I’m just happy that other people love AC:Origins too! I tell everyone it was my absolute favorite PS4 game!

@bozz I’m less likely to believe that otherwise they would have released it last year. The first iteration is gonna do record numbers for sure.

@themightyant I actually think that is the stance a majority of players actually will/do have. Plus, the kids that "deserve" more are already making pretty good NIL money. I follow D1 wrestling which is a sport that loses schools money and some of those kids clear 6 figures real easy. Big boy sports like football and basketball make a lot more.

I cannot confirm nor deny if i've been playing the closed beta, HOWEVER, I confirm that I own both the previous iterations of the game and any steps taken in the direction of horizon are welcome. Also, not sure but if a certain feature from the beta translates to the main game, then I'm a day one buyer.

@Gbarsotini I didn't think the last trilogy Lara was fragile in the slightest. She came off like a 80's action movie protagonist. Getting gutted, shanked and just keeps on going. Plus her kill count was WAAAAAAAY high.

@zekepliskin To be fair, as someone who LOVES RDR2, It's probably my 3rd favorite PS4 game behind AC: Origins and Days Gone. But I'm also an idiot who bought GTAV 4 times. To be fair, one of those was as a gift, but still. And in a way, if I had a product that literally just printed money for me, I would probably prop that up a whole bunch, too. It sucks for those of us that just want AAA companies to make really good games, but I also get it.

I paid for the 2K23 early release, I loved the old Golf Club games. I’m gonna get the EA game as well. The teaser looks good, but this is still EA. Which means I don’t fully trust them….

@Nepp67 I would argue that Angry Joe manufactures a lot of issues to make CONTENT. Its easy for him to thumb his nose at Madden YouTubers, but he does the exact same thing. And that criticism is sponsored by G-Fuel. I’m a football fan and yeah, there’s a lot of ways that Madden and EA suck, but I think this review is fair. Joe also has his points, but also bolsters some of them with straw men, again to make content and sell pubic hair trimmers. Agree to disagree, I guess.

@Blaze215 Angry Joe isn't exactly fair in his review, either. His Madden review has now become a meme of itself. Also, while I'm not here to give EA a pass, it's pretty clear to me that a one year development cycle seems kinda crazy. The next NCAA football game is going to have a 3 year cycle to get off the ground.

@Danloaded I like Angry Joe, but his assessments aren't always fair. Plus, he's tilting at windmills. Even if Madden had a viable contender, it would only accelerate the implementation of certain features. The fact is that AAA sports titles need more than a 12 month development cycle so they will always have to pick and choose.

@Texan_Survivor I disagree. AC: Origins is one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm biased as Origins was my favorite last gen game and quite possibly my all-time pick, but it's a real beaut with the new patch.

@lolwhatno meanwhile, I'm over here wishing they would make a translucent controller with big ole LED's so the whole thing lit up. Even if it was corded. I had a 360 controller like that and it was fantastic!

Counterpoint, I liked it better BEFORE the patch. Maybe I just haven't found the right setup, but I think nerfing the player has made the experience worse. At least, for me. A big part of the fun of the game for me was the ability to run and gun. I can get down with a tactical game, but my instincts want me to go back to playing it like a Wolfenstein and its resisting against me, now.

Tony Hawk potentially hurts, especially if they remaster/remake THUG, but even so, we have to share the Show with them now, they can give us Tony Hawk, OR Forza Horizon. Lets be fair.

Origins is hands down my favorite in the series and it's not even really close.

Call me sentimental, but I have a huge soft spot for Bayek of Siwa. Origins is one of my top 10 games of all-time. Maybe tied with Days Gone for best PS4 game.

@Jeevz You get that the WWE is very much fake? Does it still require athleticism? 100% Do those dudes get beat up? Absolutely. But pro wrasslin is still as much "real" as Keeping up with the Kardashians is a documentary series.

I get what they're doing. They are gonna wrap these with the PS5 upgrade of GTAV into some kind of package which is foolish. I would pay $70 for a decent Vice City remaster alone.

I bought this game for switch during the pandemic, It's fun but I found it pretty challenging for me. But I still love international competition type games. I would buy any world cup (FIFA, hockey, baseball, etc) in a heartbeat.

@Voltan So, this is a loaded question. Haha. In earlier iterations, there were quizzes that affected your GPA and thus your eligibility. You also had to manage your time between being a good teammate, a good student and a social member of your campus. That has all since been dumped as the veneer of college sports being something other than feeder systems for American pro sports has faded. On a franchise or dynasty scale, as they said before, you have over 100 possible teams, with full roster turnover every 5 seasons.

@doctommaso I saw a guy on reddit that made a custom franchise using college teams. I thought that looked like fun so I may try that out.

@doctommaso I like your outlook, but I would venture you may be in the minority. I've seen a lot of chatter for people that are bitter. But I'm actually kind of with you. I am always a bit bummed when I'm playing online it appears like they haven't put any thought or effort into there identity. But that's just me and having a general affinity for athletic aesthetics.

So, my assumption would be, If they truly are allowing gross-gen play, you would automatically be the away team if playing against a PS4. Or, what would be a real kick in the nards, they allow PS4 to load created parks online, but they can't ever make their own.

But for real, even without the stadium creator I'm always eager to play with a customization suite, the game, even in beta state, looks gorgeous. I was impressed. But Sammy is 100%. DD is IMO the best of the card collecting modes. Equally fun/challenging/rewarding and if you wanna dump real life money in, you can, but you don't have to.

As much as I played March to October and didn't really hate it, it was just a means to accumulate team affinity points.

She's pretty big here in the US. I would say she's a definite A-lister and for the dev team to get a random shoutout, would be really pretty cool for them. If you don't care, NOT leaving a comment is literally the least you can do. It requires 0 effort to not comment. Also, wishing cancer on anyone is real ***** up, bud.

@FixMadden21 NHL actually has a pretty good creator suite.

@Fyz306903 Can't speak directly to this game, but I know that games like NHL offered you the 94 Rewind version if you pre-ordered. Sometimes pre-orders come with early access or digital currency or some people may just feel comfortable with the notion that they've laid their money down and they don't have to worry about it later.

@eltomo I'd say it's similarity to Madden will be relative to how soon it's released. I'll reserve my harshest judgements until after I get my hands on the game to see if EA is truly invested in reviving this series or they're just mad that Maximum Football is making money in the space that EA used to.

@Darten Haha, not meant to be a flex. I'm just saying, as far as the card collecting sports sims, I find that DD is the least grindy without having to pay to win. Also, I have a very good team that I am trash with. So, no flex here.

I'm a Show fanboy, so take whatever you will with a grain of salt. But as someone who pretty much plays all AAA sports sim titles, I personally feel that the Show has the model most rewarding to solo players. The only money I've spent other than purchasing the game was for a fella to make me custom team logo. I have a team with 98 overall and my whole team is diamond quality. Just from playing Showdown and Conquest.

I had my hopes that EA would have strung together something where all 22 players could be independently controlled by their real life counterpart. THAT would have been interesting.

I won a PS5 that was delivered on Christmas Eve. Otherwise, I would be in the "I can wait" category. Like, it's nice for what it is, but I wouldn't go pay scalper prices to play 5 hours of Miles Morales (When you can get largely the same experience on PS4).

This might be my most anticipated title. Step aside huge vampire lady with big hands!
