@tallythwack Yeah I just don't like the slow grind approach to a lot of boss battles. Like you said, it's definitely a patience sorta thing, as everyone takes on the "try and try again" approach by a certain point. It's like the game is just meant to be played like that. Personally, I don't really enjoy being punished by the games I am trying to play. Difficulty and challenge can be nice, but I don't want to be getting my ass kicked lol.

@tallythwack Lol, that sounds like my experience. Sweaty hardcore difficulty just isn't my thing. Offering easier difficulties doesn't in any impact the experience for people who prefer the hardcore difficulty challenge, it simply makes the game more accessible and enjoyable for a wider variety of people.

I would have preferred this over TPP.

This has to be one of the dumbest promotions I've ever seen.

Yes, I think next year is way too soon, especially since I guarantee people would be begging for a better "pro" model just a few years later.

This game is constantly on sale for 50% off on every platform, I think that says a lot about it. I played the trial and it just didn't appeal to me at all. I found the style, story, and characters obnoxious, and the physics as well as the customizing to be lacking. That and they made the game feel way too grindy as well, with some really obnoxious cop mechanics to deal with. I'd be surprised if this game was a hit with many people.

@Dodoo Honestly, I am willing to bet these "pro" console rumors will turn out to be a PS5 slim. A revision sounds far more likely at this point than a "pro" model.

@Nem Exactly. It feels WAY too soon to be thinking about an upgrade console, and if they release a new one next year, in a few years time people will be begging for a bigger upgrade anyways, as whatever upgrade they would make this soon would probably feel underwhelming.

They're really trying to hype this generic looking zombie game.

Maybe they should make games that appeal to people, not trends and twitter.

Well how many PS4 games are still a highlight game that's really selling? Seems like there wouldn't be much competition by this point.

Makes sense how Switch sales would be slowing down in Japan, because they have sold a record amount of consoles there. PS5 has a lot of catching up to do.

I find ALL platinum trophies to be a pain in the ass grind. It's probably why I don't have any, because I never care about trying to 100% games like that, it's just tedious.

@Blackmagehobbit Well Sony has undoubtedly completely ruined their relationship with Activision no matter how this deal turns out. In fact if it gets blocked, that means Activision loses an absolute fortune and will probably hit hard times as a result. Wouldn't surprise me if they would have spite for Sony as a result and intentionally sabotage anything they have going with them, maybe even eliminate Sony entirely from their supported platforms.

Ironically, Microsoft buying Activision is probably Sony's best chance of having any sort of decent relationship with them.

@Nem They have been offering everyone 10 year contacts and have been pledging support for all other platforms, how do you get "they want it for nobody but themselves" out of that? It also seems like a highly hypocritical take for Sony to be suddenly complaining about the concept of exclusive games as well, a concept that they have made their brand image revolve around.

Jim Ryan is the worst thing to happen to Playstation, and he could wind up costing Sony big.

@Dr_ENT Yeah it's like on Xbox they're banking on someone who wants to buy the game that for some reason isn't on Gamepass. It's like if the game was released of PS+ Extra day one, hardly anyone would be buying it.

I suspect MK8D, GTAV, and Minecraft are always there because they're basically essential games for most people.

@LifeGirl Yeah I wouldn't go here for an honest take on this series lol, that's for sure. You can tell whoever is writing these is definitely their target audience though, which is probably why I can't relate.

I settled on the starlight blue for my second controller, I would have preferred the GOW edition ideally but I wasn't about to hunt around or pay a scalper fee for that (same deal with hogwarts edition). I like the light blue though, it's a nice color that's easy on the eyes and makes it more interesting than your boring basic black and white. The other colors just didn't appeal to me as much, the red being a bit too much of a wine red for my taste, and the purple just not appealing to me as much. The camo and pink just didn't appeal to me at all.

So why would I want the Edge? What's the main selling point besides the programmable buttons and back paddles? Like how does the trigger adjustments benefit over dualsense?

@NEStalgia This kinda thing is why I feel I might struggle to really get a whole lot out of my PS5 this gen, it definitely feels like it might be destined to being sidelined as a secondary console until some real killer apps come along that aren't just more of the usual. I mean PS+ Extra apparently has some good stuff on offer, but GamePass is really standing out as the best service with the most consistently improving offerings. I mean I remember what it was like waiting around forever for my PS4 to have some decent games, and with games this gen taking even longer to develop, it's hard for me to really get hyped for much.

@Shad361 Yeah, I too fear the PS4's success made Sony really lazy and complacent this gen. They got some decent hardware innovations, but they need the software.

Sounds like they know everyone is disappointed, so they're pulling the "that wasn't the REAL show" move.

Yeah, this review is way off the mark in my experience. Far from being the best Borderlands game, it hasn't aged well at all.

@tameshiyaku Well said, gone are the days when Playstation was home to fun and interesting concepts, all we get these days is a steady stream of the same old nonsense you were pointing out.

Still waiting on Sony to announce something that excites me.

@Niktaw To be honest there is a lot of irony to that statement, as some people on that side who claim to oppose hate are themselves hateful of others out of intolerance for contrary opinions.

You can't be preaching the values of tolerance while displaying a lack of tolerance yourself, it just makes people look like a hypocrite. A great deal of hate stems from a lack of dialogue, people being quick to confront and react as opposed to learning how to respect others or simply discuss things. Preaching to and lecturing others is not a discussion either, discussions are a two way streets where both sides need to listen and be considerate.

What I often see is a holier than thou attitude that drives conflict, people believing they're the righteous ones and everyone else needs to side with them for that reason. That is not a healthy attitude for society, where you are always going to encounter people with conflicting thoughts and ideals.

@Thumper To be fair, I think paying customers should be entitled, I mean that is what they're paying for, entitlement to play their game whenever they like.

This is the kind of game I would never purchase.

Personally, I am getting pretty tired of all the remakes, especially now that they're trying to sell them all for full price each.

@Morzy Ditto, I get pretty tired of seeing these sites try to push an opinion like I should be expected to side with them. I think we could all benefit from some more tolerance, and learning how to engage as opposed to confront.

@RemembersGems I believe it would be called pandering. I mean I'm gay so I would be the last person to hold gay romance against anything, but this just felt like they were blatantly trying to pander as opposed to it feeling natural.

@Loftimus That is pretty much what today's media is all about; aggressively trying to force something on people that they didn't want.

That, and I always relate defensive responses to this kinda material to religious pressure. For example, if this show was created by religious fundamentalists who were pushing their ideals, I am sure the people crying foul at criticism would be quick to criticize it. The only difference is how this is THEIR ideals, so they want everyone to conform to it.

@TheNomadLad I think that hits a good point on the type of selective outrage this article is focused on. It's like they're outraged when people leave 0/10's just because, but they never make a peep about people leaving 10/10's just because. They are outraged when people are mean and nasty towards one game, but they don't make a peep about people being nasty towards another game.

It's like I will admit that bad behavior is bad behavior and it's something that can present issues, but you can't be selective in your outrage and expect everyone to take you seriously.

@bLiNdSiDe82 That's why I have been largely losing interest in gaming sites. Gone are the days when they were properly focused on what matters, now they run social politics clickbait/outrage articles.
