You're all aware that corporations- and especially the psychopaths who run them- don't care about any of us unless we're giving them even more money, right? It's not a case of Microsoft good, Sony bad or whatever, it's a case of people want your money for products. Nothing more.

If we get the occasional God of War or Bloodborne then good stuff, but you can bet that these grubby little horrors absolutely hate the fact that they can't graft some kind of FUT abomination onto them.

The whole industry has become a zero sum game. It was never in your favour.

I've never seen Euphoria but everyone between 18 and 25 with an acting career seems to be in it. Is it like some kind of national service thing?

Anyway, I'm sure she's great. Can't wait for the series and I'm very hyped.

@kyleforrester87 well said mate. The damage it does to viewers who are still forming attitudes to sex is one thing, and that's before we even get to the human trafficking, drugs, etc. The amount of harm it does is shocking.

I was really into this trailer and then saw Quantic Dream. I actually felt the hype leave my body.

This main character is about to join the ranks of the real legends: Bubsy, Awesome Possum, Johnny Gat, whatever the thing in the hat from Balan Wonderworld was.

Great bit of casting! I'm more and more hyped for this the more I hear about it.

They can keep going if they like. I don't think many people are exactly waiting with baited breath. (Nobody cares about Johnny Gat)

I only play them for the campaign anyway so I usually pick them up long after release. MP doesn't interest me, particularly ones like CoD.

It could have been an amazing handheld, even rivalling the switch. It's just such a shame that Sony didn't support it with games that took advantage of the hardware.

It may be a bitter pill to swallow but most people who play games aren't "core" gamers and couldn't care less about Indies. Much as I loved playing Hotline Miami and Velocity 2x etc on mine, I always felt that there should have been more games akin to Uncharted Golden Abyss on there.

If your goal was to make the best game possible then it wouldn't have shoehorned a live service and corporate tie ins onto what was essentially not a bad single player campaign suffering from bloat due to said live service nonsense.

Maybe the whole thing is a bait and switch. Just maybe after a few months it becomes an FPS where you find people using words like "steeze" and shoot them in the teeth before riding off on something.

Kill it with fire. Erase any mention of it from the annals of history. Give everyone involved new identities. Bury every piece of equipment used to create this.... Thing. Salt the earth above it.

This is the worst trailer I have ever seen for a game.

@Broosh having played Avengers the worst thing about it is that there's the skeleton of an excellent single player game in there. It's just buried under so many bafflingly poor decisions.

This is what happens when you don't shoehorn in live services, loot boxes, forced pandering and multiplayer. A good game that will sell well.

Look, I'm gonna say it. Mark Whalberg can't act. He's the same gormless titamaboob in every film, just sometimes with a comedy accent (the Departed). He went to the Vatican to apologise for being in boogie Nights, the one film he was good in, and that was due to him playing an idiot.

Let's also remember that he refused to apologise for a hate crime in which he blinded a Vietnamese man. He's a hack, he's a scumbag, and I have no idea why he still gets cast.

Tom Holland? Love him. Great actor, probably my favourite Spiderman, and seems like a really good person. Totally miscast as Drake, but that's not on him.

God no. This is somehow even more bland than I imagined it would be, and I can see it dying on it's arse. Everything just looks wrong. Everything.

@trev666 Came here to say pretty much the same. I've had a few crashes and smaller bugs, and there's a fair bit of jank, but on PS4 pro it's no worse than fallout 4. I'm actually on my second playthrough of cyberpunk right now. It's a shame as the potential was through the roof, but I'm still enjoying it.

Seems like the kind of game that wouldn't even get a review if not for releasing early this gen.

This is exactly why I'm happy with my backlog at the moment. I just don't see the point in getting a ps5 right now.

It's one of the very few single player games that doesn't have a "designed by committee" feel to it, so I'm definitely getting this. I'm as leftie as anyone but even I'd say gaming has become way too political now. It's just nice to have a bunch of people having fun in space.

Why waste such a great license on a game that hardly anyone would like playing?

@Smash41 you're right. I've been feeling this for a while now, but it just seems that everything is either online multiplayer, yearly iterations, or stuff I'm just plain not interested in. It's got to the point where I haven't bought a PS5 yet as there's just nothing I can be bothered playing on it.

Nah seriously though, the best move for the Saints Row series would be to stop. They were the gaming equivalent of people who wear t shirts with "sassy" phrases on them, or people who use the word "banter" without sneering.

This is like when franchises were a little more willing to make some big changes. Think Zelda II and Simon's Quest. Both were a little misunderstood but at least tried. I'm definitely going to be giving this a go, as I absolutely loved the first game.

@Jackpaza0508 closest thing we have to an actual radioactive wasteland, makes sense that a lot of games and such would be set there. Plus the recent TV series would have boosted interest again.

I'm quietly looking forward to Just Clance 2023 being announced. I mean, they obviously have no respect for the man's name so may as well.

I won't be renewing this month then. Decent games of course but I've already played the ones I want. Avengers was decent enough for the campaign but glad I didn't pay full whack.

@themcnoisy I'm sure it's a boss game mate, I actually gave it a go but couldn't get my head around it. I just remember everyone going mental when that and farming simulator were given out in the same month.

I'm a bit annoyed they didn't make plague tale a cross gen offering. I'd have played that. As is, I'm not interested in multiplayer cod and I'm not a wrestling fan, so nothing for me.

I really wanted to like the first game, and I tried to get into it a good few times, but that art style is just horrible. It honestly looks like sentient vomit to me.

The fact is, this game seems like it wants me to apologize to it before playing, and I don't like that. Therfore, yeah. I want it to fail. There are much more engaging and more exciting titles on the way. I don't need this game at all.

@Flaming_Kaiser I get where you're coming from with that. I really do. Thing is, Gone Home came from nowhere and had something to say. I played it myself on the PC and yeah, it's great. It was also trying to break new ground for LGBTQ+ representation and by god that is absolutely to be applauded. I'm not a fan of CoD or FIFA or any other nonsense. Some of my absolute favourite experiences on PlayStation have been the likes of Journey, Nier Automata, The Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne, Soulsborne, Hotline Miami, TLOU2, Axiom Verge, Undertale (which is my favourite game of last gen btw) and a ton of others which aren't exactly AAA.
The thing with this game is that it seems designed to be criticism proof. If you don't like it, you either don't "get it" or you're some kind of thoughtless sheep conditioned to only play yearly franchises. I get that's where you've come from. I really do, but this seems to be so transparently put together by people who want to tick boxes and appear progressive and worthy that it just rings incredibly hollow. If I want an engaging open world I can find so many elsewhere which don't seem to want me to kotow to the Devs. If I want a meditative and quiet piece of gameplay I can find it elsewhere in a more engaging title. If I want something next gen I can lose myself i

Crimson Desert, Nier, Left4Dead and maybe one or two others were looking good. The rest of it was just utter dreck.

Did anyone else notice that all of the nominees for most anticipated game were single player story driven games? Every single one.

So it's sad that all we're getting is indies, pc ports, godawful multiplayer and live service battle royale garbage.

@andreoni79 exactly. I'm absolutely not proud of that, and it's sort of a dissonance in that I know they put their heart and soul into this. It's just so smug and worthy looking that there's a part of me that likes to see these games fail.

Why?!?!?!? The first few hours of resident evil vii showed that an incredible evil dead style game is possible in first person or VR. They had exactly the right approach given to them and chose to give us this... Muck instead. There's already so many of these cheap and nasty games out there already, why insult one of the greatest horror franchises of all time in this way?
