@Zuljaras I've never played the Mega Drive version of Dracula but I have nostalgia for the Gameboy version. I never ended up getting very far because I was young and not experienced at videogames at the time I played it. Our Gameboy broke and my dad threw away our game cartridges including Dracula and a 007 game the only ones we still had was Tetris which was lost at the time. We found another Gameboy at a church rummage sale it was light green with Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and my main first exposure to Mario games. I never ended up beating Dracula but being an experienced gamer now I really want to beat it someday.

Re: The Last of Us Boss Answers Its Most Profound Question: Was Joel Right?

GoatFace04

Alright so you got Ellie the only known cure to the infection and the first thing you do isn't test her or see any potential other way to get the cure maybe from her bloodstream but its to kill her. I know its a game but that doesn't make sense. If I was Joel I'd be pissed that was their first option. If they did kill her there is a giant chance the cure very quickly dies with her with zero results and his dead adopted daughter.

Re: RPG Fans 'Very Sensitive to Feeling Like They Wasted Time,' Says Atlus Battle Designer

I am appreciative what the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters did with the fast forward, Auto Battle, and added map. It makes combat substantially faster while not changing progression and wandering through dungeons with endless turn based battles is greatly diminished with the map. Its much nicer and chill experience to what something I may not have played otherwise due to tedious things.

Re: Konami Announced a New Suikoden Game, But There's a Huge Catch

@themightyant I agree with pretty much all you've said but I think some regulations to some of these types of microtransactions could be beneficial. Mainly against lootboxes because its the most anti-consumer. Lootboxes are like lottery tickets with it selling only hope of a big reward with extremely slim chance of getting anything. But governments tends to not care about games enough to do anything for their benefit. It would be nice if preservation efforts of gaming was backed by government support but as it stands most preservation is illegal and considered piracy when the only legal means of getting many old games is by paying hundreds for a used copy. I also agree with your other points about it being similar to abusing drugs, media, etc but I do think some guards against predatory practices could help people who aren't aware of these things. Similar to older folks being more prone to cyberattacks and phishing because they don't see the threats like people who grew up with technology. Don't play too much Vampire Survivors and good tidings😎👉👉

Re: Konami Announced a New Suikoden Game, But There's a Huge Catch

@themightyant I do like Fortnite and Genshin for the games they are but if I was to recomend them to someone without restraint and they started spending a concerning amount of money on them it's saddening. Somebody we knew discovered had a mobile game gambling addiction and spent thousands of dollars on it. Most people can play a game free just fine without it being a problem but for some people it is really addictive with their time and money needlessly draining. This is more of a Genshin issue than Fortnite because of its random paid mechanics but its a real issue. (Side Note: There was a presentation I watched of how to best make a mobile game profitable and they went deep into the mind games of how to entice and lure people to spend large sums of money. It was twisted but pretty enlightening on the depth of the methods they use and think about. One thing they talked on was having an alternate premium game currency instead of using real currency in stores to disconnect their mind from the real cost of purchases. Gems etc.)

Re: Unofficial PC Port Sparks Fresh Demand for Sonic Unleashed on PS5

This is my favorite Sonic game I played to Ps2 version and the boost system I thought was waaayyy better than Sonic Generations. The music was amazing and the night stages had great atmosphere. The day stages also had the best level design I've seen in a 3d Sonic game even over Generations. On the Ps2 this is quite possibly in my top 10

Re: Another Disney Classic Looks Locked for PS Plus Premium in the Future

@Deadhunter When we initially got Toy Story 3 it was the PS2 release (which I think is the same as the PSP one) we thought it would be the same version as the PS3 release from the really cool gameplay footage we saw from a discontinued gaming news channel on cable. My brother was upset and we later got the other release and I had great fun with both games but if there was only one on Ps4/5 I think the Ps3 one would been the better choice. Toy Box mode is great fun and getting gold to expand town and get new things to mess with was really satisfying and not alot of games have this kind of gameplay loop.

@Zuljaras Thanks for the feedback! I believe am going to like it quite alot but I waited this long to play it because its not a nice short linear jaunt like the others and I'm waiting for me to be in just the right mood to give it a real go. I just got into Castlevania a year ago because it was a NES classic that people really love and I've been having a great time going through the entries. Castlevania's atmosphere, music, and gameplay is all great and is truly unique to most games I've played. Now I plan to play the other games and eventually get the Dominus Collection.

@Zuljaras I just beat Castlevania Bloodlines this Thursday! Have fun with it! I also played with John Morris because of the classic whip. With the strange password system instead of unlimited continues(if not using save states) I went back to a level sometimes to beat it using less lives to help me later on in the game. I ended up beating it with only a small amount of lives left. Have you played Castlevania 2 yet, (its the only one I haven't beat yet in this collection) if yes how was it?

Re: After Astro Bot's Success, Expect More Family PS5 Games from PS Studios

Also if they want something that could seriously compete against Mario Kart release a new Modnation Racers game advertise the heck out of it and put a full budget into it. That game has so much potential its not even funny. It one of the few kart racers that feels fast like Crash Team Racing it has powerful powerups and sick tracks and User creation track tools where you can make you're own tracks

@breakneck Dreams was great the shotgun blast was them not providing continued support and a PC port of the game to keep it going. If any of you haven't tried Dreams and want a really great collect a thon platformer, try Trips Voyage in Dreams its so good in fact the creator was hired at the studio that makes Ori and the Will of the Wisps

@DonkeyFantasy Just recently seeing it again from my sibling playing it, it does look way better but initially I played it on a 4k tv and performance mode looked pretty blurry I swapped to graphics with 30 fps still enjoyed it greatly though, he's playing on a 1080p screen instead and on performance mode it looks perfectly fine at 60 fps and plays really well. I plan on replaying it again sometime and the better performance sounds amazing to me but I still have some other games to beat first so I'll restrain myself from starting up hard mode for a bit longer
