Re: Ghost of Yotei's Very Reasonable Dev Budget on Par with Predecessor

Nalim

@PuppetMaster So its still a lot cheaper. They dont have to pay Disney ( $115M ) , marketing is probably lower than Spidey and $90M-$100M is still a lot higher than $60M.

On top of that the price of the game has been raised bc its $10 more compared to Tsushima, while development cost are the same. Sony 's reasoning for charging $10 more is higher development costs. The game being an improvement gameplay / graphics wise isnt relevant bc its the same costs, same for the free Legends mode which Tsushima also got for free.

Im also nowhere saying it isnt a fair price and i will get Yotei Day 1, just saying that the reason Sony gave for charging $10 extra doesnt apply to this game, yet Sony still charges $10 extra. Its a bit like saying they had to raise the price of PS Plus to also improve the quality, while the quality is the same ( and thats me being generous since we had a few months with less games ) and you can argue Premium is even less. Doesnt mean i still think its good value, but the reasons they give are often BS.

Re: 'Quit Game and Restart': PS5 Pro Has the Worst Version of Borderlands 4

Nalim

Developers are way too lazy nowadays and ppl should really stop buying these games with performance issues on launch. But it also gets harder and harder to take review sites seriously if they award games with performance issues high scores. Several games this year got high scores regardless of performance issues, which just shouldnt happen.

Re: Amazon's God of War TV Adaptation to Start Filming in Six Months

@Vladspartan Kratos in the Greek saga is bigger than him, in the Norse saga they made Kratos less tall. Hes in between the 2 versions of Kratos, so not too big. Might not be a good actor, but not a lot of action hero actors are known for their acting skills. He wont be casted as Kratos, but i think he could look a lot like Kratos

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for September 2025 Announced

Nalim

Weak month for me personally. Stardew you can get for €2 on pc and is 10 years old, so if i would be interested in that i wouldve bought it long ago. Viewfinder not my kind of game. But last couple months i got plenty of worth from my sub.

Re: Early Lost Soul Aside PS5 Reviews Axed as 'Comprehensive' Day One Patch Is Announced

Nalim

@Rich33 While i agree its usually wishful thinking, we also dont know how the game runs without the Day 1 patch. The only early impression of the finished product ive seen so far was from someone on Reddit ( a screenshot of what he wrote can be found in the article i linked below ). And while this person says the opening performs bad and looks blurry, he also states the game runs way better a bit further in and also looks pretty good. He evens questions if the opening didnt just bug and admits the game is pretty amazing after the opening. We ll have to wait and see, but if only the opening runs bad then that gives a little hope the Day 1 patch can actually fix it. But like i said in my other comment, i'll just wait and if it doesnt perform well i'll just keep my money. Easy enough.

Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta's Dismal PS5 Pro Support Could Use a Rethink

Nalim

@get2sammyb Yes, but Liam did notice the frame drops since he mentions them, but says they are a rarity. They arent rare though, but happen pretty much all the time in the jungle and even worse in underwater areas. And shimmering and artefacting i assume he would notice too. Reading the review gives the impression it barely had issues, at least these issues should be mentioned in the review imo. The review only mentions frame drops in chaotic areas.

Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta's Dismal PS5 Pro Support Could Use a Rethink

Nalim

How can you write this in the review when the game obviously had issues:

Coupled with its mesmerising visuals is a smooth frame rate on PS5 Pro. The remake targets 60fps, and it maintains that the vast majority of the time. There is the odd occasion where chaotic and action-packed scenes will drop frames, but these are a rarity.

Re: Lost Soul Aside's PS5 Platinum Won't Be a Walk in the Park

Nalim

@Balaam_ A real trophy hunter would be happy with a list like this, because you have to put some effort into it and not everyone will get the platinum for this. Easy trophy lists anyone can complete arent impressive at all and it doesnt make it a better game. Writing off a game bc the trophy list is too hard for you is insane.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Is Europe's Best-Selling New Game of 2025

Nalim

@darylb24 According to the article E33 isnt in the list because Kepler Interactive doesnt share data with GSD, so who knows if it wouldve made the list or not.

Still, i heard Forza Horizon was selling a lot from MS, and since Oblivion and CoD are in the list ( im aware those sell a lot more copies than Horizon probably, but referring to MS apparently sharing the data ) i expected Horizon to be in the top 20 aswell.

Re: Astro Bot Has Added Its Most Wanted Cameo in Huge PS5 Update

Nalim

The title of the article already spoils who's added for most people. I immediately knew it was Cloud without reading the article at all. The others are a nice surprise, but wouldve guessed they would be from SE titles.

Anyway, good to see the game still gets support with some extra free levels. Hopefully they are also working on a sequel because theres never enough Astro Bot.

Re: There's Unfinished Business in Robocop: Rogue City's Standalone Expansion on PS5

Nalim

@DonkeyFantasy A separate list for a standalone DLC i can understand, but a separate list for 1 NG+ trophy i wouldnt exactly call "just tidy everything up". Thats the opposite imo and would make a mess out of the trophy list. Imagine wanted to look which trophies ur missing and you had to scroll through your trophy list to find every separate mini-list for the same game. So i'll have to disagree.

Re: There's Unfinished Business in Robocop: Rogue City's Standalone Expansion on PS5

Nalim

@Balaam_ Theres plenty of people who enjoy getting some trophies that arent trophy hunters. People who just enjoy playing games and get some trophies as a bonus or even go for the platinum when they really like the game. And then theres people with an unhealthy obsession, who think all trophy lists should cater to them or just skip games because of the trophy list. Thats not caring bout trophies, but being extremely obsessed.

Re: PlayStation Thinks Its PS Plus Games Are 'Improving' Every Year

Nalim

I think the quality of PS Plus Premium is declining year over year. Especially when there are so many great PS1, PS2 and PS3 games they could add. Only reason i got Premium atm is because the price was the same as 1 year of Extra, because of the higher discount for Premium with the recent Days of Play.
