It amazes me how badly they're ripping off everyone who bought tables off them before, such as myself. I refuse to buy the same tables I already got again just because they decided to release an update. It shows a complete lack of respect for their customers.
@tselliot I feel like by the time VR would maybe become a "must have" accessory, the entire content would have been replaced by something like advanced AR.
Honestly, this doesn't surprise me one bit. I think the first PSVR was sort of successful because it was A: relatively cheap and accessible as far as VR went, and B: it was on sale during the peak of the VR craze when everyone was interested in checking it out.
By now I think most people who had an interest in VR have checked it out already, and with PSVR2 being as expensive as it is, I think it's only going to appeal to the VR enthusiast market, which is not only a niche market but one where a great deal of the people who are into it will most likely prefer something made for PC.
Then there is people like me, who bought the original PSVR because it was relatively cheap and accessible, that wanted to check out VR, that just really didn't care much for it at all. I wound up hardly using it, and it seemed to give me nausea most of the time. That and I simply didn't like all the VR gear, it's too much to deal with a lot of the time, kind of finicky, and way too isolating for anyone who can't just block out everything around them. That and I simply found it hard to relax while playing VR as well. In the end it's just not for me so I have zero interest in PSVR2.
The PS3 era was an under-appreciated era for Sony. It was the last time I really enjoyed the exclusive content they were releasing. Such a fun and quirky era for them.
@GrimReaper Yeah it seems like "AA" has become the big thing with PC exclusive games these days, like all of the PC exclusives I play these days could be described as that. The days of "AAA" focusing on PC is long gone.
I don't think anyone besides some gamers who are still nostalgic for E3 would even notice.
It's become an irrelevant thing as the modern age of streamed events became a thing. It seems like nobody waits for big shows for announcements anymore and just announces whatever whenever they feel like it. News travels fast and anyone is capable of putting a presentation out there.
Didn't play the beta, not really hyped for the game though. I imagine it'll need some patching before it's truly a great experience anyways. I can easily wait.
I played this recently just to check it out, and it's basically your typical Smash Bros knockoff. I didn't like how they were trying to sell all the characters separately, and since I was underwhelmed by the gameplay I just deleted it and haven't looked back.
The GameGear had a lot more Sonic titles, so it makes sense to do a collection of games on there as opposed to the Master System. Plus, Master System ports of the Genesis titles were basically just downgrades of those games, while the GameGear games had some purpose as handheld games.
If you really want to play the Master System games that badly, just download them on an emulator or go for a collection that included them. Would I have liked to have had Master System games included? Sure, but I would much rather have the full GameGear collection. As a Sega fan, I consider this whole thing a total non-issue.
@cragis0001 Yeah there is basically no discussing this with the hardcore Sony fanboys, they will always rush to defend Sony no matter how hypocritical their arguments become.
@cragis0001 Definitely. I can't take anyone seriously when they ignore companies like Tencent and Embracer so they can focus all their outrage onto Microsoft. Just comes off as immature fanboyish behavior.
@Deoxyr1bose How is that a "stunt" exclusive to Microsoft? Since when has Sony bought anyone with the intention of releasing their games on other platforms? I mean I can only think of a few exceptions, like Microsoft makes with games like Minecraft.
@tallythwack Yeah I just don't like the slow grind approach to a lot of boss battles. Like you said, it's definitely a patience sorta thing, as everyone takes on the "try and try again" approach by a certain point. It's like the game is just meant to be played like that. Personally, I don't really enjoy being punished by the games I am trying to play. Difficulty and challenge can be nice, but I don't want to be getting my ass kicked lol.
@tallythwack Lol, that sounds like my experience. Sweaty hardcore difficulty just isn't my thing. Offering easier difficulties doesn't in any impact the experience for people who prefer the hardcore difficulty challenge, it simply makes the game more accessible and enjoyable for a wider variety of people.
This game is constantly on sale for 50% off on every platform, I think that says a lot about it. I played the trial and it just didn't appeal to me at all. I found the style, story, and characters obnoxious, and the physics as well as the customizing to be lacking. That and they made the game feel way too grindy as well, with some really obnoxious cop mechanics to deal with. I'd be surprised if this game was a hit with many people.
@Dodoo Honestly, I am willing to bet these "pro" console rumors will turn out to be a PS5 slim. A revision sounds far more likely at this point than a "pro" model.
@Nem Exactly. It feels WAY too soon to be thinking about an upgrade console, and if they release a new one next year, in a few years time people will be begging for a bigger upgrade anyways, as whatever upgrade they would make this soon would probably feel underwhelming.
@Blackmagehobbit Yeah, that sounds like a good breakdown to me. Personally, I don't care about COD either, and I would like to see Microsoft buy Activision so they could finally make use of their other IP's like producing a new Spyro and THPS game.

Re: Koei Tecmo Wants to Know Which PS5, PS4 Games You Want on PS Plus
Maybe some Dynasty Warriors games as I already got the DOA games, and they only got 5 and 6 on PS4.
Re: Out Today, This PS5, PS4 Hot Wheels Game Requires a Toy Car to Play
Seems like they would have been a lot better off making this game available on Switch considering their target age demographic.

@Northern_munkey Judging by your demeanor that's an ironic thing for you to be attacking.

@Northern_munkey Well that's just, like, your opinion man.

Re: Pour One Out for Team Fortress 2 on PS3, Which Is Now Offline After 15 Years
Bad news for the 2 or 3 people still playing it.
Re: Naughty Dog Drops The Last of Us PC Hotfix After Disastrous Launch
@lacerz Maybe that's why they're so afraid of it, because it's a strategy they're already utilizing.
Re: 2K Sports Battles EA's Golf Sim with Free John Cena DLC for PGA Tour 2K23
John Cena and Michael Jordan being featured characters in golf games these days? Lol, why? Talk about pointless celebrity features.

@GrimReaper Yeah I mean PC is still a thing and it's way more powerful lol
Re: Ageing Hardware Like PS4, Nintendo Switch May Be Holding LEGO 2K Drive Back
Definitely the Switch more so than the PS4, I mean Ragnarok was made with the PS4 in mind and it's probably one of the better looking PS5 games.
Re: PlayStation Fans Are Totally Torn Over PS5 Pro
This reminds me when Switch fans were getting all riled up over rumors of a Switch Pro, I think we all know how that turned out.
Re: Rogue Legacy 2 on PS5, PS4 Still in the Works Almost a Year After Initial Launch
I've had it on Steam Deck since it released, probably the best way to play the game.
Re: Sony's OLED Bravia TV with PS5 Gaming Features Can Be Yours for a Good Price
Not exactly the biggest fan of automated features, I always seem to turn them off when I can, but I bet it's a nice TV.

I'll buy this whenever it goes on sale. I have no shortage of other games to be playing in the meantime.
Re: Vampire FPS Redfall Was in Development for PS5, But Was Canned After Xbox Buyout
@cragis0001 Yeah I would be inclined to agree, especially considering how much I loved the original when it came out.

Re: Talking Point: Is 2024 Too Soon for PS5 Pro?
Yes, I think next year is way too soon, especially since I guarantee people would be begging for a better "pro" model just a few years later.
