Nioh caught our attention back in September at the Tokyo Game Show, and it's still looking pretty darn cool. An upcoming PlayStation 4 title from Team Ninja, the release got bloodied with a new trailer at the PlayStation Experience which confirms that it's coming West.
We reckon, as the headline suggests, that it bears some similarities Bloodborne in terms of combat and generally frightening enemies, but it's also got a real Onimusha vibe going on, too - and not just because it's filled with samurai and set in Japan.
How do you think it looks? Watch the rather brutal trailer and then tell us if you're keeping an eye on this one in the comments section below.

This game just moved up a few places on my most wanted list....but it does miss a bit of Itagaki. This has everything in it to become a Ninja Souls and if the weapon variety is good I'm totally up for it! After Nier and Horizon, this is the one I'm looking forward to seeing more from most.
As a big fan of Onimusha, this looks great to me.
I'd love if came as a ps2 classicOnimups2. This gives the Onimusha vibe though.
This looks awesome!
I'm very excited to hear more about the game! This one's definitely on my radar.
Mashed Bloodborne and Onimusha Together
I think that's called Genji. One of my favorite games on PS2. Not so much the PS3 sequek. But the original was awesome. It was like Onimusha mashed with DmC.
I'll stick with the Souls stuff
@Boerewors Ditto.
Only two games that caught my eye was Nioh and that 16bit looking game Death Gambit.
Definitely interested in this, glad it's gone for a Japanese setting instead of fantasy to set itself apart from the Souls games more.
