I really like this game, but I really wish the interface was snappier. I also don't know how I feel about the $16 price tag considering how little content was actually added ( and how unclear the whole add on is).
I'm pretty close to my plat though. Basically just have those stupid/annoying mini game trophies left.
I feel like I'm the only one with a quiet launch edition PS4 Pro... I've only heard it a few times when on the map of HZD ( where the framerate gets unlocked for some reason). I hear some people referring it to a jet, but the last time I've heard a console sound like a jet was my brothers early model Xbox 360. I heard that thing through headphones.
@naruball trophies are just part of a game. Im saying that calling video game trophies pointless is a slippery slope. Video games are for enjoyment and many people find enjoyment in trophies. same with multiplayer, crafting, leveling up, grinding, leaderboards, etc.
Just because I don't like leaderboards doesn't mean I think they are pointless and have no value.
I didn't really care too much for them. I bought into the hype and played through the original Walking Dead one, but didn't find it nearly as compelling as most reviews indicated. I assumed it was because I don't care for the walking dead.
The Game of Thrones one was a bit better, but I still felt like I was playing it just to finish it.
The stories aren't deep enough to keep me to care and the gameplay/decisions aren't nearly good enough to keep me entertained.
This was one of the first few games I played on PS3. It felt super next gen at that time. It needed a bit more polish imo (controls felt a little wonky), but it was extremely fun.
Vocals and mix ruin it for me. Vocals are way too loud in the mix and that draws out all the shortcomings of his singing. A more balanced mix would have gone a long way imo.
This was a really interesting game back on PS3. I didn't finish it, but I helped my friend get his plat on it. If the price is right, I'll pick this up while I wait for more Monster Hunter stuff.
The Push Square scoring system is fair enough that I find a lot of use in it. For games I don't really care much about, I can quickly check if it's even worth reading (5+). Otherwise, I wouldn't even both to click/read. There have been a few games that scored much higher than I expected, so I read the review, got the game, and loved it.
I think the 'problem' with many other site scores is they are essentially 1-7 = bad. 8-9 good. 10 = 'paid' review.
@IKILLUM1NATI I'd agree that those are all good games, but Skyrim VR is certainly an amazing VR game and well deserving of the #1 spot in my opinion. The only fault I can find with Skyrim VR is the sound design.
I'm sure the next iteration of PSVR will have much better tracking and peripherals. The PS4 wasn't really ready VR. It's amazing what they've been able to do with it considering the limitations. I'd still take a PSVR over any other VR ecosystem.
Skyrim VR (to me) still feels like one of the only games that fully embraced the platform. RE7 is another great example.
There are plenty of other fantastic games, but for me, there's almost always a "..but" involved. The Persistence is great... but the controls are terrible for VR. GT Sport is amazing fun... but a ton of content is locked out of the VR modes. Job Simulator is funny.. but it's charm only lasts a couple hours.
10 years sounds like a long time, but I'm not so sure we'll have the infrastructure to do seamless game streaming in 10 years (at least not in the USA).
Average speeds have only gone from about 5mpbs to 19mbps, and that's just at the consumer level. There are issues at the data center layer as well. Even with my fiber-to-home gigabit connection, I'm not getting good streaming experiences with PS Now. It's still full of latency and lag making many games unplayable.
I still expect to own a console in 10 years, I still expect to own a home computer/laptop in 10 years, and I also expect the internet to be a much worse place in 10 years if the current FCC trends continue.
Anyone can say whatever they want, but MGS3 is easily the best. MGS1 was groundbreaking and amazing for it's time, but I still think MGS3 is easily the strongest in the series. It's one of the best games ever made.
Ugh, I'm traveling for business for another week and a half. Depending on the deco slots, this set might have a lot of best in slots. I'll have to grind out some armor spheres too though...
Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Considering how fast credits get earned (and how enjoyable they are to earn), I wouldn't ever spend real money on them, but understand that some people are very limited on time.
It's a great example of a policy that does no harm, but only good.
I wish they either 1. Fixed the slow down or 2. allowed us to turn on/off the slow down. No reason my megamans should be tanking framerates on a PS4 Pro.

Re: PS Plus Subscribers in Chicago Will Soon Have to Pay More
Wow 9%? That's kinda nuts. I grew up around Chicago and love that city but dang....
Re: This PS4 Synthwave Dynamic Theme Bundle Is Pretty Darn Cool
Neat! I've been using the REZ one for the last year or two because the music/visuals are so good. This will probably replace it

Re: Poll: One Week Later, Is Red Dead Redemption 2 the Best Game of 2018?
Monster Hunter World.
Re: Hitman 2 Has a Whopping 118 Trophies to Unlock

Re: Hitman 2 Has A Whopping 118 Trophies to Unlock
@kyleforrester87 at least with digital, I can bench press ALL my games forever. Infinity gainz
Re: Hitman 2 Has A Whopping 118 Trophies to Unlock
@Tsurii If SOMETHING adds enjoyment to a groups of players, surely it has value to those players.
Trophies are entertainment as well. Dig deep enough and you can invalidate the entire video game/movie industry with that mindset.
GAMES OR MOVIES DON'T MAKE MY MUSCLES BIGGER OR MY BELLY MORE FULL SO THEY ARE POINTLESS AND HAVE NO VALUE
Re: Christie Weaves Her Way into Dead or Alive 6
Character showcase - half the video was her getting beat up!
She was my fav in 5+. I always felt cheap using her though cause she seemed OP (note: not actually sure if OP, never played competitively)
Re: Poll: Have You Bought Red Dead Redemption 2?
I'm waiting to see if they 'fix' the controls. You can have the best car in the world, but if your tires suck, your car isn't that great.
Re: North American PS Plus Members Can Nab inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood for Free
This is the only inFAMOUS I didn't 100%. I'll probably boot up the ol' PS4 and give it a go again.
Re: Soapbox: Publishers Want You to Pay to Play Early, And It's a Worry
I would absolutely NEVER pay extra for the sole reason of playing early. Not even for a new EDF or Monster Hunter game.
If anything, I"m far less likely to buy a special version of game if it offers an early release. This is a stupid practice.
Look at it this way, you're either paying extra to beta test or the dev is purposely being anti-consumer and holding their game longer than needed.

It wasn't MAG fun though
Re: PlayStation Plus October 2018 Games Announced
Ouch.
Truth be told though, I'm still not even 10% through last months games. They should have saved GOW3 for this month or something.
Re: Poll: Now That It Offers Game Downloads, Are You Tempted to Subscribe to PS Now?
Until they improve PS3 streaming performance (since we can't download), I just can't pay/recommend it.
I found far too many games unplayable due to the unreasonable latency (server side latency, not client)
Re: Devil May Cry 5's Dante Battle Music Has Not Gone Down Well

Song still sucks tho
Re: Guide: Where to Buy and Pre-Order the PlayStation Classic Mini Console
I get it's a bit more for collectors, but only 20 games and no digital controls for $100? It seems a little steep.
Stings a tad seeing this released before PS1 classic support on PS4 too.
Re: Resonance of Fate Remaster Is Real, Launches in October on PS4
This was a really interesting game back on PS3. I didn't finish it, but I helped my friend get his plat on it. If the price is right, I'll pick this up while I wait for more Monster Hunter stuff.
Re: Sony Is Bringing a Huge Number of PS4 Games to Tokyo Game Show 2018
EDF! EDF! EDF! Hoping for the EDF5 NA release date announcement too (even if it's TGS)
Re: Rumour: Gun-Based JRPG Resonance of Fate Is Getting a PS4 Remaster
I never finished it, but I did really enjoy the setting/music of this one. I'd certainly give it another go
Re: God Eater 3 Dines on Deities from 13th December in Japan
I'm looking forward to it. I bet I'm too spoiled from actual MH, but should still be good. I always liked the story/setting behind these games.
Re: GameCube Classic Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Is Being Remastered on PS4
I don't remember anything about this game, but I remember playing coop with my friend and our GBA. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Hopefully they do the same with Vita (there's not a chance they will).
Re: Monster Hunter: World Gets Spooky with Autumn Festival This Month
@Derpie1 Yeah, I wouldn't expect Narga until they release the Tigrex since they'll share a frame. IT WOULD STILL BE COOL THOUGH
Re: Monster Hunter: World Gets Spooky with Autumn Festival This Month
Arch Tempered Nergi please! Or it would be extra spooky if they released Nargacuga then

Yeah.. but this https://i.redd.it/ank3yfshr9k11.gif or this.... https://i.redd.it/djumnb0cz9k11.gif
You can't ignore those downgrades man.
Re: Review: Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker (PS4)
What about the soundtrack though? Naruto had some great tunes, but the previous game didn't use any of the awesome music bums me out.
Re: Destiny 2 PS4 Patch 1.24 Out Now Ahead of Forsaken Launch
Destiny 1 was my most disappointing game of all time (by miles). So far though, I'm enjoying 2 quite a bit.
Perhaps it's because I got 2 for free, while I paid $60 for the demo in 1.
Re: PlayStation Plus September 2018 Games Announced
Just a quick honest question: is base Destiny 2 as useless as base Destiny 1 was after the first expansion?
Re: Feature: The Promising PS4 Games of September 2018
Hopefully EDF5.

Re: Xbox Gamers Are More Hardcore Than PlayStation, Says Microsoft

All in all, until Microsoft cares about the games, I don't care about their Xbox division.

Re: No Publishers Are Interested in FuturLab's Sequel to Velocity 2X
I feel like both Velocity games were way overrated by a vocal minority. Overall, they were just decent games but nothing special..
Passive aggressive crap on Twitter isn't the solution to their problem.
