By way of its Hero Project initiatives, Sony has confirmed another four PS5 games it's going to help publish from the Middle East and North Africa. Over the past year, Sony has been working to "identify and support original voices and empower creators from emerging regions to tell their stories through games".
The four new titles are as follows:
Red Bandits (PS5, PC) - Team Agenda from Saudi Arabia

Red Bandits is a fast-paced robbery action game set in a hyper-capitalist age where one company rules the world through complete monopoly. In this world, a newly formed thieves organization known as the Red Bandits, emerges to challenge the system and spark a rebellion. You play as Stutt, a seasoned old thief with a stuttering condition and a mysterious past he can’t fully remember.
Enci's Solution (PS5, PC) - Dark Emerald from UAE
Inspired by techno-dystopian aesthetics, Enci’s Solution is a hand-painted, 2.5D narrative platformer following the story of Ji’we, a young Aeon venturing out into the unknown in an attempt to save his dearest friend. Stumbling upon Enci, a lost encyclopedic robot who finds himself far from home, the two form an unusual bond and set out together to the surface of planet Regalia.
The Perfect Run (PS5, PC) - Lanterns Studios from Tunisia

Save the world or blow it up yourself, one loop at a time! The Perfect Run is an action-adventure RPG game where the player controls Quicksave, a time-traveling hero caught in an epic struggle between supervillain gangs, marketed superheroes, and a powerful mega corporation for the control of the city of New Rome.
A Cat's Manor (PS5, PC) - Happiest Dark Corner from Bahrain

A Cat’s Manor is an atmospheric adventure that blends puzzles, combat, crafting, and rhythm-based music challenges. Use your wits to escape the manor. Investigate your surroundings, solve puzzles, fight your way through deadly encounters, or outsmart your foes and avoid trouble.
On the newly unveiled MENA Hero Project, executive Hector Fernandez said: "We believe that great games can come from anywhere. Through the MENA Hero Project, we’re committed to unlocking the region’s creative potential, supporting locally inspired experiences with the power to captivate players around the world."

There's some interesting artwork and ideas on display here. Cool to see Sony continuing to support programmes like this.
I'm curious to see gameplay from The Perfect Run. If anyone wants to get a glimpse of A Cat's Manor, its Steam page has gameplay footage.
Its really funny that Sony is publishing Perfect Run here because the premise is straight out of InFamous XD

(that ain't a bad thing mind you, we need more InFamous games in the world if Sony is unwilling to do it themselves🔥)
Good initiative. Exciting to see what new perspectives and visions other parts of the world have to offer. I'd be all up for an African Soulslike with an banging Afrobeat soundtrack.
If there's one thing I appreciate about Sony, it's that they actively try to seek out indie games from regions all over the world, not just Japan, Europe, the U.S., etc.
Microsoft and Nintendo, in comparison, don't do remotely as much to expand to other markets. Nintendo's games all sell like hotcakes, sure, but they don't even localize or properly sell them outside of the major European, East Asian, and North American markets. Which is wild, considering Pokemon and Mario are two of the biggest media properties in existence.
Microsoft at least does a better job than Nintendo when it comes to making their games available for sale in most markets, but their advertising efforts and attempts to court developers from non-English-speaking countries are... not that great, to say the least.
Aside from that incident on Steam where Sony temporarily removed their games from sale in 100+ countries, they generally seem to take non-major markets more seriously compared to their competitors.
Wonder what the people demanding smaller games from Sony (like all of the PS4 ones that no one liked) will think about these.
@Fizza I would take a resolution boost and 60/120FPS maybe a small graphical update
@ButterySmooth30FPS A lot of them are all talk but no walk. So, i doubt they gonna buy these games.
Do these ultra-rich sheiks really need a leg up?
I'd be interested if African nations like Kenya would be favoured, but unfortunately this is completely disengaging for me.
Cool to see an adaptation of The Perfect Run book as an RPG, looking forward to seeing how well they do it.
Wish Sony would publish their own studios games, oh that's right, they not making any
It’s a bit disappointing that there aren’t even video trailers for most of these on the PS Blog. Is it that they’re really early in development? I’d really like to see what The Perfect Run looks like.
I’ll answer my own question - TPR is scheduled for 2028, so it’s got a way to go before trailers and bigger marketing efforts.
