Re: Sony Job Listing Implies More PS5 Exclusives Will Be Ported to Xbox, Switch

KawakiisaFraud

@Toot1st

"Xbox are making record money Sony can see that"

Unlike MS, Sony doesn't have Call of Duty or The Elder Scrolls either...

Perhaps some people should realize that neither God of War (Sony's strongest IP) nor Horizon (and certainly not Horizon) aren't Call of Duty.

If Sony had Take 2 with GTA, RDR, and all the licensed sports IPs, it would be understandable that they would go multiplatform. But what Sony is planning here is simply insane, and will massively damage both the PlayStation and Sony as a whole.

But okay, everything that needs to be said has been said. Just don't cry when studios like Naughty Dog or Guerilla Games have to close down because the PlayStation brand has been completely ruined.

@LogicStrikesAgain

That's exactly what most people don't understand. Sony (the entire corporation) makes most of its money from the 30% revenue it receives from the PS Store.

Anyone in their right mind would think Sony would do everything they could to get more people to invest in the PS ecosystem so they could get an even bigger 30% revenue. But they're doing the exact opposite.

Totokoi will go down in history as the one who killed Sony's biggest source of revenue. Anyone who truly believes this won't have consequences is simply naive.

I could really imagine that this will be the end of Sony as we know it now.

Re: Reaction: Helldivers 2 on Xbox Signals Another Unexpected But Not Overly Surprising Shift in Strategy from Sony

KawakiisaFraud

@BacklogBrad

Which will definitely happen! Sony isn't Microsoft or Nintendo. Sony doesn't have trillions of dollars to easily buy Take Two. And God of War, their most successful, is nowhere near as successful as Mario or Pokemon.

Sony's strength was that people knew that God of War, Spider-Man, or Uncharted were only available on PlayStation.

And they should have built on that. What did they do instead? They opened Pandora's box for quick profits, and their exclusive games are now available on other platforms.

Just wait until the average customer understands that they don't need PS+ or the PS Store to play the latest PS games. They can still play the latest God of War on the Steam console or Switch 2 in the future.

Many people here still don't seem to understand what impact this will have in the future. But you'll see that as soon as the PS6 comes out, and most people stick with the PS5 or switch to PC or Switch 2.

And at the very latest, when Sony starts taking less and less than 30% of the PS store, they'll react and probably overturn everything... but by then it will probably be too late.

Sony is well on its way to following MS's lead. Anyone who truly believes that all this ***** won't hurt the PS6 also believes that the Xbox is a hugely successful console.

With one difference: this will hurt Sony far more than Microsoft. Because Sony needs the PlayStation to survive. Or at least to continue making billions.

I know enough people who are asking themselves: why should I even buy "Ghost of Yotei or the new God of War on the PS5 when it's coming out on Steam a year later anyway?"

That's exactly how it starts: the customer no longer trusts the platform... which in turn leads to fewer purchases, which in turn leads to even less trust.

GTA 6 will somehow be able to compensate for all of this, but after that? The PS6 could really be a second PS3 disaster for Sony.

Re: PlayStation Is Bringing Helldivers 2 to Xbox, Out on 26th August

KawakiisaFraud

LMAO Sorry Sony, but you haven't understood anything at all. Every time I think you've figured it out, such unbelievable ***** comes along.

No one should be surprised if the PS6 has the same problems as the Series X/S

LISA won't be able to help there either. A console stands or falls on exclusive titles, and the PS5 has nothing (so far) except for Astro Bot. and with the PS6 it only gets worse.

Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss Says Sony Has Never Really Seen Nintendo As a Rival

KawakiisaFraud

And that will change in the future. Anyone who truly believes that Nintendo and Valve aren't a threat to the PlayStation is simply delusional. But I think internally at Sony they understand it, they just don't say it publicly.

I expect things to get ugly between these three parties in the future. Because, unlike MS, these companies' existence depends on their gaming divisions. That's why they will do everything to harm the competition.

This will only benefit us as customers.

Re: Stellar Blade 2 Dev Will Try Its Best to Hit 2027 Release, But Don't Expect It

KawakiisaFraud

"Elsewhere in the interview, it's confirmed that a piece of DLC for the original game has been turned into a piece of Stellar Blade 2. The scope for the expansion "grew larger than expected", so Shift Up adapted it for a "full sequel. However, a lot has changed since then."

Yeah, so now it's basically confirmed for me that SB 2 will be with Raven. Maybe also dual protagonists with EVE and Raven.

I'm surprised that they're not even sure if it will be released in 2027, even though they recently said the sequel would be out next year. With a day 1 PC release, it probably won't be until 2028 anyway, which also fits with the rumored PS6 Launch.

Just make SB 2 a PS6 launch title and that's it. The PS6 will be the console where Sony's entire PC strategy backfires anyway.

Sony will need as many exclusive titles as necessary to justify buying a PS6 and SB 2 would be a good start.

Re: 'Competition Pushes Us to Innovate': Sony Weighs in on Xbox's Potential Exit from Console Business

KawakiisaFraud

No matter what any Doom posters say, SONY WILL NOT GIVE UP THEIR 30%! This is the reason why Sony makes so much money.

In the future, they'll find ways to increase these margins even further. And I fully expect them to want to hurt Nintendo, and especially Valve.

Totokoi has already said they're not averse to making large acquisitions, and that's exactly what I see happening in the near future. But more in the Asian region than in the West. Especially China/Korea.

As I said, anyone who thinks Sony will give up their 30% is simply delusional.

Re: Black Myth: Wukong's Secret PS5 Exclusivity Saga Rages Again

KawakiisaFraud

Xbox fanboys would rather invent more nonsensical conspiracy theories than accept the truth that the Series S is a pile of crap.

But hey, this is also the same community that believes Microsoft is playing 4D chess and wants to push Sony out of the console business by bringing its exclusive games to the PS5 on day one.

Re: Stellar Blade PC Dev Discussing Region Lock Issue with Sony

KawakiisaFraud

LOL, I can already see it coming. Shift Up will definitely continue on its own in the future, and SB 2 will never come because Sony owns the publishing rights to the IP.

So it will probably be a Demon Souls/Dark Souls where we get a new IP similar to SB, but multiplatform.

If Sony had never opened this Pandora's box called the PC from the beginning, they wouldn't have these problems. Because then there wouldn't be any PC releases of their games. But they had to listen to idiots like Shawn Layden, who still believe the PC isn't competition and that they are separate markets.

All of their problems this generation are due to the PC and strengthening Valve as a competitor. Nintendo doesn't have this problem because they know that once the gates are open, they stay open.

I'm curious to see what happens in the future. But I assure you, they won't give up their 30% share.

Re: Sony to Focus on PS5 Engagement, First-Party Showing Greater Financial Discipline

KawakiisaFraud

"In related news, Tao said that Sony’s also been better controlling its first-party spending, and it’s something it wants to continue to improve on moving forwards."

This means that games like Intergalatic will definitely be a thing of the past, which is a great thing. This game probably cost $500 million, which simply won't be profitable.

At the end of the day, Sony is a company that wants to make money, and it will find ways and means that we either like or dislike.

Re: PS5 vs Switch 2: Full Tech Specs Comparison

KawakiisaFraud

Now that the final specs are known, I fully expect a second Series S for developers.

Fortunately, Chinese and Korean developers seem to be completely ignoring the Switch 2.

and anyone who thinks that GTA VI or Witcher 4 will appear on it will have a rude awakening.

Re: Unsurprisingly, Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Future May Not Be PS5 Exclusive

KawakiisaFraud

Yet SE will continue to release Nintendo exclusive games. There's already a remaster of Bravely Default to launch, so BD 3 isn't far off. And I'm betting there will definitely be an exclusive DQ and FF for the Switch 2.

SE will only come back to Sony if they have to pay for a AAA game, which SE simply doesn't have the money for.

Hopefully Sony SE will finally give the middle finger here.

Re: Poll: PS5 Fans, Are You Sold on the Nintendo Switch 2?

KawakiisaFraud

@ATaco

Yes, I noticed that too. So many comments claimed that the Switch 2 would outsell the PS5, even though it wasn't even clear how much it would cost or what it could do. But everyone was still sure that Nintendo would save gaming and Sony would go multiplatform. Yeah, the reality is often different...

btw I'll probably buy a PS5 Pro. The Switch 2 is too expensive and the hardware doesn't justify the price at all.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch 2 Direct - 5 Things for PS5 Fans to Pay Attention To

KawakiisaFraud

@Ralizah

Yes, theoretically, anything should be possible on the Switch 2. The question is what the games will ultimately look like. Rebirth already runs like dog ***** on the PS5.

I think many Nintendo fanboys will get a reality check that the Switch 2 isn't a portable PS5 after all, and the difference is still massive. 30 fps will be the absolute standard on this console.
