It’s been one of the most anticipated features for years, and here’s your first look at it in action: MLB The Show 21’s long-anticipated Stadium Creator mode. While the feature will be exclusive to the next-gen versions of the game, the above trailer showcases how you’ll be able to design your own ballpark from scratch, adding ornaments, walls, seating areas, and much more. It looks way more in-depth than we ever imagined to be fair.
You’ll be able to use your creations in both Diamond Dynasty and Franchise mode, although we’re eager to see how developer Sony San Diego is balancing this, because obviously erecting some really high walls could prevent anyone from ever hitting a homerun, which doesn’t necessarily sound like a great foundation for fair online play. Whatever the case, you’ll be able to share your stadium with friends and strangers online.
Are you planning to design your own ballpark, and what do you envisage it looking like? Check out some examples in the trailer embedded above, and let us know what you plan to do in the comments section below.

it's cool that you'll be able to build your own stadiums but that trailer was bad. Ugh, that mayo joke.
Absolutely stoked. Unique features and dimensions make things more interesting. I wish modern baseball had more of it.
So, my assumption would be, If they truly are allowing gross-gen play, you would automatically be the away team if playing against a PS4. Or, what would be a real kick in the nards, they allow PS4 to load created parks online, but they can't ever make their own.
@GamesVanDerBeek That would still be a great feature for PS4 owners, though. I'm just as excited about trying others' stadiums as making my own.
@doctommaso I like your outlook, but I would venture you may be in the minority. I've seen a lot of chatter for people that are bitter. But I'm actually kind of with you. I am always a bit bummed when I'm playing online it appears like they haven't put any thought or effort into there identity. But that's just me and having a general affinity for athletic aesthetics.
@GamesVanDerBeek Yeah, I just wish people could focus on the positives. But I can understand some degree of disappointment.
What I really want: A full game featuring Muppet Fernando and Coach.
@doctommaso I saw a guy on reddit that made a custom franchise using college teams. I thought that looked like fun so I may try that out.
@GamesVanDerBeek That's really cool. It's amazing what people have done with rosters.
