@ViolentEntity The price tag is an absolute joke considering many SNES games sold for $80 almost 30 years ago.

The point is Bethesda will never receive my business again. The one thing about TES and Fallout is that it they are published on every possible platform. By going exclusive, Bethesda is telling me their product sucks and are no longer relevant, especially for the sum of money they accepted. Furthermore, Microsoft has proven multiple times that almost everything they touch turns to mold. Ahem, Rare.... I doubt TES 6 will be a quality product.

Microsoft lost all my gaming business when they purchased Bethesda. This game was originally supposed to be a PS exclusive, but after the debacle of F76 and given how any studio Microsoft purchases botches other franchises... I'm actually laughing...

I'm still waiting for the Super Duper Mega Turbo Side Quest Simulator Tournament Edition of Death Stranding. My apologies for a poor attempt at humor, but aside from gorgeous graphics and good online functionality, DS is a dud of a game.

@Ken_Kaniff I completely agree Sony has had their nose stuck up for quite a while, but E3 is an absolute joke now and the rates ESA charges companies to be there are insultingly astronomical.

@Residentsteven I've actually been playing PS3 games that I missed like the Castlevania Lords of Shadow series, Ratchet & Clank series, and Enslaved on PS Now since a PS5 seems impossible to find.

I remember when the NBA had an advertising campaign with the PGA. Phil Mickelson (at least I believe it was Phil) smashing a golf ball from the parquet floor of the Boston Garden... "These Guys Are Good...

I started subscribing to UK OPM several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed reading it every month. I remember subscribing to OPM when it was the unofficial PSM here in the states. It was such an awesome magazine. Really sad to see UK OPM disappear, but at least they are continuing with Play magazine.

Absolutely loved the first volume of Life Is Strange, but part 2 featured too many stereotypical characters and hardly any experimentation with powers. (Hey, I still enjoyed LIS 2, but it just wasn't in the same level of quality as the original.) I hope Square Enix takes more chances with this edition and explore tough topics.

Enter the Gungeon, Rez Infinite, Subnautica are all on my list. This is such a great collection of games. I've already purchased and beaten every other game except Thumper, which is an awesome game in itself.

Sorry, but I'm not spending money on any tables I already purchased unless there is a small charge.

I was afraid something like this would happen once Microsoft purchased Bethesda. Good to see MK11 back in the lineup.

Definitely will not play TES or Doom if it is NOT only the PlayStation. It seems every major franchise Microsoft touches turns to mold.

Enjoyed the original Aragami except it lacked enemy variety. Hopefully, when the game actually releases (I don't seem to recall a release date either), it will be fun to play like the original rendition.

Not even Trevor could have saved this borefest.

You're not going to confuse Metro for a Naughty Dog game,
but is a series that is consistently good, fun gameplay, fun weapons and good storytelling. I've always enjoyed how the series encourage multiple play styles and playthroughs, and having tons of gray area among the factions.

The story was super generic and boring, but the gameplay was pretty fun. Definitely more than worth the $20 I paid for it on Black Friday.

Now this sounds like my kind of game.

$70 is less than what some SNES games cost back in the day... Sometimes upwards of $80... That was 25 years ago.

E3 shot itself in the foot multiple times with exorbitant fees.

I enjoyed the first Life Is Strange except for the final episode. I loved how Dontnod had a nice mix of exploring difficult issues and outright goofiness. I enjoyed LIS2, but felt the antagonists were stereotypical and one-dimensional. I hope getting in the bed with China doesn't screw up Dontnod or the LIS series.

Great choice of games, but have already purchased and beaten both games. Concrete Genie was a nice change of pace for my gaming tastes.

TLOU 2 is nowhere in the same class of game as the Witcher 3 is. The Witcher 3 has superior gameplay, story, character development, exploration, etc. than TLOU2. The only thing TLOU 2 excels at is production values and accessibility features. Otherwise, it has at best an average story and repetitive and mediocre gameplay. It could 10 billion awards, it is still NOT even the best game of 2020.

This is one of the repercussions for purchasing Bethesda.

@Icey664 I agree. The map was way too large and focused too much on collectibles.

@HMazzy111 I feel Valhalla is a gorgeous game, loved the combat and laughed at the world events. It was mainly the story, the leveling up of weapons, poor implementation of stealth, and boring side events. Seemed like the only interesting side activities was shooting dice and flyting. I feel even if side missions weren't great in previous AC installments, it was an excuse to explore areas of the game. I didn't get that with Valhalla.

I'm a completionist, but honestly I was bored after 15 hours. When it comes to large open world games, it takes a lot for me to get bored this quickly.

Never ran across an avenge mission in my 200+ hours of Valhalla. Definitely the most boring, redundant and barren open world for an AC game.

During my 200+ hour playthrough of Valhalla, it wasn't the glitches that bothered me, it was barren open world and sheer boringness of the game that did.

Living proof the Push Square squad is losing credibility. Sorry, I played 700+ hours of the original FFVII and the Remake is represents problems plaguing this generation of games: an exceeding number of cut scenes, too much needless bantering among characters especially when they stop every five seconds to yap, masked loading, and over reliance of fluff to extend play time. I actually loved the story and feel this is a really good game, but I was ready to end the game about 15 hours in.

@Oriion You are correct in your assertion Ghost of Tsushima is better than TLOU 2. The story just didn't have the punch as the original and gameplay was stale. I played the original TLOU and the entire Uncharted library and everything just seems recycled. Ghost of Tsushima was like this Ubi Soft open world style game done the right away and it was just fun to play.

I'm the first to admit Ratalaika Games main sales pitch is easy platinums. They produce tons of shovelware games, but there are hidden games like Metagal (Mega Man clone) and Tamiku.

@Col_McCafferty I completely agree with you TLOU 2 is not woke.

In no particular order: Demon Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, Doom Eternal, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Yakuza: Like A Dragon. The Last of Us Part 2 is perhaps the most accessible game and featured some of the best presentation in PlayStation history, but the story was lackluster compared to the original, the game play is stale and redundant, and the final battle with Ellie and Abbie is the same recycled finished from every Uncharted game. Assassin's Creed Valhalla returns with features I hate about the older games: clunky controls especially with climbing and chasing down tattoos. Worse, the open world is boring, but the world events have been entertaining. I haven't played Persona 5 Royal and would probably include it in my top 5. EDIT: I found FF7 Remake filled the with unnecessary fluff, but enjoyed the story and game play. This game is definitely overrated, which is coming from someone who spent 700+ hours on the original.

TLOS 2 is by far one of the most accessible and cinematic games ever, but is nowhere near the game of the year. The gameplay is repetitive and stale, the ending was the same as every Uncharted game, most characters were one-dimensional and uninteresting, featured too much fluff and long stretches of doing nothing, and wasn't at the same level of storytelling as the original. Part 2 is nowhere near as good as the original. In fact, Doom Eternal and Ghost of Tsushima are far superior games.

I did enjoy playing as Abby and watching her developing a relationship with Lev, but it just doesn't compare to the strong tale told between Joel and Ellie in the original.

I'd probably rate the game an 10+ on presentation, graphics, accessibility, but a 3 on gameplay and 7 on story. This is definitely NOT the ultimate game nor best PlayStation game for 2020.

Two platinums for the same game are better than 1.

No one complained when Nintendo was charging $70 - $80 for SNES games. I remember paying $84 for games such as Street Fighter 2 and NBA Live.

The question is, "How dumb can you get?" Leaving out the PlayStation base is going to cost Bethesda billions of dollars in revenue. Sorry Microsoft, if you make Bethesda games exclusive to X-Box, I will toss my future X-Box series X into the Potomac River and boycott all future Bethesda title until exclusivity ends. Yes, when I boycott, I boycott.. I boycotted EA when they refused to develop for the Dreamcast and have only purchased one game from them ever since... and that was Fallen Order and Mirror's Edge.

Actually, I was joking about throwing it into the Potomac. I will throw it off my roof and then roll over it with an 18 wheeler.

@Noob_Saibot Do you think a gas station would remain in business in if it charged 50 cents a gallon or allowed you to pump as much gas for $10? The development cost for Fallout, Doom, TES and other franchises are in the hundreds of millions? Common sense dictates there isn't enough people to sustain a $10 play all you can model.

Funny how complain about paying $70 or $80 for a game yet people had no trouble dropping this amount 25 to 30 years ago for SNES games.

If MS tries to get too greedy, do you not think Sony might try to by say... Take 2 Interactive. Can you imagine the panic and MS fanboys soiling and defecating themselves when GTA is not on X-Box? For every action, there is equal and opposite reaction.

There was a time when SNES games cost upwards of $70 and $80. If a game is that good I don't mind shelling $60 or $70, but I generally purchase most games since they seem to go on sale a few months after release.
