
If the news of Persona 4 Revival’s release window has you yearning for a new high school JRPG to enjoy, then Perfect World has the, er, perfect answer for you.
The catch is that it’s only playable on PC and smartphones for now, although a console conversion has been mooted in the past.
Persona 5: The Phantom X has been available in China and select parts of Asia for a little over a year, but now it’s getting its full western roll-out.
In fact, you can pre-load the game on PC, iPhone, or Android if you want to get started as soon as the servers open.

For those of you counting down the seconds until release, here’s when service is set to start on 25th June (26th June in Europe) around the world.
- North America: 8pm (Wed) PDT / 9pm (Wed) MDT / 10pm (Wed) CDT / 11pm (Wed) EDT
- UK/Ire: 4am BST
- Europe: 5am CEST / 6am EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 12pm JST / 11am AWST / 1pm AEST
While it’s not been developed by series creator Atlus, character artist Shigenori Soejima and other members of P-Studio have contributed to its creation.
Despite being a gacha adaptation of the popular JRPG franchise, it shares a lot in common with the main series.
The calendar system has been simplified, but you’ll still be dividing your time between school, recreation, and dungeon crawling.
