@Oram77 I mean don't say it too loud but Dreams has a very good recreation of the original Super Mario Bros in it. I think when it first released they were scared creators would make better games than themselves for free so they started taking them down. But now I think it's super under the radar for anyone to care.
Dude this is awesome I'm gonna check this out sometime, Trip's Voyage was really good. There are some solid stand alone releases on Dreams that totally make it worth it. I hope someone can preserve the creations in someway after many years because I don't trust Sony to keep them running for decades.
@EfYI I think running a 24 hour in game race sounds like an insanely horrible idea, imagine running a 24 hour race getting 2nd place then to run it again you spend another 24 HOURS to try again. To put something in a game is to say it's worth your time to play. I can't imagine any situation where this is a good use of your time or even fun.
@JP80 Well sometimes older games are well worth playing and experiencing today any many of them are better than alot of modern games. It like arguing against watching movies older than the 2000's alot of them are still really good and enjoyable today.
@SeaDaVie I don't think Cod needs to die but I think they are in a similar situation to Pokémon. Regardless of how bad their games quality is it sells way more than if another series had a lazy entry. I think both Cod and Pokémon both need to be humbled and have a really bad flop so they are forced again to innovate and create really good entries instead of low bar yearly sequels again and again.
This seems like a solid use for AI. As long as the end product is solid it shouldn't matter. This also isn't quite what everyone's breaking out the pitchforks for in AI game development. Now if storytelling was AI then we riot.
A PS5 patch would be fire. A thing keeping me from having it installed is the load times being so long compared to the original. With the PS5 load times I'd love to do more time trials and relic races.
I feel like I might've had an exerience like that before on the PS Store. Like I was browsing the store adding to my wishlist and the next day a more expensive version of the game was 10 bucks, I wasn't suspecting it might go on sale at all. It may have gone on sale like that before but it definitely felt weird.
I'll just blow up some more Mako reactors. Nice try Push Square. Also discs are one single product on the planet I don't think stopping their production is going to make a substantial enough impact to matter. When vehicles being produced constantly and junkyarded in the future is far worse.
@LifeGirl The lengths people go to defend Nintendo with some decisions is crazy. Nintendo isn't perfect like most companies and when they do bad should be called out and praised when they do good. But people will give up their firstborn to defend them on some of their worst decisions.
@WobberleyBob Thats not very big for modern games. I think that may be Battlefield's biggest strength to Cod. Can't win if the game isn't even installed on the console. I've wanted to play a Cod campaign every now and then but the install size made me rethink doing it.
@Vovander I don't know whether that is right or not time will tell but there are a bunch of people arguing that they won't buy 1 third of a game which is a bad way to look at the individual entries but over time I think this trilogy will pay off greatly with re-release potential galore.
I like Rebirth but I missed the town based quests that were contained only to the towns in Remake. Towns in Remake was a huge highlight of the experience but in Rebirth it feels limited on what you can do in towns since the quests quickly make you leave to do the quest elsewhere in the overworld. If they could have more in town quests in Part 3 that would be fire. I think this is one reason why I like Remake a bit better. Also more than 2 person party side quests would be really cool so its not limited to Cloud and one other person for more diverse and interesting dialogue outside of the main story.
I am curious of the quality of this I wouldn't buy it most likely due to being a rip off but maybe the writing is better or something. I wasn't too big of a fan of Animal Crossing New Horizons because outside of placing furniture everywhere it felt like it had even less content than New Leaf on 3ds and even more boring villagers that all act the same. So I am curious cause Nintendo feels to be heavily pulling punches for content, you wouldn't need much to surpass Animal Crossing New Horizons.
A remake of Halo 1 would undoubtly sell extremely well on PS5 but I wouldn't buy it. Having the Master Chief Collection makes it feel overpriced assuming its a full price or near full price game. Also I wasn't a massive fan of Halo despite having played most in the collection. Its almost more appealing just because of the craziness of it being on Playstation.
Metal Gear 1 or 2 nes they may ruin it but it could be really good if managed well. I know with no Kojima many would disagree but it would be amazing if it worked. Also a Peace Walker Remake would be really cool. I would definiely be really really excited for a Metal Gear Solid Remake. The Shadow Moses section in 4 makes me wish for it because that was incredibly fun and nostalgic.
I think the game will sell really well with this strategy but I think Remake on Switch 2 will do extremely well since its the one platform least exposed to the series
I want them to do a ground up remake of the PS1 MGS or the NES Metal Gear games. I don't know if they can pull it off but I'd like to see them try. Also I hope the MGS 3 Remake has some sort of real dlc even if its just levels and no story. Then players can't really be mad if it doesn't include Kojima's direction and fans are given more content. I think a VR mission style dlc would be perfect for this and a dream come true.
@MrPeanutbutterz I typically try betas unless they are really big to download, it genuinely looked pretty fun but I'm less out to buy multiplayer games because of the PS Plus requirement and I already have games I'd like to play. I still haven't tried Helldivers 2 because of that but I hope to eventually.
One thing that makes me more mad about all these dumb skins that I don't want is making games like Cod considerably larger of a download. Its not so bad with Fortnite because the graphical style doesn't demand as much but for Cod its hard to have on console without extended storage or being a diehard fan
I hope GTA 6 launches at 70 dollars to prove a point to anyone trying to sell their game for higher. I don't like GTA very much personally but I know it will be very technically impressive and sell regardless of price.
@get2sammyb I really hope, my least favorite part of those games is Link being a living brick wall with eyes. Most of Breath of the Wild's plot is told through a Zelda monologue. Then he saves her and its like
👑
👁👄👁 🧱🧱🧱(Oh Link you're the best hero of the kingdom. Thank you for rescuing me! Then he stares at her happily then credits roll.) How am I to care about the stories of these characters when the interactions of the main characters are just a monologue?
Ace/Air Combat is awesome. It hasn't changed much since the first entry and its always been a blast to play. I really hope they release a collection of them at some point because the gameplay isn't much evolved since its PS2 days but it always has been a joy to play.
If it works on Xbox consoles that could be a big deal but this is pretty normal for PC. I mean the only hub bub is a brand that isn't Steam playing Steam games. The Steam Deck can already play Playstation and Xbox games on the same platform😮
I think part of the length the series has ran for. People, myself included tend to stick to games where you can start at the beginning. Final Fantasy is different because the setting and characters changes almost every entry but outsiders don't know that. Are you more likely to buy Call of Duty or Call of Duty 23? Mario Kart 9 or Mario Kart World? Some series are unaffected by this because of the game type Madden and Fifa for instance. But when the game is story based and has 16 entries people subconsciously assume they are missing out on hundreds of hours of context and don't buy it. I thought Final Fantasy seemed cool but I never planned on playing them but Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PS Plus got me and I loved it and now I'm in.
The 80 dollar push is greed brought on by the excuse of the tariffs so the companies don't seem as bad. 80 dollar games are only going to make more money in some scenarios I bet Mario Kart will make more from it, but I imagine the majority will sell less if the go to 80 dollars. They'll also have less fans for future games. I could see this price shift resulting in even more layoffs and closures than help to these companies and consumers.
Games like Echo the Dolphin was why I really like the Genesis even over the Snes. Echo is so unique and creative and has a dark weird atmosphere that is really cool and strange in the best way. There are no games really like it. It feels a bit like how modern indie games feel compared to many samey big open world games and whatnot. The games at the time may not be better than Snes but the creativity and vibes were overflowing on the Genesis. I wish we had more of that in todays gaming space, everything feels like it can easily fit into a genre but Echo and many others are so unique it can't so easily be classified into one box.
Honestly Hyper Scape was alot of fun but it felt waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too bullet spongey especially when mixed with the fast paced parkour abilities and fast regen time. I had fun despite this but some people just have bad accuracy in fps games so when tactics can't even outplay accuracy to any degree it feels really bad to play. Call of Duty Warzone is like this for instance its bad when you unload at someone from behind and they do some slide jump bullcrap and turn around and kill you when in normal modes he would've died since you had the advantage.
As someone who hasn't played the original yet the grandeur of both games was off the charts. I loved Remake and Rebirth and the game I'm most excited for is the third part. The combat was amazing, the music was amazing, I really enjoyed the characters and writing. It felt like a total joy to play and replay. I really like Kingdom Hearts and it felt like a more grown up version of that. Also the progressive combat music is super good. It may not be for everyone but it was definitely for me.
