Developer Polyphony Digital has been keeping Gran Turismo 7 updated at a regular pace for years now, and it's impressive to see the racing sim consistently grow over that time.
The latest free update, available in a matter of hours, takes the game to version 1.70, and the headline addition is a selection of five new cars.
The vehicles are:
- Ferrari 499P
- Porsche 963
- BMW M Hybrid V8
- Peugeot 9X8
- Porsche 911 Turbo S Safety Car
These cars all arrive now as the real-life 24 Hours of Le Mans gets underway.
In addition, the update introduces a new Menu and five new events in World Circuits, including the 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit.

Great stuff, always try to complete the Weekly Challenges
Remember when weirdos were crying about the internet connection this game needed?
They are all crying over Crazy Taxi now.
@dodgykebaab LOL

Writing the race name in English and French.....showing off or copy and paste? 😁
Top 3 game of all time
@dodgykebaab internet weirdos will cry about everything. They don’t matter.
One of Sony's successful live services. Goes on and on. Well done.
@Reeneman I agree. With a racing wheel and PSVR2 it's absolutely amazing and as close to driving a real car as you'd get without spending £5000 on a gaming pc and VR.
An excellent update yet again. This has been my go to psvr2 game ever since I got the headset.
I'm bettng these cars/category will be in race C next week. Going to be great driving them.
1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, please
This is PD testing these cars in GT7 so they all work fine in GT8
@Brockybrock it’s a huge beta test for GT8. GT8 will be released very very soon, reading this by online dudes since 3 years 🤣
OoooOooooh! Have to admit, as much as I do not like live service/games as a service (and it really does irk me that this is always online), Polyphony have certainly earned their pennies off of me!
Nearly cried two days ago playing GT7 when I was 0.34 of a second away from passing S10 in the licence tests
@BusyOlf you'll get it. If you can get that close you can beat it.
@LiamOliver this is one of the examples when people say they hate live service stuff , but this is a great example of a live service game.
@Reeneman including you guys crying over guys “crying” over a game that doesn’t need an internet connection needing a internet connection 😂 some of you are not hot on irony are you 😂
