Re: Talking Point: Would You Upgrade to a Supercharged PS4?

EWolf

Haha the general consensus is stick to one console for an entire generation. Same way I feel. Hardware upgrades for consoles? Then you might as well buy a PC and upgrade it over 5-10 years. I used to own a Sega CD unit, very limited game library, games were very expensive.

Re: Hardware Review: The Perfect PS4 Hard Drive Upgrade Kit for the Clueless

EWolf

@dryrain
As far as I know there was a system update that lets you backup your entire drive with the installed games as is to an external HDD. You then need a flash drive with the complete OS firmware on to boot up your PS4 and then do a restore on your new HDD. Most guys put in a 2TB HDD as it is currently the largest 2.5" HDD available. Well I haven't seen anything bigger. And the jump from 500GB to 1TB isn't really worth it. Maybe the guys at Push Square can do a revamped PS4 HDD replacement guide to include the whole backup to external HDD and then restore procedure for those that don't know.

Re: No, Your PS2 Discs and PS2 Classics Won't Work on PS4

EWolf

@Tasuki Because the PS2's laser unit has a certain life span and I still own a fat. Sony stopped producing replacement units round 2008. You only get generic ones but these are rubbish. I still own a fair amount of PS2 games which most are in excellent condition. I'm lucky if my PS2 reads a dual layered game like God Of War 2. So yeah there are those of us who would really appreciate the effort Sony could've done by allowing us to still use PS2 games we own on the PS4. If only I knew then what I know now, I would've probably bought 10 extra laser head units.. :-/

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 81

EWolf

Finished Diablo III ROS earlier today, then started with bountys. Gave it a break and then fired up Max Payne. Gonna do a Max Payne-a-thon this weekend. Once I'm finished with 1st one then going onto Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne. Shotgun's the best, loud, meaty and bad guys fly backwards! Mr. Woo would be proud. Oh and then there's bullet time, last bad guy flys back in super slo-mo. Dual Barettas look badass when slow diving though

Re: This Licensed PS4 Controller Is for the PC Master Race

EWolf

We've heard and seen these gimmicks before, it only "emulates" the functions of the dualshock controller especially the mouse which would presumably emulate the right analogue stick. If the game doesn't natively support kb/m then the results are not going to be satisfactory and won't feel like playing an FPS with kb/m.

Re: Sony Admits PS4 First-Party Lineup Is Looking a Little Sparse This Year

EWolf

So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in..Exclusives!
Haha just joking, relax people exclusives are coming.
BTW Darksiders 2's box art has appeared on amazons site, a remastered game I'm looking forward to:

Maybe Push Square can reach out to Nordic Games and ask them are there any plans of also releasing the first one?

Re: First Impressions: How Brutal Is The Elder Scrolls Online's Combat in Its PS4 Beta?

EWolf

I'm still not sure if I should get ESO TU for PS4 or PC. Apparently there is no native controller support for the PC version, and is supposedly going to be implemented after the launch of the consoles. I watched a recent clip of gameplay footage on the Xbone and so far looks great. IMO playing a 3rd person RPG with a controller feels better and more comfortable than keyboard and mouse. Would've been nice if you guys couldv've recorded your gameplay for this article though.

Re: Guide: How to Back Up Your PS4 HDD to a USB Drive

EWolf

@Alpha So the PS4 still doesn't support NTFS, Exfat or any other superior file system other than FAT32? Well that sucks Donkey Kong nuts, FAT32 can only copy files that aren't larger than 4GB. And the data is more susceptible to corruption if there's a power failure.. :-/

Re: Rumour: Holy Remaster, Batman! Arkham Duo Set to Swoop onto PS4

EWolf

It's probably going to be the original PC port with higher res textures etc. Like Darksiders II. Hopefully with all the dlc and bells and whistles. Mmmm I have them on steam but still, playing them again on my "souped" up sexy looking black box with a dualshock 4... Ooooo the temptation!

Re: The PS2 Rises from the Dead as Retailer Accepts Trade-Ins Once Again

EWolf

@EyeDeeNO76 "Have you used the PS2 network within the last year, does any of the PS2 games still have online play?" Tbh I don't recall ever using it for online, not sure if the online features work anymore. Only did the online thing when I got my PS3. I used it mainly to make images of my games and copy them over the network from my PC to my PS2. Makes load times a breeze. Last game remember playing was The Thing, still have to finish it..
