April 2019's PlayStation Plus games have been announced, but as always, we want to know... Are you happy with them? Next month's selection includes two PS4 games: The Surge and Conan Exiles. Both have rather lukewarm Metacritic scores, and the initial reaction to the lineup hasn't been all that positive, but again, we're here to find out the truth!
Does April's duo do it for you? Which game are you most looking forward to playing? Vote in our polls, and then give us an honest opinion in the comments section below.

The second question is missing the "Not looking forward to any of them" answer.
Happy that I don't have them this month but disappointed that I also don't want them. Having said that I haven't played a ps plus game for months. There have been a few that have interested me but there are soooo many great games in my backlog. Not sure if it's age or the large number of great releases these days.
Why not be happy 2 games I don't own is a huge plus.
The PS3 selection is pretty lackluster this month if I say so.
I also noticed there isn't an option for 'neither' because neither has any appeal - certainly not 'neither because I have already played them'
Judging by their sales record, I doubt many have already played these and so many with PS+ may not be 'happy' because the offerings were games they had no interest in buying in the first place.
I will probably add both to my games list that I could download and play if I ever feel so inclined - that would likely be after I have completely cleared my backlog and no new games arriving or have arrived to add to that backlog, after I have downloaded all the 'better' (as in the games I had more interest in if not critically or technically better) PS+ & GwG offerings, maybe even after replaying more enjoyable and slightly different (as in playing a different character or playing games with different choices) experiences, when I finally get through ALL of those, then maybe, just maybe, I may consider playing one of these...
Very happy. Thank you very much Pushsquare and Sony.
Neither one of them are appealing to me in the slightest but it's not the end of the world. Personally don't expect every month to wow me and that's not a big deal, it's $1 a week people, it ain't that serious.
In all honesty I cant remember the last PS+ game I've even played, last month I already owned The Witness and had no desire to play COD again and this month I wouldn't play either. Then again I struggle to keep up with the games I actually buy 😆
I say none and my Vita also says none.
@KingdomHeartsFan that's because one question has more choices than the other? Therefore the percentages won't match! 😂 actually working back on my basic maths skills I think your right that they should match still haha my bad. 😂
On topic I think it's a good month of games for people who haven't already played them. Could be much worst.
@JohnKarnes
🙌
@JohnKarnes And in Conan Exiles I intend to give my character a ‘huge plus’ too 🤣
Both are hard mature games in a realistic style. Both are likely to appeal to the same niche which doesn’t include me. I don’t think we had a single first party game on plus yet this year.
Happy for free games as a bonus. Pay to play online for like 3 quid a month so in not complaining
I feel like this article should have been posted a week from today. I have personally never played either of them. I have only seen videos of their gameplay. I have heard mixed reviews. So asking me if I am happy with them is... premature?
I mean, don't judge a book by its pushsquare review right?
@jonny_aces The percentage of people who have plus should be unchanged regardless of the amount of options.
Percent means out of 100 so for every 100 people you should find the same amount of people haven't got plus.
It could be that people who voted for not having plus were more likely to vote in both polls. Whereas it seems people who voted for other options are less likely to vote in both polls.
Alternatively they may have given their opinion on the games in the first poll then decided to vote for not having plus in the second poll.
Both hypotheses would account for the inconsistency.
can not say until I play to be mad about something I have never played makes 0 sense really.
Tomorrow's poll:
Which medical procedure are you most looking forward to undergoing?
They're alright. The selection is better for me than March's, so that's a bonus.
I'm excited to try Conan Exiles. I have the Surge already, and I liked it.
Pretty good month for me, I reckon. Good couple of months!
Its pretty crappy but last month had modern warfare remastered which is really good so I wont complain
Poor for me compared to last month and importantly, poor if until two months ago you've been getting 6 games. I'm not too fussed about that (don't have ps3 anymore, never had a vita) but hopefully next month's is better.
Neither are of interest to me.
I do get more than my money's worth over the whole of the annual subscription though, so Plus is still worth it for me at the moment. I'm subbed to 2021 anyway, thanks to Amazon's Black Friday offerings.
Can't expect every month to be a good lineup. I'm quite happy with ps plus in general so I don't care.
My backlog is so large I’m kind of pleased I’m not interested in these games.
I might give these games a go, but i really miss the smaller indie titles.
I'm happy not to be subscribed to PS+ anymore. I wasted money on it for 2 years despite rarely playing online and never wanting the free games.
When I really want to play a game, I buy it... I don't wait for it to be free. If it's not worth full price, it's usually not worth my time. And I value my time more than my money.
I'm very happy with the selection thank you very much.
Driveclub only got 71 on Metacritic, userscore 6.2, yet it's Pushsquares' #1 racing game, ... just sayin' [maybe a Meta-score is not the best measure of 'fun'?].
Get rid of everything offered now, include PS Now and online play instead of free games. That's the best thing Sony could do.
Not gonna play either game. Neither interest, me which is fine. Cant win them all.
To be honest though unless it changes in the next year I won't be re-subbing my PS Plus. For the most part i rarely play online and the free games are hardly ever of interest to me. If they are decent like the March game I'll probably already own them.
Doesn't bother me really. I don't own either game so I can't complain. And I'll also be too busy playing Borderlands 1, Generation Zero and Yoshi's Crafted World.
I gave The Surge a chance last year and it's a 7/10 for me. Far from being as fascinating as a From Software game, but it's still a decent sci-fi souls-like title.
Sure... never played The Surge.
I am playing Sekiro and The division 2 now... Still need to get to NinoKuni2 DLC from last week.
These games are "extra" and serve as a good free bridge game till the next big release. Or when there is nothing new coming.
I have such a back log that it doesn't make a lot of difference to me. They can't all be great months. Makes you appreciate the really good ones that bit more. I pay annually and usually when the renewal is discounted. PS Plus is still great value for me.
@RenanKJ agree
For the first time I'm a little disappointed for two consecutive months. I have hope for conan exiles but the negative feedback so far has lowered my expectations. Two good games and a psvr title in May will restore some balance to the ps+ universe.
The Surge gameplay looks good. Conan gameplay looks boring but I might still give it a try for just building elements.
@HeyDrumstickGuy zOr just dont vote if your answer is on there. 😁
@sketchturner Why did you wait for 2 years?
At this point in the gen I'm not expecting to be overly enamored with the PS Plus freebies but that's not a problem at all. Whether it's day one purchases, retail or digital store front sales, or past PS Plus free promotions, I have the vast majority of games I want. I just hope the great PS Store sales continue for those of us who are subscribed to the service, particularly where DLC is concerned (have the full games I want but still some add-ons out there I wouldn't mind getting at a lower price). I've saved tons of money thanks to some of the flash sales over the past 3 years, give or take.
No, but you can't expect every month to have something that you want. Especially now that theres only 2 games a month.
@KingdomHeartsFan well people are either lying or not answering both surveys
The problem with the plus games for me is they are huge. I don’t have very good Internet takes forever for them to download. I would like to see some smaller games thrown in with the bigger games.
I won't complain as they are free games. Recently the selection's been pretty good so I can live with a "meh" month. I'll probably try them. At least conan as I'm a fan of the movie (not the second one lol).
My feedback on this month's offerings in a nutshell.
Meh....
Idk haven’t tried either game. Surge scared me because I’m terrible at these souls type games. Conan I’m not a fan of online games but like action and RPGs so hoping it’s good. Will try both after Shadow of TR.
@Bonbonetti I do think companies that release games in an unfinished or broken state are incredibly stupid because those metacritic scores are up there forever then. Some games are awful when released (NMS) and then go on to really work hard on making it good but the metacritic score is all some people will ever look at.
Sony needs to split the service up or reduce the price, simple as that. There is no justification for increasing the cost of the membership and then removing half the 'benefits' (however good or bad you deemed those benefits).
They should do the correct thing and reduce the price back down to £39.99 or give out three games per month OR say online is free and if you want games as well it's X amount per month.
