Sounds like the soundtrack is going to be good! I really like the idea of the sound changing as a situation in game progresses. Dynamic soundtracks are some of my favorite ones.
Like in the Final Fantasy VII Remakes how the music ramps up when you are in combat and dials back down when you are out of combat using the same song melody.
It is really good solution in comparison to say the original Kingdom Hearts or Sonic Unleashed where they had completely separate battle music and ambient music where its really jarring going back and forth from a nice peaceful song to a completely separate chaotic song then right back to peaceful over and over again.
Being seamless and smooth with the soundtrack is a huge perk and something I love to see as a music enjoyer and as the player.
I was always a huge fan of the original Kingdom Hearts. The music and atmosphere did such a good job of conveying a huge environment and sense of place while still being kinda small actually. I also loved how interactive the first one was with puzzles making it feel more lived in even compared to 2 with the potion making and using magic to get treasure and other things. Also shout out to the amazing iconic sound effects when getting items leveling up, equipping items etc. etc. etc. and different sounds when beating different heartless.
Trash Ubisoft all you want but 60fps patches for years old games is super goated. I wish all companies would do this even if there is minimal financial reimbursement for doing so.
It might've been worth it if the dlc was part of the package. I haven't played the other zombies maps but I think its zombies are too hard to make it worth the purchase when I played it on PS3 earlier this year.
@Leinad7 I do think the data is accurate but it is manipulated to favor digital media. I prefer physical media over digital but I am willing to buy digital if it has a significant price decrease. I do believe I technically buy more digital due to 5 dollar sales on games I want to play. The profits though I believe are misaligned to meet their view. I believe the usefulness of the data would be alot less biased if it was based on profits of physical vs digital media since then it would account for games at much smaller than full price other than number of games sold. This could also take into account free games being downloaded, counting as "purchases".

I have zero interest in playing the game due to its whore like nature and meme quality story. I am a little interested in seeing the technical showcase side whenever it does release through YouTube. I enjoyed RDR2, its story was the biggest highlight and at least it took itself seriously, but the gameplay was pretty meh in my opinion way too repetitive. Also the anti consumer practices with the discs makes me even more against GTA 6.
I think this is partly due to the game size of Destiny 2 being massive. I enjoyed what I played when I did but having no prior experience with Destiny it was easily first on the cutting board when I wanted to install another game. It was really polished and smooth but it was too giant of a download and I didn't care enough about it to keep it installed. I think Call of Duty has a similar problem but stays afloat because of its enormous popularity but I personally can't keep it installed because I don't care about it enough vs other games I could have installed instead.
I enjoy those machines but only played them as a kid on other people's dime. Just like enjoying an arcade but not the stupid pricing and bad game balancing that comes with it. This does look like it could be fun though.
@LiamCroft There is a small typo with where at the end of the article nothing big but I thought you should know. (That's a bit crazy to think about, even if it's whre the industry is headed.)😉
Its the same thing with Super Mario Galaxy collection which was really trashy I feel. 2 games from 10 years ago if bought separately is 80 dollars and together 70. People pay it for nostalgia and since its the first re release in awhile and the company weaponises it.
The action instead of turning based stuff is the most interesting to me. The other Square-Enix RPGs sound really nice but something different from turned based combat for a change with the lovely visuals sounds great.
I only play free online for the most part. I still haven't played Helldivers 2 despite wanting to for awhile because of paid online multiplayer it feels like I'm wasting money when I'm not playing and if I am playing because of the subscription but want to do something else I'm wasting my time.
The PS5 is missing basic game collections like the PS3 had it doesn't need to run better if they just ported the games to be played. I'd honestly like a new InFamous over the old games. But they could re-release old PS3 games with a simple 60 fps patch on them. Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus for instance is an amazing Ratchet and Clank game albeit short but it did have technical issues with the framerate. Fun as heck though!
It is interesting because this does happen. The Last of Us Part II for instance the internet joined together and hated on the game although many have never played it. Despite the story qualms people have with it myself included to an extent, the game itself is really well made and the combat is very good and versatile. Which even if you absolutely hate the story you can still have an enjoyable time exploring and playing the game for the game.
I bet its pricing for games that never go on sale but might make it on sale if its on someone's wishlist to test the waters until its low enough that they buy it, and also base it on if people have bought games at steep prices before to get more money.
I don't get why you shut it down instead of selling them, the competition could buy them but morally twisted to shut them down after acquiring when they've done well up to being acquired
@get2sammyb Roblox is kinda like a pile of trash with bits of high quality stuff if you sift through it. When you do find the quality stuff, its good fun but until then you are playing trash. I do enjoy it occasionally but it is a micro transaction cesspool(except for the exceptions) and pretty much a children targeted casino. I don't spend money on it so I don't care but it is concerning for young kids who don't already have mental safeguards against evil corporate practices and microtransactions. Same issue with Fortnite but worse in Roblox.
If they had it run all Playstation discs 1,2,3,4,5 only then it would be worth it for me, and convince others of its value. But if they don't do this or something reaaaaaalllly interesting with it I don't think its worth it.I'm still slowly playing Ps Exclusives for Ps5 Never played Gow Ragnorok, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Returnal, Death Stranding 1 or 2, Gran Turismo 7 I haven't even played most PS5 games I want to.
I hope they remove it. It's one of the things stopping me from playing the original games. If I can't play it with family it isn't worth it. Violence doesn't bother me but stuff like this does, its pointless to have. Similar to Metal Gear Solid 3 the game would be completely perfect if it wasn't for the unnecessary hoes making for awkward moments if played in the main room. Also I really like God of War 2018 because its serious and family friendly(relatively).
@Max_the_German I absolutely despise the cases of Switch 2. The giant red bar with the tiny switch 2 logo is horrible design. Some games(Metroid Prime 4 is an example) have a paragraph of text covering up even more of the game cover art. I don't know how that logo design made it past the prototype phase without being eliminated for the final draft. It feels like an unspoken push to eliminate physical hardware.
@danzoEX What difficulty did you do Yozora on? I haven't done hard mode in Rebirth yet except to Under Junon and I'm not saying I doubt you but I had a pretty tough time beating Yozora on critical.
As much as Ubisoft is hated on this is very nice of them to do and can change the experience to be even more positive and fun. If only Nintendo did this for free...
I enjoy trophies sometimes but it takes time and programming to do. If they gave more games without trophies and it took less time to re-release I can do without them. Armored Core on Ps1 re-release didn't have trophies and it was still fun regardless.
@Logonogo In this case it doesn't matter but most games don't have reliance on servers so it doesn't matter when you put in the disc as long as the console functions you can still play it. This is more of a problem with online only games.
This could be pretty useful my dad would sometimes ask for help on bosses and leveling up/equipping gear while playing games. Sidenote: My dad was once playing God of War on easy mode and killing the vallyries most of them are very very easy on easy but the final one still feels like a hard boss fight like on other difficulties. I taught him how to abuse the special axe attacks and it destroyed the other ones. He asked for help on the last one I said its easy you can just do the same thing, and I died. Then had to learn how to beat it the normal way.
I don't really think I'm going to upgrade much past this point the PS5 is already really solid the only way I'll upgrade is really really good games, backwards compatibility to PS4 still on PS6, and they still have a disc drive. Also if miraculously it has backwards compatibility with anything before PS4 I'll definitely buy it.
I wasn't really a big fan of Astro Bot compared to everyone else(I had a much better time with Playroom)but this level nailed it. I really wish all the levels were like this. It honestly was a bit disappointing to me its a really high quality game but it didn't capture the magic of Playroom for me outside of a few levels.
I would play more free multi-player games if the storage was low to download. When I get a new single player game these are first to go. For instance I'd like to play Apex every once in awhile but I don't have it installed. This does look fun though.
