No one has mentioned the most important thing.
Will it affect the quality of their games.
Their studios can make some really good games but profit margins sometimes affect quality of product. That’s not good for us gamers.

This was so obvious since they showed Halo thing on unreal 5 engine.
It will be a full remake on unreal 5, because of that demo they showed.

I think where my point started from many posts ago.
It’s all cool and a bit of chat and fun.
You probably know I have a Pro, but being honest, Sony did say as much about 3 years ago. Only expected one big AAA from us per year going forward. And they have stuck to it.

I just use meta as some sort of collaborative score. It’s the only thing we have.

My point more was and for fun, Sony AAA in house games used to be above the rest and more plentiful.
Apart from the amazing Astrobot in the last three years, they are not as good as the PS4 or first two years of the PS5 days.

The Dualsense has great features.
But not as good ergonomically in hand for me as the Xbox controller.

At least it would only be buying one box.
Which won’t add up to all the other 3 and space etc required and controllers etc required.

I find it’s mainly Sony fans that don’t like the idea of any Sony AAA game going elsewhere.
And it’s exactly how SONY wants you to behave so you have to buy their box and controllers and eco system.

Step outside the fan boy zone, like i did 6 months ago and you see how these companies want you to fan boy them.

Any gamer in their right mind, would want one box that plays all games.
And let the software be the competition for each company.
Just imagine one box, one minute you playing Zelda the next god of war the next Forza horizon 6. All in one nice box.

I have been playing Ghost of Yotei.
Great game absolutely, but my mind has rinse repeat open world fatigue.
So off it for a while.
Moved over to a linear NG4 and then see what happens.

Will say one thing these pop advertising at the top on this website and Pure are dam annoying and getting in the way.

There are probably a good few games on each system that are amazing.
All the games should be one system.
It’s getting there with Xbox studio games being on PS5, but it’s not truly there. It’s plodding along a bit.
And Nintendo we have no chance.

Even though we get amazing games. console box wise, these companies are our enemies.

We are not getting the Sony with 92,94 and 95 scores are we nowadays.

About 6 months or so ago this would have annoyed me lots.

But now all games all devices I’m up for it.

But think on this and it’s your money.
Think about it you buy one device that plays all those amazing games from all those amazing developers and they are not tied to three different expensive boxes and getting even more expensive.

It really is us that has been mugged off for decades so businesses can make money from us the gamers having to buy locked in hardware for games.

I’ve been buying them all for decades, but it’s time to move on and wise up.

Things need to change it’s getting all the same old now, maybe it’s because I’ve been around for generations.
But the current this gen/next gen formula with very little in return is now getting out dated and being honest dam boring.

They need to focus on the hardware they have and make games great again.
Sorry ghost of Yotei you are not much different from a five year old game called ghost of Tsushima.
You get my point, don’t mean to pick on that game.

As for the businesses involved they just want to take our money, as much and as fast as possible.

Playing on GPU series x and takes me back and enjoying so far. On the first chapter and also doing side missions.
Makes a dam change from the open world fatigue I seem to get now.
Chapter 1, tight level with some branching paths mainly leading to side missions and extra supplies.
Very fast game, but if I can keep up at my age I’m sure most of you can 🤣

So far I would buy the game if it was not on GPU, but so glad it is.
And just makes a great gaming end to the year with also Outerworlds 2 and COD to release yet.

Where are the NG4 reviews, some sites the embargo was early today, but no reviews?

I play then stick it on the PS5 dualsense charging dock then play again.
It’s so simple.

Not that I have had to do this, but if I got stuck I would just plug the controller into my sofa so I can play why it chargers.

For me this is where Sony maybe sometimes have to consider in this day and age multiplatform releases.
Look at battlefield 6 sitting at around 7 million sold already.

I guess and it will be all about money and if Sony would lose to many console sales over day one multi platform releases.

If they lost zero console sales selling multiplatform but gained very good game sales then it’s a win money wise for sure.

I think the power of the PlayStation and owning the console is underestimated and Sony would not lose hardly any console sales in the big wide general public world.

Was a very interesting sales split on this one and didn’t expect those numbers split wise.
PS5 was 1.5, Xbox 1.2 and Steam at 3.5 million. Steam once again does more than both consoles combined.

It’s obviously this is where the Xbox will go with their next home console, if we can officially call it that.
You will have a front end Xbox UI for older games from series x and backwards and game pass ultimate for all Xbox studio games and some third parties on a PC UI, then of course the PC UI will allow the use of PC games from Sony.

Totally first person only for me.
You can even see this is in the design in the newer game play demos.

We saw this last year at that event, where they showed Halo running on Unreal 5.
You could just tell this was going to be the original being super remade.

Glad all will get to play this game across many platforms.
For me I will go series x as I have stacked GPU at the very old cheap price until March 2027.

When it arrives you can be guaranteed there will be cross gen games for at least 2 years with the odd PS6 only title, maybe.
It makes dam business sense, with the cost of games development why miss out on a 100 million PS5/PS5 Pro owners with a new game.

For sure FIFA and COD will be cross gen games for well over 2 years.

I don’t like it but it’s the way it is and the future, just like PS4 to PS5.

I think it will be 2027 for both Sony and Xbox.

Going November 2027, that is a full two years and a couple of months away.

I thought Drakes daughter could have taken over in a new trilogy.
I so miss that adventure cover based shooting that Drake did.
The uncharted games had such Sony AAA high standards and performance.

This is not good for gaming and even just playstation fans as reduction in home console competition is not good.

I have begun my journey
So far very impressed and amazing looking on Pro.

Ghost of Yotei and a little borderlands 4 on Pro.

I’m done with Xbox now even though I have GPU until March 2027 the series has been sold.
I will just buy any Xbox studio games I want on PS5 Pro, if they really are any top AAA must buys.
I don’t really want to support Microsoft with Xbox anymore so I will try to resist any game purchases of theirs.

Give me a chance I won’t be starting until tomorrow morning 🤣

Great TV lg g5 did you go 65”?
Was considering a new TV but to soon after my last year Sony A95L 65” purchase.
You are going to get an amazing image of the LG G5 especially with the Pro as well. Enjoy.

I laugh at all the big three plead poverty and go on about costs and start increasing prices or skimping.
Then every quarter tell us how well they are doing with this and that. Sometimes record profits for some of them.

It’s similar to their TV market.
I hate them for skimping in 2025 and the past for not having 4 HDMI 2:1 sockets in a £3000 top end QD-OLED and mini LED TVs in 2025.
Making PS5 VRR only work with HDMI 2:1 and not 2:0 and not having built in LFC, unlike a series x.

It’s all a dreadful skimping making money scam.

BUT I HAVE A SONY A95L 65 TV, it’s pure upscaling and motion processing is the best there is and i have tested many in different scenarios and TVs.
It is absolutely the best TV there is, I have a PS5 Pro because graphics wise it’s the best there is, just needs more Sony studio AAA Campaign games.

That’s it I hate their skimping but love their picture perfect products.

Forgot also have a Sony Dolby system and I find that the best I’ve had all round.

Absolutely more great AAA Sony campaign studios games.
But they only make much from them, probably good money but not enough.
They won’t share on day one with PC or Xbox or switch 2.
So they try other means, the biggest GAAS and silly things like this rewards programme.

Sony PS4 era customer focused and good value for money and lots of AAA Sony studios campaign games.
Maybe it was their big push to finish off the Xbox console, not that Microsoft needed help with that.

Sony PS5 era, great first two years, now its about the money money money and probably because they can get away with it and the Xbox console is down.
