Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 498

BusyOlf

I’ve been playing They Are Billions again to get all the maps as a save got corrupted and I recall enjoying the larger map and the one in winter. It’s the kind of game that is so challenging in a way that you have to be thinking two steps ahead of each attack. I always seem to switch off and end up watching a squad of men mowing down zombies when I should be building up the population, army, defences etc.

Other than that I will be playing Battlefield 2042 for the rest of the weekend having just finished watching Resident Evil Death Island. The new map is brilliant, a positive shot in the games arm compared to the previous maps that have been right stinkers in all honesty.

Re: US Retail Giant Best Buy Allegedly Binning Physical Media

The thought that in the future I will be potentially facing having to wait months for a new games price to drop via the PSN sales and not having the cheaper options like Amazon, ShopTo etc around sickens me. They can moan all they like about how expensive games are to make but when you take away the options for consumers to be able to shop around for cheaper purchases you’re going to face resistance from us all.

Re: Epic Games Laying Off Almost 900 Employees, Fall Guys Dev Hit Hard

Here ends the chapter where Epic bought all the exclusives for its PC store angering Steam users who had no choice but to signup to another store front. Then going after Apple for what they believe was an unfair 70/30 revenue split which ended with their most popular game no longer being on one of the biggest mobile platforms in the world. They never once criticised Microsoft or Sony for having similar revenue splits, it was only evil Apple.

Re: Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways (PS5) - Ada Wong Fronts More Sublime RE Action

BusyOlf

Best dlc I have bought in a long time. Cheap price considering how much I was expecting it would be. There was more story fleshed out about Ada and her actions during Leon’s campaign and what she did after Sadler is killed. It also pretty much confirms to me that we’re going to get RE5 as the next remake as there was quite a sizeable amount of Wesker involved.

Re: Preview: Bandai Namco Is a Publisher Quietly on the Up

All they have to do is announce Ace Combat 8 and they can have my eternal support. I want Ace Combat 8, I need to feel like I’m the greatest fighter jet pilot in the world and the only pilot who can take down a giant plane that poops out infinite number of planes to try and stop me. What’s that? The presidents dead and it’s all my fault? Fine, just get me in a MIG and let me fix all of this with my infinite number of rockets on my plane despite it only having a small number on display. Then tell me I’m great by the one co pilot who never liked me

Re: Xbox Documents Reveal Staggering Cost of Bringing Games to Game Pass, PS Plus

Still think back to that moment on the Game Awards when Spencer came out with Nintendo and Sony talking up the gaming culture and it turns out he’s plotting to buy out one of them whilst the other he hopes to strangle in to submission. This whole “good guy” Phil act he portrays has well and truly died with these leaks.

I hope this whole subscription service thing with tv, film, music, and games dies

Re: Madden NFL 24 Is Free for Everyone All Weekend on PS5, PS4

BusyOlf

So is new Madden the same Madden as last years Madden only with a few small changes that does nothing to alleviate the anger that customers have been pointing towards over the years that need fixing? I ask because I saw a Angry Joe video pop up on my YouTube and he didn’t look too pleased so I’m guessing no 😂

Not to pile on Joe, but it’s becoming a yearly thing that he goes mental over the failings of the game whilst making it known he bought the premium package when something goes wrong and gets angry that they do this to him, again. Everyone’s spinning around in a room then complaining that they feel dizzy type mentality

Re: Firewall Ultra (PSVR2) - Flawed VR Shooter Misses the Mark

BusyOlf

These doom merchants in here, man! you just couldn’t wait to jump on the whole “VR is doomed” based on one bad review of a game that probably will improve now that the justifiable criticism has been said. I just don’t understand why it bothers you if something fails and how that makes you feel better in yourself? It’s such a weird human trait to pour your attention into something that you claim to not care about, never mind try for yourself, that here you are championing your claim that you knew it would fail as if you are the new Nostradamus
