A new update for Mass Effect Legendary Edition is available to download now on PlayStation 4 (and PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility). Patch 1.03 makes some mostly minor adjustments, but it all adds up.
Most notably, the update should fix an issue that was stopping players from popping specific, long-term Trophies — like the ones that track overall kill counts. What's more, some slightly distracting jank has been taken care of. The patch notes mention fixes for incorrect eye animations, which should stop Shepard and the gang from looking like they're possessed during certain cutscenes.
And finally, if you ever thought those mass relay jumps were way too loud, then you'll be happy to hear that this update lowers the volume.

Is it really Mass Effect without those weird ass eyes?
@The_New_Butler @nessisonett I had an absolutely brilliant moment where just one of Shepard's eyes slowly moved to the side during a conversation in Mass Effect 2. Then when it was his turn to talk, it instantly clicked back into place.
It was like Cerberus hadn't quite put him back together properly.
Unrelated but I have to say this.
I still have my PS3 hooked up to the same TV as my PS5, and I still own the PS3 version of ME2. I put them both on side by side and I couldn't believe the transformation. I never really appreciated it until then.
Just marvellous and everything I hoped for.
So STILL no fix for the dolby digital speech coming out of the rear speakers on me1. Theres a 13 page thread about it on EAs own site but nope no fix

messing about with stuff like fog when the there quite happy for the audio to still be broken
@ShogunRok
"And finally, if you ever thought those mass relay jumps were way too loud, then you'll be happy to hear that this update lowers the volume."
THANK YOU. I literally removed my headset when making a jump because the sound would shatter my eardrums
I need an update to lower the gun volume or to boost the dialogue volume even more. Its either they talk extremely quiet and the guns are a normal volume or they talk normal and I scare my neighbors with gun noises.
I never had sound problems with mass effect 1 on either ps3 or xbox 360 but somehow they broke the audio in legendary
@Waffles12415 True, the gun noises in ME1 are ridiculously loud!
I thought I seemed to have a lot of money in ME2 from carrying over my character. I've purchased every item from every vendor and barely dented my money.
@Flurpsel like when you’re watching a DVD/bluray etc and turn the tv off and then later turn on your PlayStation/Xbox with the volume still in the mid 30’s 😂😂😂
SONIC BOOOOOM!
the best trilogy ever, shame about the ending 😭.
I think I might have to take back everything negative I ever said about ME3. Well, almost everything.
Before playing this collection, I always thought ME2 > ME1 > ME3. But now, I would probably say ME1 > ME3 > ME2. Although they’re all great really.
ME3 makes so much more sense after playing the DLC for ME2. I always thought the start of ME3 was a little jarring but it flows so much better if you play the DLC first.
same for me ME1 then ME3 then ME2. The DLC for ME3 is great and really fills out the the game and citadel DLC is great
@ShogunRok If Shepherd was talking to Jacob, it's sort of understandable lol
@AdamNovice I feel like in almost any other game Jacob would be a great character, but in Mass Effect he's trying to compete with Garrus and Mordin and Thane and... Well, it isn't easy.
@ElMarko yeah happened to me today with my bluetooth speaker connected to my laptop at full power... At least with the mass relay you can prepare yourself for it
@Flurpsel makes you say Jesus Christ and actually mean it unlike when you type lol and are usually straight faced haha. Try doing that on a Samsung Harmon/kardon 7.1.4 surround soundbar set up that cost me $1800 or the equivalent of $1400 USD (I duno where you are in the world lol). At night I game on 12 out of 100 and it’s loud. You should see what happens when I switch to playing a games and it’s on 20-25/100 and the game has a loud banging intro 😂😂😂
@ShogunRok It also looks like it may have fixed the paragon/renegade glitch. I used it in ME1, i'm halfway through ME2 and have just loaded up my game and all my Renegade points have halved!!
I’ve found my new profile picture
"Other minor calibrations"
Good work Garrus
@Throb Disgusting, they'll pay dearly for this injustice.
@ShogunRok That's what I don't really like about Mass Effect 2. It feels like the characters are all competing to see who can be the coolest or the most badass.
I just finished all the ME3 DLC with the exception of Citadel and am rolling in credits haven't even started the any of the main missions. I picked up a few N7 weapons but the game only lets me lvl them up to rank 5. I thought max weapon rank was 10. Maybe I'm wrong or is this glitched?
@ShogunRok Having just gone through the trilogy again, I kinda feel most of the weakest characters are the human ones, minus Miranda and Jack. Probably because with characters like Tali, Liara, Garrus, Wrex and Thane your not only getting to know them personally but your also learning about their species which makes them far more interesting.
@OMG_Waffles It requires new game plus to get that I'm afraid.
@OMG_Waffles you can only get you guns to level 5 in the first playthrough you have to new game+ your me3 character to get them to level 10.
I started my play-through two days before this patch. Thank god I got my million credits lol 😂
@Abarth_71
@trev666
@AdamNovice
Ahhh that sucks! I wanted to get my Black Widow to lvl 10 and turn Garrus into a snipper god on my first playthrough lol. Thanks for the update tho!
Is it me or it loads even faster now?
ME1 > ME2 > ME Andromeda > ME3. Mass Effect 3 is still my biggest gaming letdown to date.
I think Mass effect 3 is an excellent game apart from the ending and after while i got over the disappointment of the ending
For me its definitely Andromeda what and massive let down my heart sank after a few hours realising what it was and what it wasnt such a let down.
@ElMarko your neighbours must be very happy
