Haha the general consensus is stick to one console for an entire generation. Same way I feel. Hardware upgrades for consoles? Then you might as well buy a PC and upgrade it over 5-10 years. I used to own a Sega CD unit, very limited game library, games were very expensive.
Broforce looks the better of the three. Can be fun playing as some of your favourite 80's action stars. And if I'm not mistaken its developed by guys from Cape Town.
@Mega-Gazz I have to agree. I've played alot of action RPG's on PC but when Diablo III came out on PS3 and I picked up my controller, never looked back.
"many will question whether the PlayStation 4 is powerful enough to take advantage of that." It is my understanding that the PlayStation VR comes with a black box which is supposedly some kind of secondary GPU, which connects to the headset and then connects to the console.
Yeah it's not the end of the world. Still have some games in my catalogue that needs finishing. Oh and Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas everyone and all and all..
@dryrain As far as I know there was a system update that lets you backup your entire drive with the installed games as is to an external HDD. You then need a flash drive with the complete OS firmware on to boot up your PS4 and then do a restore on your new HDD. Most guys put in a 2TB HDD as it is currently the largest 2.5" HDD available. Well I haven't seen anything bigger. And the jump from 500GB to 1TB isn't really worth it. Maybe the guys at Push Square can do a revamped PS4 HDD replacement guide to include the whole backup to external HDD and then restore procedure for those that don't know.
@Tasuki Because the PS2's laser unit has a certain life span and I still own a fat. Sony stopped producing replacement units round 2008. You only get generic ones but these are rubbish. I still own a fair amount of PS2 games which most are in excellent condition. I'm lucky if my PS2 reads a dual layered game like God Of War 2. So yeah there are those of us who would really appreciate the effort Sony could've done by allowing us to still use PS2 games we own on the PS4. If only I knew then what I know now, I would've probably bought 10 extra laser head units.. :-/
Nice review. Strange it isn't 60hz, will be interesting to see what Digital Foundry says about it if they do. My order is already on its way. Maybe Gunfire brings out a patch to sort out the bugs.
Finished Diablo III ROS earlier today, then started with bountys. Gave it a break and then fired up Max Payne. Gonna do a Max Payne-a-thon this weekend. Once I'm finished with 1st one then going onto Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne. Shotgun's the best, loud, meaty and bad guys fly backwards! Mr. Woo would be proud. Oh and then there's bullet time, last bad guy flys back in super slo-mo. Dual Barettas look badass when slow diving though
We've heard and seen these gimmicks before, it only "emulates" the functions of the dualshock controller especially the mouse which would presumably emulate the right analogue stick. If the game doesn't natively support kb/m then the results are not going to be satisfactory and won't feel like playing an FPS with kb/m.
Battletoads and Double Dragon on Famicom with my 5 year old nephew. Seems that's all he wants to play which I don't mind! Monsters In My Pocket, Contra, Streets Of Rage and Golden Axe will soon follow..
Sweet! Have you guys perhaps ever asked Nordic if they plan on releasing number 1 also? They might be testing the waters with Darksiders 2 before re-doing Darksiders 1?
So am I still waiting For this world to stop hating Can't find a good reason Can't find hope to believe in..Exclusives! Haha just joking, relax people exclusives are coming. BTW Darksiders 2's box art has appeared on amazons site, a remastered game I'm looking forward to: http://www.amazon.com/Darksiders-2-Definitive-Edition-PlayStation-4/dp/B00TKLFOLK Maybe Push Square can reach out to Nordic Games and ask them are there any plans of also releasing the first one?
What happens to your current character or save game of you "install" or run this version? Will it overwrite my previous data or just "upgrade" it to the current content? So far my original SOM is already up to date. It'll suck if it does then you'd have to start all over again..
To be honest I've never played any of the Metal Slug games. Looks like a cross between Contra Hardcorps and Gunstar Heroes. Mmm might pick it up for couch coop.
Nice! Runs pretty smooth to me. Combat looks almost exactly the same as in ES Skyrim. That "red glow" around an enemy, is that some sort of "auto aim" or auto lock on thingy when an enemy is around your crosshair? Or do you have to press a button to lock on? Combat looks more tailored for controllers
I'm still not sure if I should get ESO TU for PS4 or PC. Apparently there is no native controller support for the PC version, and is supposedly going to be implemented after the launch of the consoles. I watched a recent clip of gameplay footage on the Xbone and so far looks great. IMO playing a 3rd person RPG with a controller feels better and more comfortable than keyboard and mouse. Would've been nice if you guys couldv've recorded your gameplay for this article though.
@Alpha So the PS4 still doesn't support NTFS, Exfat or any other superior file system other than FAT32? Well that sucks Donkey Kong nuts, FAT32 can only copy files that aren't larger than 4GB. And the data is more susceptible to corruption if there's a power failure.. :-/
It's probably going to be the original PC port with higher res textures etc. Like Darksiders II. Hopefully with all the dlc and bells and whistles. Mmmm I have them on steam but still, playing them again on my "souped" up sexy looking black box with a dualshock 4... Ooooo the temptation!
This game is awesome! The chaingun turrets are real life savers! Game is very similar to the movie Starship Troopers mixed with some Dawn of War. The only good bug is a dead bug!
@EyeDeeNO76 "Have you used the PS2 network within the last year, does any of the PS2 games still have online play?" I used it mainly to make images of my games and copy them over the network from my PC to my PS2. Makes load times a breeze. Last game remember playing was The Thing, still have to finish it..
@ EyeDeeNO76, that's awesome. Luckily I still got my PHAT PS2, using rgb component and 40gb HDD with network adapter. She's still a beaut! Don't have space for my Famicom or Genesis though.. :-?

Re: Xbox Boss Hints That Cross-Play May Be Possible with PS4 in the Near Future
This has been mentioned before on the previous generation, and as far as I remember Microsoft said no. Sony did consider it back then.

If only this game had real time combat..
Re: The Division Is Ubisoft's Fastest Selling Game of All Time
"The Division Is Ubisoft's Fastest Selling Game of All Time" Probably on consoles, the PC launch is a joke. U-Don't-Play. Nothing new there.
Re: Capcom Knocks a Super Platinum Rank Street Fighter V Player Down to Bronze
I wonder if there's some sort of monitoring or log that can distinguish between a dropped connection and someone actually rage quitting.

Re: You Won't Be Reading Any The Division Reviews on Launch Day
If history is anything to go by, I'll give this a skip. Paying for a broken game seems to be the norm these days. Especially on PC. U-Don't-Play.
