GTA 6 is $80 at launch – but let’s be real, it’s really a $100 game.

While not essential to experience the story, Rockstar has loaded its latest release’s Ultimate Edition with all kinds of in-game paraphernalia you’ll want to own.

This includes five exclusive stores, which will all carry unique stock you can only obtain if you purchase the most expensive version of the game.

The good news is that even if you plump up for the standard release, you’ll be able to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition later.

With pre-orders now live in New Zealand, we can see that the PS Store has added the Ultimate Edition Upgrade as DLC for the main game.

This means if you purchase the core release for $80, you’ll be able to pay the difference for the Ultimate Edition content whenever you’re ready.

While there’s plenty of debate about whether Rockstar should have locked so much content behind the Ultimate Edition, it’s good to know everyone will be able to access these items at a later date if they choose.
