And they've still not fixed Pig of Prophecy bug that loads of players, including me, have. Will have to wait even longer for that Platinum then.
Sigh.
Don't buy buggy games.
That's the best fix.
£38 at John Lewis online, PS5 disc version.
Mines coming tomorrow fortunately in time for this patching.
@tfo what system are you playing on?
How about the login in drunk bug? Super annoying
PS5. The Ubi forums have a lot of people complaining about this one
Upon inserting the PS4 disc into my PS5 console to find out I couldn’t get the upgrade promised was the time I sold my copy and gave up.
Has probably been fixed since then, but first impressions last
Added force trigger feedback to bow shooting for Xbox/PlayStation controllers.
For Xbox? And they added it to PS5 already, but it needs some improvement for sure.
PS5 version is $40 right now on Amazon. Should I pull the trigger or wait for $30?
@Deadhunter wait for PS+ 🤣
@Deadhunter Joking aside, it’s not a bad game. If you’re just playing for the story you’ll probably enjoy it. But if you’re a completist or going for the platinum, it’s a real slog and super-repetitive after a while. Having spent 67 hours with the game so far and being roughly half way, I’d say wait until it’s $30.
I can’t even bother playing this trash on my PC where got a free copy nice to know they’re still fixing it though
@tfo dude I completed it. Had no issues. All mysteries in Cent were cleared with no issues. I am playing on PS5.
Over 100 hours in,still really enjoying it and with only a few very minor glitches.Great game!
@Wazeddie22 I agree. However my most bothersome glitch is the restrictive quiver.
@QueenOfHearts38 That one's been fixed for me ever since the Yule Festival ended. Assumed it would be the same for everyone?
@ShogunRok i haven’t played it since the end so maybe it has, now I have to check
@tfo I'm stuck with another World Event that isn't on the list but Ubi forums mention it only like 7 times so it's probably lower priority :/
@fR_eeBritney Yeah, I decided to wait and picked up Observer on sale instead.
@hypnotoad true, but if there is nothing else worth playing I dont mind buggy games. I've played since day1 on ps5 and have yet to experience any of these bugs since then. Maybe i just got lucky
Just 3 things:
Will I still be drunk after each loading?
Will the key be there so I can rob the guy with the roman statue?
Will I still have repeated gear?
Bonus one:
Will I have the supposedly secret mission activated after killing all drengr?
I'm having awful screen tearing on the PS5 version lately, hopefully there's a fix in there for it too.
@Dr_ENT yeah - the issue hasn’t spawned for everyone
🤨for me the update is 6.219-GB (ps4Pro)
@tfo its all about luck mate. I haven’t encountered any bugs except for the stupid quiver thing (reduced capacity)
@Dr_ENT indeed. And yet I didn’t get that problem.
And I know some people have had a bug whereby half way through the game they no longer get any fabric drops from chests making kit upgrade impossible
@tfo the way I've heard it - you stop getting fabric loot when you fully upgrade your stuff - so if you do it before you do the offering in Eurviscire (5 fabric), you're screwed out of completing that region (no 100% completion trophy for you)
@Voltan same
Not touching this game until they fix the demon odor world event. Irritating that I cannot complete the game fully to this. Especially since the issue with this event has been known since like week 2 of release.
It's at least encouraging that they mentioned they are looking at it, but I literally haven't touched the game or progressed any further since coming across this.
This is great, I had some issues where npc wouldn’t show up to complete quests. Sometimes can’t get stuff until you do main missions so for the most part great game
@tfo I didn't want to read the list for the "pig of prophecy" quest because I didn't want my hopes up so I have seen your comment so I knew it wouldn't have been fixed. Maybe in a next update we shall have.
And there's one with a chin like a brick. Hopefully not have to hear this again with this update.
During my 200+ hour playthrough of Valhalla, it wasn't the glitches that bothered me, it was barren open world and sheer boringness of the game that did.
@NoFaceBigFoot
You played a game you found boring for 200+ hours?!
@thefourfoldroot I have to admit for being a fool for wanting to platinum Valhalla.
@hypnotoad unfortunately that would mean never buying any game ever again nowadays! All games have bugs, even if you can't notice them. I've played 55hrs of Valhalla and haven't had a single issue.
@NoFaceBigFoot weirdly enough, this is the first AC game I've played that I haven't found monotonous and boring (Origins and Odyssey being the worst offenders). The open world is beautiful, especially Glowecestershire and its always interesting to explore.
@LowTech I had this bug. Icon for the key as there on the stool but no key. I did something random after googling it like riding on my horse and kicking the door in. I think the other method is to fully complete the Lunden Arc too.
@Omnicron I ended up opening the door before the update with 2 explosive arrows. lol. don't know if it's fixed or not..
The repeated gear bug is being used to get lots of money and some people like it. I personnaly am not exploiting it because I don't want to lose the updates on my gear set and because I don't like to exploit like that.
But my biggest concern is the secret mission activated after killing all drengr. I have not killed all yet, but I would like that it would activate, because I know that after I get the platinum trophy, I won't ever touch the game again or at least for a very long time, and if it's not resolved, probably i won't play it.
@LowTech I'm not aware of the exploit. Missed a trick haha
I'm going for Plat too, like the last 2 Creeds. I'm 70 hours deep and only have a couple of England Arcs left and collectables to chase.
I come across some total show stopping bugs with Mysteries but I hope I have managed to get around them in various silly ways after googling about. Like throwing dead bodies at objects to get them to do what they should lol
With platinum in the back of my mind the Mysteries have been very stressful. Always half expected them to bug out, and sometimes that being so. Hopefully I'm on course though otherwise I'll putting my head through the screen.
@Omnicron ps. Tonight my goal is to go for that hardest trophy and get that boxed off so I can relax for the remainder. (The 3 hard kills in one fight while on fire and no broken shields one). After that it's plain sailing hopefully. I've seen people with Plat breaking bugs regards fishing through, so hopefully that plays ball.
@Omnicron how did it go? I haven't got those trophies yet too. But I also stress a bit with the thought of investing so much time and get a bug that will stop my progress. I would probably uninstall it and never play an assassins game. (didn't get origins and now, after having 100% of odissey and almost from Valhalla, I think it's too late to go back , no?)
@LowTech Took about 3 hours or so to get that one trophy as it just wasn't working properly. Nailed the 3 kills perfectly, with shields up and 100% while on fire. It wouldn't pop so I kept reloading the previous save, probably about 40 times. Last attempt before I jumped out the window I nailed the 3 perfects but then just carried on and killed 3 more and it finally popped. So it's a pretty glitchy trophy. Recommend doing it down south prior to Skill power 300. Use the stand on burning roof returning their spears method.
Finished all the Arcs now too so just got a few hours of collectable mopping up to do now and that's it put to bed.
Incredible world building and detail, they've pretty much mastered that. Not as smooth for movement as the previous two games though. And it seriously does not respect a persons time.
I'm all for huge games but it's become extremely tedious after 85 hours, with another 15 even more repetitive ones on the horizon. "This door is barred from the other side" "This chest needs a key"
@HMazzy111 I feel Valhalla is a gorgeous game, loved the combat and laughed at the world events. It was mainly the story, the leveling up of weapons, poor implementation of stealth, and boring side events. Seemed like the only interesting side activities was shooting dice and flyting. I feel even if side missions weren't great in previous AC installments, it was an excuse to explore areas of the game. I didn't get that with Valhalla.
I'm a completionist, but honestly I was bored after 15 hours. When it comes to large open world games, it takes a lot for me to get bored this quickly.
@Jaz007 XBox One controllers had trigger feedback since forever. It's not as advanced as the PS5 feature, but it IS a 7 year old feature, after all.
Very few games use it.
