Trophies don't really matter that much, so the title of the article is a bit odd. The actual news part of this news is a game that hasn't been out for that long getting its servers axed.

That said, I think it makes sense to lock some trophies behind multiplayer from the company's POV since it can create fomo for people who care about trophies a lot. I'm just glad it doesn't affect my enjoyment of a game.

Playstation has always been and continues to be a major risk to PC business. I don't expect it to change.

Saying it'll be stronger or even on par with base ps4 is just wishful thinking.

Could be that Persona 6 reveal that was rumoured a while ago, but I don't think it'll come out later than 2025 so I'm not sure.

It was an awful dlc and easily fromsoftware's worst, so it was never in a position to compete with full games anyways.

At this point the only exciting news for GT would be an offline patch for GT7.

It's the best Final Fantasy game but I'd only be okay with a real remake of it and not whatever FF7 "Remake" was.

Ah, Dark Souls 3. Not as good as Dark Souls 1 but still much better than any game FS made after. A remaster would be cool I guess. Unnecessary since it can already be played on ps5 but that never stopped game devs before.

There should be a law in place preventing companies from doing scummy stuff like this. But in any case, they should've just made the remaster cost 30$ instead since that would've been a more reasonable price for it. Selling the same old game but with Remaster in the title for 50$ just doesn't make sense.

Female gamer here: I never played GoT because it featured a male protagonist and I wasn't a big fan of the setting in the first place. I'll definitely wanna play this one however, having a female protag is always a huge selling point for me. Especially in recent years, I started to get sick of game companies pushing male protagonists into their games. I really hope the game industry moves away from the "male is the default gender" mindset in the future and the gamers who complain about female protagonists learn that women exist and they make up half the earth's population lol.

We need Tomb Raider Anniversary on ps4. Can't believe it hasn't happened yet.

Don't get me wrong, I still played through it just to see if it they added enough new content to justify cutting the femc and charging for The Answer instead of making it part of the base game, but nope. Just a lazy cash grab of a remake, but they won't be grabbing any cash from me lol.

That's a funny coincidence since I'm doing my 4th playthrough of it rn. I don't know how I would rank it compared to the other 2 dark souls games; calling it the weakest one feels weird because it does a lot of things better than the others. However, it's easily miles better than elden ring, which I consider to be the worst fromsoft game to date.

As someone who has beaten code vein, demons souls, dark souls trilogy, bloodborne, sekiro and elden ring... Yes, I'm very sick of them. Especially with how bad of a game elden ring was it really soured me on the genre.

A mobile gacha game that looks like a mobile gacha game but for some reason it doesn't have a female protagonist option. I wonder what their excuse is this time lol.

Sony is really based for this. My respect for them just went up.

I like how they bundled it with bug fixes and qol stuff so you have to choose between censorship and a buggier experience lol. Granted it's such a small and inconsequential thing so I don't really care but the fact that they bothered to do this in the first place is not a good sign.

As a woman, having a female protagonist option in a game goes a long way in making the experience more immersive for me regardless of how often I see/hear my character, so I find this "minor" addition pretty cool. I've never heard of this game before but I'll definitely be checking it out solely for this feature.

Lol is this a joke? Of course Lara is more iconic than Mario, there's nothing shocking about that. However, what IS surprising is Mario being so high up on the list.

Honestly I still see ps4 as a modern console whereas xbox one aged like milk lol.

Still happy with my ps4 and not planning on buying a ps5 until games stop being released on ps4.
