everywhere. But it'll be again. Definitely worth it!
This is unfortunate timing for me. I just finished the platinum on PS5 earlier this week, and would have liked to try the haptic feedback.
@DTfeartheBEARD Hi there firend. I´m actualy thinking of getting the game myself, since it is a BOTW type game or something.
But I don´t know if I´m going to like that particular art style.
Do you think it´s worth it, now that is on sale?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers, stay safe and happy gaming to us all
@RaZieLDaNtE Hello friend. I would say it's definitely worth it on sale. And yes the game is heavily inspired by BOTW which isn't a bad thing.
I like the art style and I don't know what system you would be playing it on but the PS5 version looks great and runs at a smooth 60fps.
If you like BOTW then I would say go for it.
Thank you. Stay safe and happy gaming to everyone.
I have this still sealed.Received it for Christmas but promised myself I wouldn't start it till I'd finished Assassins Creed Valhalla..however the way it's going I'll be still playing this game this time next year!
Really looking forward to playing this and all its expansions.
@Wormold Play AC Valhalla. That will give you break from AC type games.
Looks good, I'll try it when I have ps5 and there's good discount on psn 😃
I never trophy hunt but this game is so darnrd plain old fun I might just do it (or whatever the xbox achievement equivalent is as that's where i bought it.). Really surprised by how addictive this game is. I'm kind of savoring it and playing wd legion in between to stretch it out. Objectively nothing is amazing about it, but I'm terms of just being a joy to play every day it's going to end up in my all time favorites list.
I really enjoy this game. Not amazing but really fun to occasionally explore and pick at. Definitely wish I had gotten the PS5 version instead of the Switch version but didn't think I'd be able to buy a PS5 anytime soon
Been spending more of my time quite heavily on this after I cleared some of the PS4 backlog.
Happy to report that this looks and runs superbly on the old-school Pro if you can't afford/don't want a PS5 just yet.
@Rob3008 I think the poor sales are a direct result of the laughable £60 - 70 price tag due to Sony's greed/PS5 dev costs. Still not sure why PS4 owners are having to subsidise PS5 games?
It dropped quite a lot in the recent sales and reached what would've been a decent starting price.
Clearing up for the plat now. Cant say I've noticed the haptics but, I'd recommend the game to anyone. I've really enjoyed my time with it.
@sanderson72 Most games are now retailing at that price though and the PS4 version was still £40-£50 so I'm not sure it was really the issue for poor sales.
Despite the patches i've yet to run into any problems. Its a fantastic game as well, shame sales aren't good.
@DTfeartheBEARD Thanks for the reply.
Since I loved playing BOTW so much on my Switch, it is my favourite Zelda game along side with Wind Waker, Twilight princess and The Phantom Hourglass.
And now that the game have haptic feedback on PS5, as well the 60 fps, I was really tempted.
I´m probably going to get it now, since a lot of people are enjoying the game so much.
Thank you again for the feedback.
Cheers, stay safe and have a good one
@thefourfoldroot as far as I can tell, it's mostly implemented in the bow. It used to be is somewhat intense vibration effect when you would shoot an arrow. They changed it so it's more subtle but it feels better. The only other things I noticed is a little bit more haptic feedback when you're climbing and double jumping. So it's nothing crazy, but good to have nonetheless.
Thanks for reminding me to wait for the Gold Edition to become cheaper! In no rush to play, as fun as this looks.
