@Zuljaras I just beat Castlevania Bloodlines this Thursday! Have fun with it! I also played with John Morris because of the classic whip. With the strange password system instead of unlimited continues(if not using save states) I went back to a level sometimes to beat it using less lives to help me later on in the game. I ended up beating it with only a small amount of lives left. Have you played Castlevania 2 yet, (its the only one I haven't beat yet in this collection) if yes how was it?
Also if they want something that could seriously compete against Mario Kart release a new Modnation Racers game advertise the heck out of it and put a full budget into it. That game has so much potential its not even funny. It one of the few kart racers that feels fast like Crash Team Racing it has powerful powerups and sick tracks and User creation track tools where you can make you're own tracks
@breakneck Dreams was great the shotgun blast was them not providing continued support and a PC port of the game to keep it going. If any of you haven't tried Dreams and want a really great collect a thon platformer, try Trips Voyage in Dreams its so good in fact the creator was hired at the studio that makes Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Also nice they have time attack versions for these levels too I know it would be a bit janky but if they had time attack versions of some of the main stages it would be a relatively easy update and boost the replay value even more
I hope they're tough as nails the main game was way too easy for me. Even the final final challenge took me only a few attempts. I was hoping the last challenge to be more close to the difficulty Super Mario Galaxy 2 Grandmaster Galaxy where victory felt really earned.
@DonkeyFantasy Just recently seeing it again from my sibling playing it, it does look way better but initially I played it on a 4k tv and performance mode looked pretty blurry I swapped to graphics with 30 fps still enjoyed it greatly though, he's playing on a 1080p screen instead and on performance mode it looks perfectly fine at 60 fps and plays really well. I plan on replaying it again sometime and the better performance sounds amazing to me but I still have some other games to beat first so I'll restrain myself from starting up hard mode for a bit longer
Just continue to re-release as many Ps3 Ps2 and Ps1 titles and ensure they can be played and bought on modern consoles. They don't need to be very shiny just good and playable. There are tons of great games out of grasp of gamers yet are really great
A collection of older Ace Combat games would be a great boost to the series. The older entries all hold up very well and if people's first entry was 7 I think they will be pleasantly surprised how good their previous games are for older consoles.
@Northern_munkey I think it is interesting tech that isn't necessarily bad as a concept. Someone more creative than me could probably use this in an interesting way that we haven't thought of. Its most likely for more intense accessibility in games though
Also them saying they are more solid than ever is great news. I heard a story that Hitman 2 didn't have full cutscenes because they didn't have enough money to pay the animators so thats why they had the mostly static images with dialogue overlayed over it
@Th3solution Alot of these types of stats you can't properly keep track of without heavy stalking they probably mean anyone who played Hitman regardless of how would count as one
@LifeGirl Well there isn't much to be hyped on yet except that there is a sequel incoming eventually. I'm excited to see what it looks like but the game could be anything at this point
@ATaco One thing I don't like is limited timed events where you need to be a certain level to play it. I wish they would just keep all the events available so you don't feel rushed. Some of my favorite events are limited time
Ps3 emulation would open up a whole new realm of compatibility if made possible, I hope they don't give up on it because it would be greatly benificial to everyone if it worked like Ps1 and Ps2 emulation they have now
I understand why people have it for their GOTY but I wish it was a bit more difficult or more exploration focused like their Christmas level. I didn't love this game nearly as much as Playroom and I was really excited for this
To me the combined setup of being able to buy and subscribe to a service like how Playstation has it is ideal. If they set it up like that instead of the Nintendo approach I think it could be cool
@Kira_Moonvalley This was quite literally me. I know the game is good but something about it felt off where I didn't enjoy myself nearly as much in comparison. In Astro's Playroom I had loads of fun. Part of the fun from Astro's Playroom I think might be part of my enjoyment problem is that game was stocked with bots all doing fun and cool animations. I counted in the beach level of Astro's Playroom at least 50 bots in just the first area that are all cool and fun to look at and see all the animations. In Astro Bot there are a total of about 8 bots per level with less in others with there being a focus on platforming rather than sightseeing and a sense of place like the bots in Playroom(sense of place being like there being a reason for them being there rather than it being a dead place made solely for platforming on). Astro's Playroom's levels felt way more alive in comparison to Astro Bot too. The Christmas level dlc in Astro Bot was one of the few levels that felt alive like Playroom.(Sidenote: The most fun I've had in Astro Bot was the Christmas dlc level, others I liked were the first level, the mouse level, the tree level, and the challenge levels.) I also think since Astro Bot had a big focus on platforming rather than platforming/sightseeing in Playroom. Since Astro Bot is focused on platforming its difficulty was too easy in my eyes where you can beat most enemies by punching or lasering mindlessly as well as platforming being really easy making there little to overcome aside from the challenge levels. The platforming in Platroom wasn't very hard either but the sightseeing portion balanced it out where it was still satisfying and fun. Another thing is Astro Bot's music didn't land alot for me. In Astro Bot I really like the music in the first level, the tree level, the festive level and some others, but many of the songs felt kinda offbrand like someone did a song like this theme already but better.(I felt this way with the casino level music compared to Sonic 2's casino song for example) Also I didn't like the hip hop guy in the back of some songs its just not my taste. (Shoutout to GPU song in Playroom its my favorite song of them all) I don't think the game is bad but my enjoyment in comparison was much much less than I would've liked and understand why many people love it but I felt underwhelmed after playing it. After playing the Christmas level in Astro Bot (which I loved) I wish the game had most levels be like that instead of how it was even if there were less levels because of it. It had nice exploration, lots of powerups providing gameplay variety and a dense open level with lots of paths and things to look at and discover and good amount of playtime for it being a small area because of how full it was.
Despite me not being a big fan of Skyrim but really liking Fallout this could be very cool. Also it would be one of the more deserving of a 1:1 remake than many others
Also Hypercharge really cool my brother also got it since he liked the concept of tiny people in a regular world. The game is very fun and I hope to give it a real go one day
@Stevemalkpus I have Army Men 3d on PS1 my brother has the Army Men collection with Sarges Heroes, Air Attack, and Army Men 3d. We had lots of fun playing these games multiplayer. In Army Men 3d they let you place guards on capture the flag and we would put it to hard mode so the guards were way more effective and it was alot of fun to try and break in to snatch the flag. My brother was so into the game he was trying to find out what the special keys do in multiplayer and trying to find any secrets. We found an out of bounds area where you glitch climb a mountain and past it there was a weapon crate testing zone and a colored key if I remember right. I still wonder what they do if anything or if it was something the devs planned to do then decided not complete but it was mysterious.
@QualityGeezer You gotta remember its popular vote and Asia is a huuuuuge portion of the world population. This demonstrates why this kind of voting isn't used in the main Goty choosing process.
I'm happy they are keeping it playable (no need for the dramatic black and white) another game that did this was Darwin Project which had a cool draw of battle royale with a player controlling the arena changes like areas closing, gifting supplies, and putting bounties on players etc.
@Medic_alert Agreed, Super Mario 3d All Stars being limited time on their online store created scalpers and false demand its twisted. I wish people would speak out about those things but Nintendo can do no wrong.
