I must be the only person who can't see a difference when playing PS5 games on fidelity, performance or balanced.

I watched the reveal video showing comparisons, but couldn't see a difference. Is it just my age or am I missing something obvious?

@djlard but wasn't it worth every penny! I have already put in more hours than any other game this year.

@luigia @Soulspinner @Snostorm8 tha ms for the responses. Glad to hear you all love the Portal, it sounds like convenience is the main selling point for this, and I can understand why having a single handheld device would be better for a lot of people than a tablet and controller.

I will try and get my hands on a friends, to see if it's worth me picking up

I don't mean for this to sound negative but can anyone who has a Portal explain why they bought this?

I recently played game pass on my tablet and it worked great. I assume remote play on the tablet would be the same, so why buy a portal at twive the price of a tablet (I know they range in price but it's easy to pick up a decent tablet for £100).

I have never used remote play except on the old PSTV which I picked up on clearance for £20, many years ago.

@Blacksmith1985 for me personally it's a lack of content. I found the much hyped invasion mode to be a repetitive grind and beyond the story I haven't found anything to keep me coming back.

Should say I am not into online fighting at all. I'm not good enough at them to justify wasting my time

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with MK1 after the previous installment. I found invasions to be overly repetitive and dull.

I had hoped invasions would be more like the board mode in Smash Bros, but I lost interest. Shame really because the mechanics in game are excellent.

@Gringorilla appreciate the list, I will definitely check some of those out. After Arizona Sunshine, resident evil 4 and 8, switchback, after the fall and walking dead, my trigger fingers need a rest!

@nessisonett hey I loved the Wii U and it had some fantastic games. It was only said in jest, but seriously Nintendo promised they were going to continue to support it and didn't have plans to replace it, then along came switch. I also love switch but remember being so disappointed at the time.

My biggest issue with my PSVR 2 is amount of Zombie shooters. I might be missing something and I have only had it a short time but it seems to be 90% zombies.

I would love a new time crisis game, or remasters of the originals. I'll keep dreaming.

I pre-ordered before playing the demo, but I found it really boring. Trying to decide whether to cancel or not.

@DonJorginho completely agree. I don't know how to code a game but how difficult can it be to include a NG+ option day one. Then to make a song and dance when it's announced.

Did somebody say the Legend of Dragoon!?!?!? Yes please! Probably the best RPG nobody seems to have played

@SoulChimera agreed! I miss lighting games so freaking much. I want the psvr2 just so I can live out my John wick fantasies. Bring back time crisis and resident evil Dino crisis plus throw a few rounds of point blank in for good measure.

@godofwarj5 my issue with Ghost of Tsushima was the grind at the end. Its my biggest complaint with most open world games, and is to be expected given the size of them. I never felt that grind with Elden Ring.

For that price, anyone who hasn't played hellblade should definitely consider picking it up

@R1spam I noticed this too. Absolutely awful to sell a collector edition with out a physical copy of the disc

@The_Pixel_King be warned, after Elden Ring all other games just dissapoint. I am in a genuine gaming rut and its all because of Elden Ring.

Also, I couldn't beat Bloodborne, demon's souls etc. Elden Ring was a breeze in comparison to those.

@PenguinL I haven't played it but it's on the to do list. Not sure I could beat any game in 2 hours though.

@nessisonett Agreed. I know it's unlikely but a game like Returnal could easily have been completed within a two hour window. Same with elden ring which has been completed in under 9 minutes ( yes I understand there were a billion hours to get to that point).

Obviously there is the option to prepare a demo to avoid the above but that's time and resources to create , which some developers simply don't have.

I can't see how elden ring is not the number one title on every list. It's virtually flawless in my opinion and the only game to really hook me in years

I bought a 12 month subscription for ps now by mistake. I meant to click ps plus and obviously hadn't been paying attention.

Initially figured I would at least get some use out of it but I haven't played anything other than final fantasy 9.

What a disappointment this month is.

@Korgon This is exactly what I need in my life. Bad guy destroys playstation history and astro has to rescue playstation gems from years gone buy to restore games to their rightful place on the timeline.

I don't mean to sound negative but can anyone explain the appeal of photo mode? The only time I have ever accessed it in any game was to unlock the trophy. Am I missing out on an important part of the gaming community?

It is most certainly a buggy game. I have experienced multiple crashes in my ten hours of gameplay, which is why I stopped playing until this patch gets released.

However, at least they are working to fix the issues. I still can't complete my playthrough of fallout 4 because the whole game is now in neon colours and has become unplayable. I still can't finish rage 2 because I jumped into the endgame vehicle before I was supposed to and now it won't let me play the final mission. At least the developers have accepted the issues and are working tirelessly to create what I expect will become an incredible release.

@jmac1686 you have been extremely lucky to experience no issues. I have had several crashes on ps5 so far and a number of quests that simply will not complete.

Having said that, in spite of its issues it is a fantastic game and I look forward to the finished product so I can complete my play through.

I have a Samsung TV which doesn't support Dolby vision but is a great gaming TV. I would love to have hdr10+ support for my growing 4k uhd collection

@TheArt I really enjoyed what I played of fallout 4, unfortunately I spent around 20 hours only to run into a game breaking glitch. The whole screen went neon and I couldn't see a thing. Really dissapointed given that I played it three years after release.

As such I have to give doom eternal the title of best FPS. It's near perfect to me.

A shame because fallout was very good for the first 20hours.

After playing fallout 4 for around 20 hours only for it to glitch out and become unplayable, I can't say I am too dissapointed. Although I sure will miss doom.

Has the launch line up been impacted by Covid? That's got to be the smallest line up in playstation history right? Even Wii U had more titles than this. Plus the biggest game to me is Spiderman and it's also on PS4.

I thought Xbox line up was pretty poor but next gen is looking a little poor at the minute.

@GADG3Tx87 Netflix actually make a good net profit. They spend a significant amount on new content but operating profits were around 6.5billion annual in June 2020. Net profit is far lower but still close to 1billion.

Anyone able to confirm what launch titles actually are?

I think the digital edition will be far cheaper, at least 100. It seems to me like a good way to push people towards digital only, something Microsoft tries last gen. That way next gen wi be digital only and they can just say 'nobody really bought the physical media anymore'

I really enjoyed man of Medan and looking forward to this. Happy to wait given the circumstances

I only purchased the base game very recently during a ps store sale and immediately picked up the add on pack with the exception of Shao Kahn who is ridiculously overpriced. I was tempted to get this when it was announced because I had a great time with the main game, but at that price I will wait for the inevitable sale

The main issue for me is backwards compatibility with my PSN purchases. I can't trade them in and I don't want to keep the PS4 plugged in just to replay some of my favourites.

Looks fantastic but a tough choice between this and Pokémon Shield for me.

Happy that I don't have them this month but disappointed that I also don't want them. Having said that I haven't played a ps plus game for months. There have been a few that have interested me but there are soooo many great games in my backlog. Not sure if it's age or the large number of great releases these days.

I am not entirely sure this is all that exciting. What is the underlying difference between this and NVIDIA's game streaming service? I can go on and purchase any game through steam and then stream it through my NVIDIA Shield Tv box. Alternatively I can play on a computer or on an NVIDIA tablet. I don't think Google are offering anything too revolutionary. Also PSNOW is playable on multiple devices. Maybe I am just not quite understanding what is on offer here?

Not sure if it helps anyone else but I tried with a different browser worked first time after trying 20 times elsewhere. Chrome worked for me.

@fchinaski have you tried God of War? I was in a gaming rut of sorts and that game really snapped me out of it. Can't praise it enough.

@Athrum Absolutely agree. After all the good reviews I was excited to play this but so far disappointed. I miss the Pokémon like creatures of the original.

So grateful that I already own heavy rain. Might get to clear some backlog now.

Overall Destiny 2 has been a disappointment. They took what I loved about the first one and changed it but kept the things I hated.

I spent 200+ co-op hours on number 1 but doubt I have spent 50 on number 2.

I miss the competition of the first one, where you get kill counts after each level and the addictiveness has all but disappeared.

@JLPick I enjoyed assassin's creed the movie. I have watched it several times. I also enjoyed prince of Persia and would say they are both similarly entertaining.
