After a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, Battle Chasers: Nightwar continues to look thoroughly impressive in its newest trailer. The turn based role-playing game features some stunning artwork and some amazing animation, which is clear to see in the aforementioned video that we've embedded.
It's not all about the looks, though. The upcoming PlayStation 4 title will apparently boast a good story, tons of exploration, and an engaging battle system. And hey, it'll also have a pretty swell soundtrack judging by the music that can be heard here.
Hopefully we'll hear more about Battle Chasers in the near future, but until then, tell us if you're interested in this particular adventure in the comments section below.

Looks seriously amazing. And that last frame with the bonfire looks like a homage to the very first scene of Dragon Quest VI:
Amazing
I'll be keeping an eye out for this one! Love me some turn-based gameplay!!
Looking and sounding good! Shame there's no mention of a Vita release though...
I love turn based games so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it
Looking good
Come on, that warrior dude is basically Guts from Berserk. And that's a huge plus.
Finally the real final fantasy 11 turns up. Looks good.
Nice! I will also keep an eye on this one.
Nice TBS. Love the art style too.
Definitely has a nice "feel" to it, seems original even if using turn based battle. The enemy and hero attack animations are just flawless though, awesome art imo.
I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it.
@rjejr
Behold...
I need this game in my life looks amazing
looking good... but the Title tho...it's like randomly picked words mashed together..
Looks dope
@whywai88 Yea that title tho....Guess they wanted the full jrpg effect, with erroneously long titles that make little sense. All its missing is a couple numbers thrown in for good measure and a hash tag or three.
Really looking forward to this! Plus, it looks like all five heroes from the comic is playable in the game.
Is it digital only?
I'm not a big fan of turn based combat out side of a few games but this look's really good...
If it wasn't turn based I would be all over it, but it is so I won't.
If only this game had real time combat..
Looks great. Will certainly keep my eye out for more news on this.
@EWolf I don't mind real time combat at all, but I'll take good turn based systems over real time any day. Nothing better than strategically laying the smack down on enemies with multiple party members. Diablo is lots of fun but it's not strategically satisfying.
Of course if they could build a real time system that allowed you to control multiple characters while maintaining the same level of tactical choice and variety that turn based allows, that'd be great. The pausing system used in the likes of Baldurs Gate/Neverwinter Nights isn't too bad but I find the turn based combat in the likes of Divinity/Wasteland to be much better.
I didn't find FF Type-0's take on real time combat too bad. Transistor also had some interesting elements that made it a lot more satisfying to play than Bastion I reckon.
LOVE the comics (sadly Joe Mad just couldn't be bothered to finish the story though....) but I will still pick this up.
Hopefully he will get back to finishing the comic as well....
looks fantanstic!!! Im gonna get this day one ^^
@JaxonH I didn't bother watching the trailer yesterday, stopped at "kickstarter". I know a lot of good games come out of kickstarter, but also a lot never do.
And speaking of turn based JRPG I've been waiting for "Rainbow Skies" for 2 years, it was supposed to RELEASE in 2014. I think it's being made by the same team who are making Zelda U. So I'm not getting excited for this one.

This does look really good, and it's an interesting combination of the overworld from Torchlight, the anime of Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, and the battle system is old school; but I just can't get excited now for something that might be out in 2 years, or might not ever be out at all.
After waiting years for "Rainbow Skies" I may skip it, seems old and outdated now, will have to wait to see how I feel if and when this one finally releases.
Whoa! this looks cool! I wish they made Final Fantasy games like this now.
@BodyW-outOrgans Amen brother. Sadly, those days are long gone.
