Alongside a new trailer for next month's Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, it's been confirmed the new suit Peter Parker wears in the film will be made available in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
As part of a free update coming on 28th July 2026, three days before the flick is out, you'll be able to don the Fresh Start Suit in the PS5 open worlder. You can see it in the image below:

Also, you can catch the new trailer below ahead of the 31st July 2026 release date for the movie. The official synopsis for the fourth Tom Holland film instalment goes like this:
Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him — and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him — sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

Suit and movie looks awesome.
Considering this game has been out a while now, they didn't have to do this - and it's certainly not as though the game didn't have plenty of choice in the first place - so it's a nice touch, and appreciated.
Amazing game. I replay it every once in a while, and its in my top 5 for this generation,.
@Rich33 Will definitely sell quite a few copies when the movie comes out though.
It's nice, but I don't want to go back to SM2, it's just too disappointing.
It’s a shame the game wasn’t better. I really did want to like it. One of the big issues was the lack of suit powers, it really gave me a reason in the first game to use each suit, but they’re just cosmetics in SM2.
Started this game twice and dropped off both times. It seemed good but just didn’t hold my interest for some reason.
Film looks amazing and spectacular and could be the ultimate and most superior Spidey film yet. Suit looks incredible so i'm its being added.
@Rich33 They also done the same thing for the first game when new films came out. I just knew they would again for BND.
It’s nice. Really nice addition for the fans. Had a lot of fun with the game on base ps5. Might replay it one day on the pro with the enhanced visuals.
I'm looking forward to the movie, the trailer looks really good.
I played 1 I actually need 9 challenge tokens to get my last 2 suits and plat but inactislly have the screw ball challenges. And I found the DLC very boring I owned 2 from launch and watched my partner play and do some parts she couldn't do and like The last of Us Past 2 it looks so boring
@DennisReynolds
Your quite right - I had completely forgotten that they had done this before. Even then (and I know your not disagreeing with this), I do really like the thought involved - new film, so they include the suit for everyone - a lot of studios would try and charge for something similar.
@get2sammyb
I totally agree. I think it helps that the style of the films and games feel quite similar in this case.
The classic suit looks cool but i'm not gonna watch any trailer.
I've been a bit checked out of the MCU, but this looks great.
@PuppetMaster Probably sensible if you're planning on watching it anyway, like most trailers it showed too much. But I probably wasn't going to watch it before, and now I am, so it also did it's job.
Nice. I need to do my NG+ playthrough of SM2 to get that last trophy at some point, and may well do it in this getup.
@PuppetMaster Yeah, you probably shouldn't because it shows Spider-Pig doing whatever a Spider-Pig does. 😜

@themightyant Yeah i dislike how movie trailers these days showed a lot of scene that looks important. It's spoiled the fun and surprise.

Excellent real-life breakdown as to why some players should stick to the freelance photographer narrative fantasy job for Spider-Man and not becoming an actual journalist.
