@GamerDad66 I'm sure Sony will be fine with the few who want b/c that bad. If b/c matters more to you than simply playing new games(which is what a new console is for), then just get that PC. Your expectations from where I sit, are quite high.

@Jay767 They won't. People always like complaining about something. If Sony gave it to them, they'll find something new to argue about.

@PaulDanby156 No offense, but I don't think Sony is really going to be bothered much with the minority of gamers who want it. There will always be someone to take your place or anyones for that matter in buying a PS5. If b/c is such a huge deal for you, then perhaps maybe you should buy a Series X. The majority are going to be looking towards the future rather than the past.

@oldschool1987 You in fact, don't as well. No one really has to. All you have to do is look at the numbers, and that says it all. At this point, it's just beating the dead horse. Numbers don't lie, but people sure can. Which is why I'm done arguing with someone who chooses to ignore them. Good luck.

@oldschool1987 It's quite unrealistic, pal. Even Xbox doesn't have it fully. Lol. Also, it's not necessary. As long as it has PS4 b/c, no one is really going to complain but the minority of those who want beyond that. The rest, are simply going to be looking towards the future instead of the past.

From what I'm reading from certain comments, is that they have unrealistic expectations. That's the internet for you. Best to wait until everything is revealed before giving a final judgement.

@Apple5 I'd rather have an actual reveal personally, but I didn't expect too much from it considering it was meant for developers. Even so, it was interesting and learned some things from it, and I like the idea that games will have faster loading times. I notice a lot of gamers focus too much on power. There's more to games than just that alone. It appears that Sony is going for balance from what I watched, and I'm all for that.

@Royalblues The presentation was for developers, not gamers. It was obvious. I'm not one to call names, as that never really gets anywhere. However, what did fans really expect from it? They were told what this was going to be, so no one should really be upset. People have high expectations. That is not "excusing" them. That is calling it like it is. I'll reserve any judgement of Sony when we get an actual reveal. Also, it's the internet. People get called names all the time. My advice is, grow a thick skin. It won't be your last rodeo.

@Agramonte I'm saying no one should be surprised. I'm aware that they will still flip over it. Irrational behavior is just human nature. I say let them voice their disdain. They won't listen anyway.

@Agramonte Persona 5 isn't even a first party game, so no one should really be surprised if it does happen.

@DominatorV93 I only see it becoming a negative if they start releasing just about everything to PC, but there's no indication of that happening. Dreams to PC makes sense considering the type of game it is. Many love game creation type of software, so I can see it being huge on PC. Other games like God of War, Uncharted, or the Last of Us, should remain with PlayStation. A few on PC generates interest, and may convince those outside of PlayStation, to buy a PS5.

@Juanalf Believe it or not, but the casual gamer doesn't care about what is "definitive" or what isn't. They just simply play the games. Only people who care about that type of nonsense, are tech obsessive gamers.

I'd imagine it would cost $100 USD at least. I'd dive in if they added a download voucher for Survivor and Dead Aim.

@clvr I always go by the belief of "nothing is written in stone" in regards to the video game industry. Nintendo may have rights to AC, but it may not be permanent.

@johnny30 Nothing from what I've read over the years ever says that Nintendo were going to develop it. The contract always had Sony developing it with some help from Nintendo's R&D. The tech behind the add-on was always a product of Sony, hence why the Nintendo never tried to sue Sony for the PlayStation name, when they set out on their own.

You act like I'm new to video games(gamer since '86). Lol. I'm well aware of that. However, many do buy consoles day one. I never said everyone does. If so, PS4 sales would be in the hundreds of millions. Either way, as long as Sony does everything right during the reveal and come launch, it will sell one way or another.

@Ken_Kaniff I honestly doubt any real minority will be upset enough not to. Lol. Only the small minority who are complaining online will probably be pissy, but they will eventually get over it and likely buy it. Sony isn't going to be concerned over that. Those who are bothered by the mass of rumors can simply not click on said articles. Isn't hard for me. And when I do, my expectations are low.

@johnny30 Playstation was always designed by Sony. Lol. Nintendo signed a contract for Sony to develop a CD-add on. There's plenty of articles about it that you can google to bring you up to speed.

@BarefootBowser Well that is certainly your opinion, but many out there will buy one for those very reasons. I certainly will.

@Ken_Kaniff That's their problem, not Sony's. No one told them to buy into rumors. This is why consumers should ignore rumors and wait for Sony to confirm what is true and false. If anything, this builds up anticipation either way, so it isn't hurting them. If anything, it keeps the interest going.

@Neolit Why does it matter whether its sales come from PS4 owners or new comers? If it sells in the double digits, that's a system seller. Also, it would sell just as well if it hits PS5. Lol. There are many people out there who buy consoles very late in the gen, and even buy them again if there's another port. Let's not pretend they don't exist. ;P

@Neolit The first game sold 17 million between PS3 and PS4. How is it not a system seller? If it gets ported to PS5, it certainly will sell more PS5 consoles.

@Porco You're probably right, and I'd leave too if this is the actual plan. Bringing your heavy hitters to PC is a big mistake, and will likely affect sales if those PS4 owners(many who probably have PCs) believe other games will be ported as well. If it does happen, then I see this Jim Ryan regime hurting the brand.

@Ken_Kaniff If you're excited, then what's the problem? Lol. I highly doubt Sony is going to go through Wired again for a reveal. Likely it will be something different. What that is, who knows, but I'm not going to speculate too much on that. So what if they want to save some money. As long as they do something that will keep people on the edge of their seats/couches, it shouldn't matter. If the articles bother you, you do know you're within your rights to just simply overlook them, so I don't know why you're even complaining. Perhaps people may be build their selves up a bit, but that's their problem, and not ours. Can't control how people react to news.

As for your last sentence, well...that's simply your opinion and you're entitled to it, but I simply disagree. With a new console, they're going to want to pull all the stops to make sure everyone knows about it, so it's fair to expect there will be a proper stage conference for the PS5. It's okay to reserve judgement, but I don't feel it's good too worry so much either. Regardless, I think we both have our own views, so I'll just leave it at that. I do appreciate the civil conversation.

@Ken_Kaniff Perhaps maybe you should? Lol. People have a right to be excited. It isn't killing anybody, and I'm sure you'll live through it. This is a normal thing that happens every time a new console is close to being revealed. It's not going to change, so you might as well keep your peace. Telling others to chill out isn't going to alter the outcome.

@Shirayuki Not sure if it's possible, but if they found a way to make it compatible with PS3, PS2 and PSOne, I'd be 100% on board(not that I'm not already). I've enjoyed PS1 and PS2 days. It would make things a lot more convenient.

@TheBuzz The Pro doesn't seem to have that issue, at least not mine. My original didn''t have any problem for the first two years, but then it started acting like a 747 over time.

@necondaa I've always waited a year before buying a new console in a new generation, but this will be my first time breaking that tradition. I like what I hear and read about the PS5.

@necondaa Some tend to reach for something that's not even there. I see it as smart to keep things under wraps for a big reveal. Throwing information away before a reveal takes away from the excitement. I don't agree with everything Sony does, but they certainly are smart to wait until the right time to spill the beans.

@carlos82 I don't like waiting either. Most sources point to b/c with PS4, but who knows for sure. I'd imagine it's likely true especially with Xbox One having it( not perfect, but has it nonetheless). I mean if they really want to 1-up MS, they should find a way to get PS3 compatibility. Though I can't see them going as far as PS2 and PS1.

@Marios-love-child It may be best to wait to see how it peforms before assuming it will only be slightly faster and have visuals no different than PS4. If I had to take a good guess here, you're not likely to be right.

@Flaming_Kaiser Well, there's a demand for retro gaming, but I highly doubt it outweighs modern gaming and the future of gaming. Remakes and remasters I think are bigger in demand because it usually brings either something new to the table or improves on the originals.

@hotukdeals Yep. Despite the fact it can be quite a handful to have so many consoles on hand, you can always make it work.
