PlayStation Gear Merch Store Closing Down, Sale Live Now

I could swear this shut down a few years ago, probably some Mandela effect going on. Like I think I remember a similar announcement in sites etc.

@CallMeDuraSouka maybe you are not so much nerd. Playstation has/had Gear store. Same with Blizzard gear store and Betshesda store. Those I know on the beat

Bruh I can't believe they have a Forspoken section on the site. Imagine buying a Forspoken Denim Jacket for $110, or a mediocre Forspoken Water Bottle for $30. They would have been lucky to sell even one of those each lol

Also, if they're gonna shut down the store, you would think they would give everything deep discounts, like 60-80% off, but I guess not.

PS gear will only be available for purchase through the new “rewards” program.

@CallMeDuraSouka as it is written on homepage, that Gear Playstation isn't Playstation own store. It is controlled by 3rd party company. Probably it wasn't as proffitable as that company wanted it to be. Maybe they have great quality etc, but in overall those prices are very high.

I might wait and see if they discount more items closer to it closing. I really like the look of the women's horizon call of the mountain cropped hoody

Scooped up that GOW Ragnarok sherpa fleece jacket. When the snow comes, I'll be all set to stand outside and pretend I'm Kratos lol

Looking at the prices (and all excluding VAT too 🤯) it's not that hard to see why it's being closed down 🫠

I'm a grown man that wants the Astro Bot DualSense Controller Case, but it's only available on the US and not the EU store.

The issue is that it’s always been very expensive anyway, so even sale prices on 90% of the items is too high.

Terrible store, sale prices never showed discount and sale prices, and by the time you’d added vat and over priced postage never worth it, shut down before then reopened in uk. And why is different merch available in US?

The store is way overpriced so I’m not surprised.
£20 down to £17 in the sale. PlayStation socks.

Sale is pretty meager by the looks of it; will check on regularly though to see if there are any discounts. Not crazy about any of the clothing though, shame they couldn't capitalise more on their great art and characters

To be fair, a lot of it - or similar - is available in Tesco or Sainsburys and at much cheaper prices too..
