The Dark Pictures Anthology, which kicked off with the rather mediocre Man of Medan last year, has decided to delay its second instalment to ensure it can deliver the best possible experience. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will now arrive in late 2020 as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Pete Samuels, CEO at Supermassive Games, delivered the unfortunate news through a statement on Twitter. "Our priority has been to keep people safe, and that includes actors and stage crews on whose talents we depend so heavily, other workforces external to our business who all help to create the games we make, and all the talented people who work in our studio. We will continue to follow government and industry body advice and will only embark on any element of development when such advice tells us that it is safe to do so."

As a result, future entries in the franchise have also more than likely had their release dates pushed back as the developer wanted to release them on a surprisingly regular basis. Did you enjoy Man of Medan and were excited about Little Hope? Have some patience in the comments below.
