What makes the PS6 more intriguing is that Sony can focus on dedicated gaming hardware, with developers optimising specifically for it, rather than trying to bridge the gap between console and PC.
Xbox has reportedly sold around 35 million Series X|S consoles compared to roughly 95 million PS5s. That's a massive difference in install base, and I don't see an expensive next gen Xbox suddenly convincing millions of PlayStation players to jump ship. If Helix costs $1,200, $1,800, Microsoft is pricing itself into an even smaller market.
What's also ironic is everyone criticising Sony over physical media when Xbox has spent years releasing games without physical discs, often without making it particularly obvious, and is now pushing the disc to digital conversation further. Microsoft has hardly been the champion of physical gaming people pretend it is.
I'd rather see Sony deliver a well optimised gaming console at a sensible price than Microsoft turn Xbox into an expensive PC hybrid and expect people to follow.
Whether your interested or not. You have to give the respect it deserve theyve poured a ungodly amount of money into a game in which is a single player. It deserves it just for that.

Its a great throw back and the game itself is a solid 8/10

But you had average people.being stopped coming off the subway and they had a warrant out for murder and it was Betty from church. Then you had people in gang clothing and they were sp innocent then went to church.

@AdamNovice I mean the bike sequence is pretty bad. You shouldn't be able to complete it without actually touching the controller. In 2026 we shouldn't have games on rails anymore unless its a shooting gallery type game.

Its the microsoft way. Find something original with its developers, steal said work by paying them off and then get another studio to just rehash the same thing ovdr and over. Halo died the moment bungie, its creators said they have done enough.

Wolverine is a great game. Reviews these days go off whether a gsme change the mold or not and doesnt go off if the game fits the content source.
I mean the issue is insomanic make a certain game style and theyve played it safe. They really needed to up their game story wise. That was the issue with spiderman 2. They rushed the final.3rd.

The program literally called physical to digital.
It means that using each discs unique id tag, which they all have because thats how the xbox knows you have the game but at the moment you have to keep the disc in.
Its going to allow you to put the disc in logs you in with your id, downloads the game digitally and then you can play it without the disc. Making it digital.
But as soon as you sell it and it goes into someone else's system it will make your version stop working. Unless you pay for it digitally.
So from what I gather 2 things are going to happen and gamers are just not that savvy.
1. They go all out digital next gen and its all about now getting your games loaded up aslong as you dont sell them. Or 2. Every single disc for xbox will be blank apart from the id lock and a link to the digital copy, giving the illusion pf physical media and yet it isn't.
Its funny, this is exactly what the xbox one was going to do way back when that went down loke a led balloon this is them just bringing that same tech back now.
Pc is the same anyway, thats all digital. Might aswel do what you want.
I have a pc but for tycoon games. The prices for building a top end pc are so high.

And its to do with money and how its structured and push square should know this.
Basically when you release a game to put it on disc it costs quite alot of money upfront, due to the rating system or something along those lines.
But strangely if you wait a period of time after release, that cost comes down dramatically.
I believe Colin from sacred symbols explained this in detail about his own games. That its cheaper and cost effective to release the game on digital first and then release physical later, after a certain amount of time.
I think it came down to it has to be out for a period of time and then you can just print what you like. Basically

Did a far better job at a sentinel battle than this lazy unoriginal boss battle in this wolverine game. Using a stale tried and tasted concept of fighting 1 half way up its body. Its a legit criticism I think.
Also the regeneration of it fixing the suit aswel, as its been pointed out this has been fixed before hand with the batman games.
And the red mist section apparently only 1 chase in the game with that but surely that would be a feature,

Im going to enjoy the game for what it is.

If Yotei came first and tsushima, was the sequel do you think, you'd feel the same way?
I truly loved both games equally. Same type of story but from 2 different starting points.
The issue with Tsushima was how repetitive it was.
The issue with Yotei was it was just more of the same, which in a way is exactly what you want from a sequel.
Giving you the same experience but with tighter controls and a new adventure.
I really think it comes down to. Tsushima came out and was fresh and new and different. Yotei came out and that sense had already been taken the first time around.
Its like God Of War 2018 was a breath of fresh air. Ragnorak not so much and I got bored and its the reason i am not even remotely interested in the new game.
Same with Horizon. I enjoyed both but the second game was just more of the same and bigger and it bored me.
Honestly I enjoyed Yotei alot more than both Forbidden West and Ragnorak. Both the first games blew me away.
I think Yotei story and gameplay together out did both of those other games, Ragnorak was such a drag to finish
Forbidden West felt so huge and boring, I actually put the game on easy just to finish the story.
On that note Days Gone deserved a sequel.
That game you could see the potential and it just needed another run to push it. Such a shame.
Esp when you think all Santa Monica has ever put out really are God Of War titles for more than 30 years.

Strangely worked for years before without me knowing it some how was linked.

Nope money has been real tight.
Lost my job took months for a new job and its a part time job.
Decided im going to buy 1 game this year and I've played completed every single GTA game at launch that includes the original games.
So I'm there day one.
I will get wolverine maybe at christmas for myself and I may look into dawnwalker.
But I enjoy the games on extra so im quite happy if I have GTA6 for the next year.

I truly 110% agree with him.
Ive actually gone off triple A gaming. Like nothing apart from the graphics amazes me.
Thats not just sony games but every triple a title.
I mean Wolverine, yea good game but my god ive watched the motorcycle part be completed without touching the controller.
And the whole mission set ups are so bland in many a games and then the missions themselves have become so stale and samey.
So i now only really get excited for a very slim selection of triple a games.
The last 1 was 007.
The next is GTA6
I want to pick up wolverine but that can wait. Nothing else really excites me

@Bizzy subscription model will never replace buying the game.
Until the end we will always be able to buy the game individually. That will never go away. How we buy may change or differ.
But a subscription only really benefits the company whos subscription platform it is.

2. No you cant just lend the game, it will lock you out of the game until you get it back.
3. Its still an all digital future apart from the key for the lock is on a disc.

I could never get into it when it first released.
Then i read the books and watched the series and really enjoyed which forced me to try and play again.
I got further but the combat and how old the game was, I just couldn't.
But if the combat has been re done and graphics have become better. I think this maybe the time to try again.
I just can't remember if I got a digital version of the game or not on ps5, or was I using the os4 disc version I have

Playstation literally telling you well in advance that their games are just not selling physically anymore and by 2028 they will just stop because it ain't cost effective. They arent the ones whos killed physical. The consumer is.

Its because the supply and demand arent there and they have to cater for so many combinations and low to high settings they have to sell it cheaper to get the sales.
You know why physical games are now being sold at a discount price even at launch? Its because supply and demand aren't there anymore so they need to sell them at a more discounted price.
You know the reason why digital games on ps5 and xbox are thr highest. Because supply and demand are there, people are buying them even at that price and even knowing thay thr lhysical game is cheaper and yet the consumer is buying anyway.
You see while everyone is moaning about thr prices and being a monopoly and its all because they are greedy and that sony are monsters saying the end of physical
The reality is so far the other way, that consumers just dont care.
Consumers have had the option to
buy physical cheaper
build a pc and buy games cheaper
get a console and pay a premium for a digital game.
Guess what? After all these years of these options, yes the consumer has decided over everything else convenience of just buying the digital version outweighs the discount prices of physical and pc pricing.
Businesses aren't really about anti consumer, they just follow the trend.

@Boxmonkey not really. There is a very simple answer to all of this.
And its to do with money and how its structured and push square should know this.
Basically when you release a game to put it on disc it costs quite alot of money upfront, due to the rating system or something along those lines.
But strangely if you wait a period of time after release, that cost comes down dramatically.
I believe Colin from sacred symbols explained this in detail about his own games. That its cheaper and cost effective to release the game on digital first and then release physical later, after a certain amount of time.
I think it came down to it has to be out for a period of time and then you can just print what you like. Basically

And the red mist section apparently only 1 chase in the game with that but surely that would be a feature,

Im going to enjoy the game for what it is.

@ShadowRJ every argument i aee about pbysical is yhe whole i own it so I can do what I want with it. Then it always comes down to pre owned games.
The fact is minority of people are buying new physical games and the ones that are, are playing them and then selling them for then to the majority who own physical are buying pre owned.
Unfortunately digital is now the majority of new sales.
Physical 1 person can buy the game new, but several can buy and sell the same game.

I'll enjoy the game and take it for what its worth, but I'm with some of this negativity, games in general are becoming a little stale and unoriginal.

The real question you should ask yourself is.
If Yotei came first and tsushima, was the sequel do you think, you'd feel the same way?
I truly loved both games equally. Same type of story but from 2 different starting points.
The issue with Tsushima was how repetitive it was.
The issue with Yotei was it was just more of the same, which in a way is exactly what you want from a sequel.
Giving you the same experience but with tighter controls and a new adventure.
I really think it comes down to. Tsushima came out and was fresh and new and different. Yotei came out and that sense had already been taken the first time around.
Its like God Of War 2018 was a breath of fresh air. Ragnorak not so much and I got bored and its the reason i am not even remotely interested in the new game.
Same with Horizon. I enjoyed both but the second game was just more of the same and bigger and it bored me.
Honestly I enjoyed Yotei alot more than both Forbidden West and Ragnorak. Both the first games blew me away.
I think Yotei story and gameplay together out did both of those other games, Ragnorak was such a drag to finish
Forbidden West felt so huge and boring, I actually put the game on easy just to finish the story.
On that note Days Gone deserved a sequel.
That game you could see the potential and it just needed another run to push it. Such a shame.
Esp when you think all Santa Monica has ever put out really are God Of War titles for more than 30 years.

Thats great and all but EA done me dirty and somehow linked my new psn account with an old EA account and now cannot access it to play online. I have 0 access to that email address at all. And it wont let me set a new email address. Been stuck for a few years now.
Strangely worked for years before without me knowing it some how was linked.
Even though in 2017, I did a total refresh of my psn and accounts.
