I remember running this at a stable 60fps on my jailbroken ps4. No idea why the 30fps lock was put there to begin with.

@RoomWithaMoose This. A lot of people in the comments are bending over backwards to justify paid multiplayer and pretending like they own the free games they get from plus. It's sad to see, really.

1. Xbox is not dropping the payment requirement for the online multiplayer. They're just making a PC. That's it. Dropping it implies that they had the option to include it in the first place, which is obviously not the case.

2. No. Ps6 will NOT be the only next gen console to have a paid online requirement. Switch 3 will also have it.

Definitely one of the laziest game companies out there.

@Dom_31 Because it literally is different for consoles and one of its biggest selling points. If I wanted to have to upgrade it every few years I'd have bought a pc, instead I buy a console because I expect to use it for 10 years, give or take.

The reason I upgraded to PS5 from PS4 this year was because the list of PS5 games I wanted to play that didn't/wasn't going to release on PS4 got pretty big and it was only getting bigger. PC doesn't have any games so it never made sense to buy a gaming PC. They're quite overpriced and all PC games (minus the shovelware) come to PS5 anyways. I suspect I'll do the same for PS6; wait until the list of PS6-only games grow way too big for me to ignore before I buy it.

@Porco Ps5 games coming to pc doesn't matter because pc games ALSO come to ps5. There's just no reason to buy a gaming pc if you have a ps5.

@Veritas7Ax The reason why your comments come off so silly is because you're talking about ps5's "legacy" when it hasn't even lived through half of its lifecycle. Ps4 isn't even dead yet lmao (although admittedly it's getting there.)

I recently did a playthrough of P4G and gotta say, this game really aged like milk. I'm just curious to see how they'll go about fixing the problematic parts of the story (Yosuke's homophobia, Naoto's arc etc.) NG+ mode needs a revamp too. We should be able to carry our equipment over like in 3 and 5.

Looks like switch 2 and xbox are getting the inferior version of the game. This reminds me of how they ruined the ff7 remaster on ps4 by adding cheat buttons that you couldn't toggle off.

Correction: the second best. The title of the best goes to Fatal Frame 3. Still good news though.

Yeah, no. As others have said first person view doesn't make a game scarier, nor was RE7 a scary game. Definitely a fun game, but not a scary one. First vs third person view is literally just a preference thing.

Elden Ring was their worst game, but this is good because it means they have nowhere to go but up now.

Unlike Persona 3, p4's story and characters aged like milk. Curious to see how they'll fix the issues with Kanji and Naoto's storylines as well as the problematic characterization of Yosuke. Won't buy the game but still curious.

Ps5 has Switch 2 beat both in terms of raw power and first party exclusives, so he's not wrong. Switch 2 is a terrible console to play on a TV but it's an okay handheld device, and there's a market for that too.

Yeah the trailer looks awful, as do the graphics. That aside, Persona 4's story aged like milk so if for nothing else I'm curious to see how they'll go about fixing it. Kanji and Naoto's segments in particular need a lot of rework. I won't be buying it regardless though, just like I didn't buy Reload.

@Nepp67 To be fair the devs ARE pretty sexist. They're allowed to exclude the femc but we're also allowed to call out their misogyny which has been very apparent by their past interviews.

So obviously this game is trash but it's interesting in that comparing p5 to p5x gives us an idea of how good a gacha game can be when you get rid of the gacha, timegating and fomo elements, predatory monetization, always online requirement etc. and make it a 60$, complete game. It's just that it happened in reverse here.

@Boxmonkey Console gaming is even cheaper than pc if you get "torrents" for games so I don't think pc will pose a threat in that regard.

No thank you. Remaking P3 at least made sense as it was the best entry in the series, and even that remake turned out to be a lazily made, incomplete cash grab. At this point I'd take nothing less than Persona 6 from Atlus.

Well, that's pointless. I just checked and the patch is still easily accessible and downloadable.

Trophies don't really matter that much, so the title of the article is a bit odd. The actual news part of this news is a game that hasn't been out for that long getting its servers axed.

That said, I think it makes sense to lock some trophies behind multiplayer from the company's POV since it can create fomo for people who care about trophies a lot. I'm just glad it doesn't affect my enjoyment of a game.

Playstation has always been and continues to be a major risk to PC business. I don't expect it to change.

Saying it'll be stronger or even on par with base ps4 is just wishful thinking.

Could be that Persona 6 reveal that was rumoured a while ago, but I don't think it'll come out later than 2025 so I'm not sure.

It was an awful dlc and easily fromsoftware's worst, so it was never in a position to compete with full games anyways.

At this point the only exciting news for GT would be an offline patch for GT7.

It's the best Final Fantasy game but I'd only be okay with a real remake of it and not whatever FF7 "Remake" was.

Ah, Dark Souls 3. Not as good as Dark Souls 1 but still much better than any game FS made after. A remaster would be cool I guess. Unnecessary since it can already be played on ps5 but that never stopped game devs before.
