I'm hyped! Curious to see what they do to "improve" it. I personally liked Miles Morales more, thought the whole game was tighter, zero bloat, perfect length, gameplay felt just a little better, it was Spider-Man perfected.

I think there's a showcase coming but I'm still not buying the May month. Sony loves to bury everyone with the exclusive megatons, going first does not seem like something they would do. Unless they're in direct partnership with Keighley's Summer Game Fest (June 8-10), I'm guessing they go AFTER everyone on Thursday June 15th.

The more exclusives the better! Bring it on!

@KingPev fighting games low key have some truly fun story modes! Mortal Kombat is the best example, Injustice 1 & 2, Tekken 6, etc!

Glad to see Sonic doing good but I'm still fascinated at how people love this game so much. I beat it, boss fights and their music were good, open world was an absolute slog collectathon and the stages aka the most important part of Sonic games imo, had very little effort put in to them.

I'm just happy knowing someone saw through Phil Spencer and Microsoft's underdog, unity, hero garbage they've been spewing out to "charm" everyone for the past few years.
Looks like its time for big bad Microsoft to open up their pockets, pump up the 47 studios they already own, start producing good exclusives and get in the fight if they want to compete with Sony & Nintendo. The buy everything and everyone strategy has been shut down.

Halo, Gears of War, Banjo, etc, etc, every IP Microsoft gets complete control of they absolutely ruin it, can't wait to see what they destroy next! Some of the worst management in gaming history for over a decade now.

Variety is more important than ever! Especially with the multiplayer/live service market being cornered at this point with the same games on a loop (still can't believe Sony is chasing the fools gold), the variety of single player games has become extremely key in keeping gaming fresh!

A Destiny 3 would be irrelevant without abandoning old gen and having a new engine, something Bungie refuses to do, they've been band aiding a Halo Reach engine since 2014!
The game has been a disaster since it went "free 2 play" (with full price expansions every year), Witch Queen was a nice comeback but they went right back to all of the crap right after it. The reality is that they can pump out one big AAA level expansion every 2 years or so and everything else is usually reskins and filler that grind you for engagement. I don't deny their success, I just personally don't find it fun anymore.

Not a big deal. It does seem Sony & Nintendo did pay up for the API stuff so we can continue to share screenshots, videos, etc, and Microsoft did not, which is hilarious on so many levels.

Microsoft is a garbage corporation finally showing their true colors. Little rich boy throwing a tantrum because they can't buy relevancy in this industry. These are scare tactics to get their deal through that they can use due to how corrupt politics are, nothing more, nothing less.
The Xbox brand as a whole is stagnating fast, Game Pass will never breakthrough beyond its little bubble, they destroyed all of their worthy IP, they can buy whatever they want, it will not save them from irrelevancy. They have been a stain on gaming for over a decade now and its only getting dirtier.
I hope they keep poking the Japanese bear, we need Sony, Square Enix, etc united against these corrupt losers even more than they already are.

The only thing I can do at this point is cancel my pre order and pre order it again!
Seriously though, between this and Zelda, it is going to be a legendary gaming Summer!

The delay is smart because with Ragnarok still hanging around, RE4, Jedi Fallen Survivor, Tears of the Kingdom & Final Fantasy 16 all hitting in this half year, these crappy service skinner games deservedly get torn to shreds even harder.
Will it change anything? Doubtful, they're just praying the release schedule is a little lighter early next year! Good luck!

I said in another article that I probably won't watch but I'm sure I will lol. I just think they aren't spreading it out enough, still 2 months before launch and now its the same day as Zelda TOTK's final trailer.
I want the game to be a huge success, I really like what they're saying about it, plus they seem super confident in it and it seems like its gonna be a true AAA exclusive banger we're looking for!

@XenonKnight the showcase? I would guess a few reasons, don't overshadow exclusive FF16, stay out of Zelda Tears of the Kingdoms way, and mid Summer is usually when the big shows happen.
There's also a fair chance FF7 Rebirth is part whatever big event they might do so they're gonna have a lot of FF to showcase.

They've already sold me on this, I'm pre ordered up and everything, might actually not watch much of it just to not see anymore.
I find the timing curious, 2 months away to do a big blowout on the game is a little early, or is it because they finally have a showcase in June and want to get this done before anything overshadows it!

I'm completely sold on this. God of War Ragnarok seems to be such a influence on it like they said, open world is not my thing, I prefer it like this. So excited!

The "don't like them, don't buy them" attitude is exactly how the industry got to where its at with all of the skin and live service crap!
But this is just classic Capcom garbage after they drop a banger to satisfy the suits, anyone buying this stuff is silly and I'm not really sure anyone actually IS buying this crap.
This does seem to be way more aggressive than the other stuff they've done though, which always something to be mindful of. These companies can go from hero to villain fast.

Don't get me wrong, I think Sony is actually right in the responses they're putting out and I hope that deal gets torn to shreds, plus simply letting Microsoft buy up the industry and justifying it by using their own failures as ammo is a complete joke.
I'm just not sure what Jim Ryan and Sony are going for at this point, it's clearly a rigged game for Microsoft and all they have to do is the only thing their good at, keep tossing up $$$ until they get their way.

Zero interest. A lot of rumors suggesting Sony is diverting a lot of resources to a lot of stuff that isn't going to have much traction. PSVR2 barely has a market right now and that's a mighty fine piece of hardware. I would prefer them to focus more on GAMES.

One of the greatest games of all time somehow gets even better! Awesome!

With that being said, they need to deliver WAY more PS5 ONLY exclusives before we start seriously talking about a PS5 Pro.
If this ends up being true, they're basically saying the base PS5 was a cross gen transitional type of hardware? No way Uncle Jim Ryan!

These numbers are awful and there's no way they're actually happy with them.
Imagine a meeting with Jim Ryan: "we're gonna put our legendary acclaimed exclusives that usually debut with millions from our loyal console players, on PC and peak player count will be about 40K." Flop after flop, the PC community has rejected this whole PC push.

Well congrats to them. I will join the others heading back under a rock with Patrick Star and continue to enjoy God of War Ragnarok, which remains one of my favorite games of all time!

Now we're stuck with Keighley but hopefully Sony and some others bring live events back at some point. I get the directs, state of plays, etc but nothing beats those big events!

Sackboy is nice! Pretty crazy how fast these games' value drop if they hit PC!

The key here is hosting their own event at the same time, that's a direct middle finger to E3, ESA & ReedPop. It's sad E3 is going down but I'm just happy we all got to enjoy so many of them.
I really hope Sony does a live event again, just watch the God of War E3 2016 reveal, THAT is what these events are made for!

I have zero problem with exclusives, it's the PR unity garbage Phil Spencer and Microsoft put out that is awful.
The truth: Microsoft tried to say exclusives don't matter, they failed. Sony & Nintendo destroyed them by having excellent first party output, Microsoft couldn't match it, so now they're buying up the industry to secure exclusives.

Legendary platformer Crash Bandicoot, well known for single player fun, returns with a multiplayer only game headlined by a battle pass! Gaming never fails!

This dude Phil Spencer is such a phony gremlin. Xbox were the KINGS of timed exclusive deals when he was second in command, gradually lost all of them because of their own failures and then started playing the unity/underdog card as they lost so much ground no one would even give them deals anymore!
They want to let these cronies buy up the industry, fine, but enough of acting like this dude is a hero!

I just don't understand the people who get so worked up about exclusives, what would gaming even be without them? I understand Microsoft has abandoned trying to make good exclusives and is simply trying to buy their place in the industry but without Sony & Nintendo's exclusives, gaming would be a live service joke!

Big single player exclusives = success. Phil Spencer can say whatever word poo he wants, they haven't delivered a legit AAA story driven "banger" in a decade and this is the result.

The amount of quality developers and great game ideas being dragged through the mud just to see if there's a Fortnite skinner type explosion out there is so sad!

We been knew...but it's still hilarious to see them finally admit it. Game Pass destroys software sales and they thought everyone was going to simply buy into the scheme of all games being unfinished multiplayer "live services" filled to the brim with microtransactions and ads..as they slowly got control of the industry and gained a monopoly. NOPE.
I'll gladly pay 70 bucks for games like Ragnarok, Rift Apart, Spidey 2, etc before I ever give in to the crap games industry Microsoft wants to make.

Exclusives sell everyone, COD sells the very casual gamer, which leads more people to the exclusives, Sony has been riding the prefect storm of both for awhile now.
I don't judge anyone for playing COD, I got away from it because they've stopped properly supporting the actual classic COD multiplayer in favor of Warzone.
