Forever Entertainment has announced a native PS5 version of last year's The House of the Dead: Remake will launch on Friday this week. With "game graphics and performance adjusted to PlayStation 5", you will get to experience the classic light-gun game without the need for backwards compatibility. Check out the trailer above to see it in action.

Details on the enhanced port are very light at the time of writing, so it is not clear just yet whether there'll be a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade for current owners. If that offer is available, you may want to buy the PS4 edition now at 50 per cent off in the current PS Store sale. Until Thursday, it's discounted to £9.99/$12.49.

In our The House of the Dead: Remake PS4 review, we praised the newer version for bringing back a classic in faithful form, along with offering local multiplayer options. However, we had issues with the controls on a DualSense controller and couldn't look past the ugly menus and UI. We landed on a 5/10 rating.
