@LN78 mallrats has aged very well! I watched it the other week.

There was an old comic called Johnny The Homicidal Maniac which I quite liked. I had that as a name on a few forums and ended up shortening it to what I have now. It also sounds a bit like Genocide, so it works ok as a username.

I'm not planning on changing it to be honest. My real name isn't even John, it's infinitely more embarrassing than that.

@Tulio517 same. I don't know anyone who's even mentioned it except on here. Tbh I find bikers and zombies cringe worthy so it's not a game I'm interested in, but I guess if you still like SoA and the Walking Dead then it's an easy sell.

Ten years ago this would have been massively anticipated but now it's like they just phoned in the idea from 2008. I mean Protagonist #7832 or Chad Strengthface or whatever we're calling him this week was the main fella in The Force Unleashed, so it's like the subject and content of the game is retro before it's even released. I just don't get why this is being treated as a huge tentpole release 🤔

I'd love to replay demon's souls with a nice remaster and an active online community. It passed me by the first time around as I only picked it up through Plus. From then I was completely hooked.

Dark Souls 3 is continuing to be my go to game at weekends. I've found myself drawn back into it and it just seemingly never gets old. Love it. That and I might start Lords of the Fallen when I'm done, plus I've been playing Lego Harry potter again with my gf- and enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would!

Oh that's it I'm going to get VR.

I don't think this is going to be nearly as popular as Bethesda would hope. Not quite Lawbringers bad, but definitely no Destiny. It'll likely do For Honor numbers and be labelled a failed experiment.

Borderlands 2, Dark Souls 3, and I've been playing the Lego Harry potter games with my girlfriend (shut it, she loves them) and have found myself actually enjoying it. Pancakes, coffee, and Lego games. It was a good time!

Mechs look VERY Kojima. HUD and crosshairs are straight out of MGS, and the font at the end is the same one used in the menus of Phantom Pain.

This is either Death Stranding gameplay, or something else he's working on. Either way it looks good!

Yeah.... Nothing for me this month. Still, the last few have been excellent so I can hardly hold one dud against them.

EDIT; I quite like the look of Read Only Memories to be fair. Looks like Snatcher and I like the art style. Nothing amazing like but I'll definitely give that a go.

I'd be happy with The Surge. It's not a game I want to particularly buy, but it's a soulslike and I dig souls.

Hmmmm.... I'm just not sure I have the time for this now. I used to love D2 and then got burned by it, so although this looks good I'm just not going to go for it.

@jacobia that's a shame fella, it's one of the best single player shooters in a very long time. Excellent story and nice, fast paced, gunplay.

Very happy about this. New Order and New Colossus were two of my favourite shooters this gen.

It gave KSI a career and so should be banished to the dustbin of history.

Having had to cancel my own wedding this year I feel for the bloke. It's a shame, but sometimes these things just don't work out. It was nice if insomniac to do that, but I think the lesson here is: don't get married. It's a terrible idea 😂😂😂

I've decided to concentrate on my backlog for now. I've got stuff I've not even played yet, so I've been steadily hacking away at that for the last couple of months. It's saved me a fair bit of cash as well!

I'll probably pick up Spiderman at some point but not on release, and I'm waiting to see if RDR2 is crippled by extraneous gouging before dropping the cash on it. Apart from that, nothing coming along that I'm particularly excited about.

Yeah I'm not bothering with it anyway. Soon as I saw it was another samurai game I was immediately turned off. I got halfway through nioh and couldn't be bothered, I know it's good and all but the aesthetic just leaves me cold tbh.

I'll definitely pick this up. Two hours is definitely doable for me, and it's good to see a title that takes this seriously while remaining informative.
The representation of Iran in the west is terrible, they're a good people and don't deserve the image portrayed here. A fascinating country with a rich culture and history.

That's a really good month. Something for everyone, a decent AAA title I don't own, a VR title I'll throw in the library now that I can actually get VR, and a decent party game. Good times!

Game of the Generation is correct. I don't think anyone would have predicted it would be that good.

@MysticMask if I'm completely honest I was just enjoying seeing how wound up you were getting. Crying into your Hatsune Miku body pillow because some dude on the internet thought Gravity Rush was average, but, you know. Keep getting wound up and all... It's pretty funny.

I'm sorry I don't have much to add to the air conditioning debate, but the NEXT patch is a lot of fun so far. I've played a few hours and I'm really enjoying it. NMS always did have a unique atmosphere, very calming. I've always liked that about it.

1. Comparing Horizon to Gravity rush? One of the greatest games this gen compared to a B title, at best? Surely you'd choose a better hill to die on. There are so many factors in there that it's not even a contest.
2. I liked Aloy. I liked her character arc, the acting, the design... Spot on. She was like a cave girl Nathan Drake. Kat was "anime slapper. Falls over a bit".
3. She moved into a sewer and got a cat, then some other stuff happened and I got bored.
4. A small fanbase that isn't above rigging votes, apparently. She's about the same level as the guy from Vanquish, only Vanquish was good.

@Th3solution if they don't market this exactly right and release it at exactly the right time, mark my words: this will bomb. I don't want it to, and it's a tremendous idea, but this is a gamble.
It's all well and good us being excited on here, but is your average PS4 owner going to go for it? I really don't think so.

@MysticMask nope. If anyone have a toss about Gravity Rush then it wouldn't have bombed. Twice. Three times if you count the remaster.
I played the first one for a few hours on vita, and found it lacked any kind of hook whatsoever.

There's a small fanbase, yeah, but hardly anything that should be scraping any kind of top ten.

Gravity rush failed because it's not a good game and it's not an interesting story. Kat is a bland character and should never have been near the top ten.

Fight me.

@playstation1995 it was called the Mega Drive in all territories except the USA, both names are correct mate.

I did notice this had been patched before so I had a go at playing online. Not perfect but a lot better now. Really though, they need to fix the online multiplayer asap.

As it's a local studio and I know people who know people who are involved, I honestly hope this is MASSIVE.

Imagine if this comes out in about 6 years' time. It's a ps5 title, and it makes a mid gen graphical and technical leap equal to the PS4 GOW. Imagine how incredible that would be.

Excited doesn't cover it. Honestly the PS4 version is easily my favourite game this gen. It even beats Bloodborne.

This one looks like it deserves support. I'll be picking it up at the weekend. Love a good BBB game.
