Re: This Year's EA Sports FC Is Definitely Different, and I'm Eager to See How It's Received

Bez87

Thats great and all but EA done me dirty and somehow linked my new psn account with an old EA account and now cannot access it to play online. I have 0 access to that email address at all. And it wont let me set a new email address. Been stuck for a few years now.

Strangely worked for years before without me knowing it some how was linked.

Even though in 2017, I did a total refresh of my psn and accounts.

Re: Could Xbox Get Its Revenge on PS6 by Supporting Physical Games?

Bez87

Playstation said they will be stopping producing physical games.

They never said they wouldn't have a disc drive.

It must be a slow time for gaming news.

Xbox have been all in on digital since xbox one. Whether they lost or not it didnt stop them.

Their sole focus has been GamesPass and even now they haven't stopped it. Maybe reduced it a little by not putting call of duty on it,

Their next console. Will be a pc console hybrid plug and play.

They'll use a windows version they used for their handheld and introduce a all platform console.

They'll just bank on people buying into their economy system.

But it maybe their last console and this is their last ditched attempt.

They may pull all xbox games off of steam and just make you buy it from their shop.

I think both will offer a disc drive. But I dont think it will be mandatory.

Re: Amidst Sony's Disc Debacle, Capcom Sales Data Is a Brutal Reality Check for Fans of Physical Media

Bez87

@CutchuSlow well its not really irrelevant. Because for a company to carry on producing physical disc games the numbers have to add up.

And if a company is selling to every platform and digital is overwhelming beating physical to the point its not cost effective to produce physical games.

Then they ain't going to produce physical games. Whether it applies to you or not, thats irrelevant.

Because the company in question is catering for all. And i gave you the numbers exactly for judt console and they aint good and thats actually being generous on my part giving physical, a bigger number than it probably is
Due to focusing on 1 game and not spreading it out over all games.

Re: Amidst Sony's Disc Debacle, Capcom Sales Data Is a Brutal Reality Check for Fans of Physical Media

Bez87

@CutchuSlow i've just commented to someone else.

A percentage does nothing. It tells you absolutely nothing of the actual sale of a game.

All you are doing is changing what you are giving percentages to.

Whether PC is involved or not. That doesnt change the actual sales number you've just changed the percentage out look.

60% is pc, 40% console for their entire sales.
If you take pc out, your not changing any actual sale data. Your just making the console the entire focus. Making console 100%.

Which of course then makes physical look like its sold more because the percentage is higher. That doesn't then make the actual number of people who bought physical higher. Just the percentage.

Take RE9 it sold say 7million worldwide.

Lets take 60% of that out because thats PC.
So console sales at 100% is 3.1m.
Digital sales are 83%
Selling 2.6m digitally
Physically for the entire world 16%
Only selling 500k copies.

Then you have to think thats the entire world, only 500k copies shipped to each and every country which sells physical games, then after all the shipping and over printing, how many copies are left in some warehouse because only 2k bought the game in this country or that country, and youve spent alot of money printing the box art with all the different translations and ratings on the box for each individual country.

People are forgetting all of this. It isn't just print a disc be done.

Each country, each different language, means individual box art. Meaning it is a huge cost for not much return anymore.

Re: Amidst Sony's Disc Debacle, Capcom Sales Data Is a Brutal Reality Check for Fans of Physical Media

Bez87

@Silenos Please just stop it. Its getting desperate.

Heavily skewed because of PC?

No it isn't. Whether PC is involved or not these numbers are for its entire sales.

All you are doing is changing percentages around by subtracting out a source of income for capcom.

Which of course will make the percentage bigger, you've taken out an aspect of their sales.

That doesnt do anything because a percentage means absolutely nothing when it comes to sales. You've just made the percentage bigger but at the same time you've made the who bought it number smaller.

Do the math. 7m people bought RE9
60% PC thats 4.8m people buying it dogital for PC.
Console 3.1m people bought the game.
Out of the 3.1m people.
only 536 000 bought the game physically.
Thats mean digitally on console more than 2m bought it.

This is just using the percentage on 1 game, but the actual figures are across their entire catalog.

Which means the physical number maybe higher but its spread out over a large number of games, which could in bring the total of physical purchases down game by game.

That figure is for the entire world. Which then translates into why even bother if x amount of copies dont ever get sold and we've over printed and then it comes to the point of at what point is it not cost effective or profitable to even print a game disc?

PC doesnt effect anything the actual sale numbers are still tiny, whether you want to take out the pc percentage or not

Re: Amidst Sony's Disc Debacle, Capcom Sales Data Is a Brutal Reality Check for Fans of Physical Media

Bez87

@CutchuSlow thats not how percentage works.

If 93% of their entire sales are digital which includes pc and console. That still makes the physical 6.3%

Stop trying to make it fit for your own peace of mind.

Or the people who keep saying the numbers skewed.

Its purely just denial. Companies selling these games are not evil entities, its business. If the demand was there for physical games and the data did not show that year on year digital was the majority.

Then all these companies would not be thinking of giving up the physical games business. But this is just another data point coming from these companies showing how much of a minority physical game owners are now.

Re: Amidst Sony's Disc Debacle, Capcom Sales Data Is a Brutal Reality Check for Fans of Physical Media

Bez87

@JPEGMakima its not about being lazy, sometimes its about convenience and storage or not having the space or having children.
For example myself, have been a avid collector, I still have my ps1,ps2,ps3,ps4 collection of games, I probably still have my super nintendo games somewhere at my parents.

But as I've had a family with kids and some are caring of stuff and others are not so much, the handling of discs is a scary thing and I have lost games because of it.
Also my kids are avid gamers, I can family share on ps5 and so I made the decision to go all digital, means my library, readily available for them to play on their console. We can also play the same game at the same time and play multiplayer on that same game without having to buy 2 discs.

Like me and my son at the moment are playing through grounded. Because I pay for ps plus, they get the games.

He can play grounded at the exact same time as me and the online also works for us to play together. If I had the disc version this would not be possible.

Also your statement about vhs to dvd but then forget to mention the fact 99% of people now consume all films and series digitally. I bet majority on here mostly watch netflix, prime and other streaming services than buying the blu ray.

Also games have gone through alot of physical.

Cassette tapes, Floppy disc, cartridge, Cd, Dvd, blu ray and now its gone digital. Same exact pattern.

Re: Amidst Sony's Disc Debacle, Capcom Sales Data Is a Brutal Reality Check for Fans of Physical Media

Bez87

You'll keep using the old line, o older game sales are probably pushing that figure.

Like that even matters.

Unfortunately this is probably the exact same numbers for the majority of publishers now.

Vocal minority, shouting from the roof tops about physical games. Which I understand and wish it wasn't true.

But digital is the future.

Just like vhs was once the main source of movies. Then dvd, then blu ray, then 4k blu ray but let's be honest the vast majority of us are digesting our movies and tv series through digital means.

Its no different for games, the convenience of just pressing a button and instantly playing out ways the getting up grabbing a box, taking physical disc out and putting it into the console each and every time you want to change a game.

And the people who keep saying the skewed statistics, your just lying to yourself to make it fit.

These statistics are nit of the money these are of game sales. Stop trying to make it fit so it feels better

Re: GTA 6 Region Locks Raise More Questions About PSN's Flaky Infrastructure

Bez87

@jaquay2003 Wrong.
Xbox claim this and you fall for it.

Xbox is actually a little sneaky with the numbers. If you dig a little deeper into Xbox on their official website which claim to cater for sooooo many countries.

Majority of them do not support xbox consoles. Its literally PC game pass or pc games.

So no Xbox do not operate in more countries than PSN. They have fluffed the numbers to include PC Game Pass and not the xbox console eco system.

Re: Fable PS5 Has Run 'Uncomfortably Beyond Budget', Sources Claim

Bez87

I jist have a feeling that Lauffey just isn't going to cut it, loke God Of War did.

Im actually all God Of war'd out im just not that interested. 2018 was great and fresh. Ragnorak was good but the same and a very strangely paced game.

Its just made me tired of the game series for now.

Fable on the other hand is a game series which was very unique in its time and it looks to me like theyve truly understood the objective of a fable game. Im all in on this.

Re: GTA 6 Region Locks Raise More Questions About PSN's Flaky Infrastructure

Bez87

@get2sammyb but Sammy! Your forgetting 1 huge difference.

Xbox arent in majority of the world.

PSN officially caters to 73 countries
Xbox just a mere 43.

So can it be possible that it may be exactly the same or worse for xbox but they just ain't in as many countries.

We always think xbox microsoft power house and on par with playstation but they really aren't.

Re: GTA 6 Region Locks Raise More Questions About PSN's Flaky Infrastructure

Bez87

How is this an issue?

Surely everything to an extent is region locked.

You just said it yourself, you have to literally create a whole new psn and pretend your in another country to get certain games. Making those games basically region locked.

The reality is do we know if you buy a digital code on a piece of paper from another country and used that, it would work?

And what exactly does the physical release have to do with region lock?

And of course you cant mess around with psn and steam at the same time. Thats basically on tlyou for that.

Re: 'It's Setting Up for Something So Amazing': Sony Confirms New God of War Starring Kratos

Bez87

@MasterVGuides I think you was trying to say they arent milking God Of War then talk about the years between.

But Horizon some how with judt runours we're milking it when that was a brand new IP from a studio who made an entirely different genre.
Horizon 1 and 2 with 2 dlc. A logo game for kids and a or game.

Santa Monica all theyve done is make and milk God Of War. Theyve never made anything else as their main project.

Yes amazing return to form after so long with God Of War 2018, a continuation type sequel which was above average but rushed and badly paced, but actually capped the story off pretty well for now. But instead, of giving it a nice break and give us a fresh new idea, like many of the first party teams have done in recent years.

we are getting another game which serves from those 2 games and then that game goes into another God of War game and then on top of that we are getting a tv series. Inbetween we got a strange take on how Kratos started his journey in life

So since the creation of Santa Monica back in the Ps1 days, their only real game has been God of war. That is milking a franchise

Re: PSN Down for 4+ Hours, Sony 'Working to Resolve Issues'

Bez87

@Foxhound majority of modern games now want you to connect to the internet, whether its a disc drive or not.

Im not saying every game.

But there are a hell of alot .

Also even with steam, if you lose internet connection.
You cant play any game, you have to connect once and put it into offline mode and you get 2 weeks before you have to re login

Re: PSN Down and Sputtering After Amazon Web Services Outage

Bez87

Still nothing. Can't play anything right now.

But people saying o this is the sign for the all digital future.

Even discs will do this if it needs a internet connection and guess what? 99% of games now ask for you to be connected to the internet. This is just a modern gaming issue not a digital future.

Re: Sales Data Paints a Very Grim Picture for Physical PS5 Games in the USA, UK

Bez87

@MrMeeeseeeks no it isn't. The ones who want to make you think that, will use that example.

But you dont even need data. Just take a walk down your high street, go look in your supermarkets.

Thats evidence enough.

My local independent game shop, still going but only survives from retro gaming sales, hardly sells new releases anymore, they used to have 2 shops.

Game, biggest retailer in England, reduced to a few shelves in sports direct, this is a direct result of physical games sales, not because Game some how sabbataged themselves like people would like you to believe.

In top of that at the height I knew of 2 other Game stores which were national, borh gone.

Im pretty sure tesco doesnt even have a gamr section anymore.

My local asda as a tiny few shelves.

Games are getting bigger than the disc they are printed on, do you risk over spending to put it on 2 discs with minimal returns, or put the key on the disc and then download, defeating the object of physical.

Its literally just business 101. If only a fraction are buying physical and its spread around the entire world, is it even worth producing?

Forget physical vs digital and the whole preserve the games.

If you only have a few 1000s buying the game, its not worth the cost of printing a disc. Your actually now losing money on physical media.

Re: 'It Isn't Something Carved in Stone': Xbox Still Unclear on Future PS5 Ports

Bez87

The issue i still have and they have. Which they are blind to see.

Is exclusives didnt help them before, what exactly do they think is going to happen?

Unfortunately their exclusive offerings today are just not system sellers anymore.

Halo, hasn't really been good since 2 or 3.

Gears of War same thing.

Xbox have sold off some of the more promising exclusives they could of had and are left with the average at best old franchises.

And honestly 3rd party games are killing it, xbox have already lost its clientele and realistically they lost it because of themselves, with gamepass.

Taking back some exclusives and not others and maybe not entirely exclusive.

Its not going to change, why people left Xbox.

The entire reason xbox games came to playstation was because they had lost clients, not because they didnt have the exclusives.

And I think if they end up making elder scrolls exclusive, I honestly think that will backfire.

Just like they did with Tomb Raider sequel.

I think this is just the mid way stage of total failure and shutting up shop.

Re: AC Black Flag: Resynced Keeps on Selling, Now at 3 Million Units

Bez87

@MrPeanutbutterz skull and bones was made by a different development team and took the ship battle element and actually made it worse.

I thought AC1 was a chore, I was bored with AC2 and dragged myself through it.
Never bothered with AC3.
I only bothered with Black Flag because I have an interest in pirate lore and it was a launch game for PS4. It held my interest, for me to complete the game and enjoy it, but I honestly believe the worst parts of the game are the actual AC parts of it.

The next lot of AC games were rinsed and repeat or so dam long i couldnt be bothered.

Made me think, the team did a really good job with black flag they should of ditched the whole AC gimmick and stuck with the subject matter instead. I feel like they are really good at world building but the actual let down of the game is the assassin part.

Re: Don't Worry, You'll Get to Own God of War Laufey on a PS5 Disc

Bez87

@twitchtvpat what are you taking about?
You just said it yourself. Sony has already gotten the cut for physical.

So they have already got their 30%.

Physical and digital its all the same.

Whether its a cut at purchase or its a cut at wholesalers.

What going digital does in theory, is cuts out the waste.

Think about it this way, a large amount of discs and boxes have to be produced.

They estimate 100 000
They print 100 000
They then tell the wholesalers the amount. The wholesalers then tell the companies and then they put the orders in.
The discs have already been printed without a single purchase.

Then the figures come in.
The entire lot only want 10 000.

They are then left with 90 000, which maybe they'll sell slowly trickle down. Maybe they wont.

Sony and the majority of the gaming industry have the data and the data shows right now digital is out selling physical by quite a big margin. Give it another 2 years and that will be even greater.

Meaning the risk of printing millions of copies and only selling 1000s isnt cost effective anymore.

Whether you want to tell a round about story or not. The outcome is the same.

Us the consumer have moved the industry into this situation and this is the outcome.

Its like the whole debate of saving the high street.

You cant save the high street without stopping online retailers and their crazy deals.

Example I bought a bike from one of the big names. I found it online. But at the time I only had cash. So I rushed to the store.

Online offered me free build, next day pick up, a helmet and 100 off.

Instore it was full price helmet, 100 more on the bike. 15 for building it and they couldnt get it done until 3 days later.

That was their own store but their online out did them.

There is no hope.

Re: Don't Worry, You'll Get to Own God of War Laufey on a PS5 Disc

Bez87

@LikelySatan you best drink it then.
Remind folk of what?

An open source platform which has multiple store fronts?

Which you have miss identified why these places have sales?

If every console had other storefronts then it would be an open source product.

Which it isnt.

You go to a shop or you go online and you choose which system you want.

You either want a Nintendo store front, a microsoft store front or a playstation store front.

Even when you go into a brick and mortar store and your fighting yourself which store you want to go to and theb choose a playstation game, Sony are getting a cut of that game.

And now look at the landscape of physical games.

Nothing has actually stopped and yet apart from 1 place I know of properly. I couldn't give you a list of rivals for you to go fight over to get your disc copy. Because they dont really exist anymore and that is not down to corporate greed. Thats down to consumer habits.

Its all good and well trying to be a smarty pants and claim you drink bleach, good for you. But your wrong

Re: Don't Worry, You'll Get to Own God of War Laufey on a PS5 Disc

Bez87

@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy Not really, im close to 50. But I am a realist and watch the market.

The data speaks for itself.

You cant use the argument of a closed market. Its all a closed market if you buy a playstation console.

Pc is and has always been an open source piece of equipment, meaning you can have multiple store fronts, but the reality is majority are buying on steam, which is basically a closed system.

Think of nintendo. Microsoft and playstation as the storefronts, that will help.

Your not forced to buy playstation just like you ain't forced to get your games from steam.

You can always simplify it all by shouting bad mutli billion company.

But thats just not the truth.

The data shows the vast majority of players are now buying digital. By 2028 the number will of grown so much, its not cost effective to produce physical. That is just the reality we are in.

Whether we are happy or want to cry about it. That is your choice, but that is the reality.

You can just look at the sales of physical by looking at the amount of game stores or game shelves within stores, its dying and thats not corporate greed that just consumer habit.

Corporate are just happy about it because its business.

Edit; you talk about a closed market, but whether you buy a ps5 game on a disc or you buy it on digital, playstation still gets a percentage, its on their console.
You dont have competition either way, they sell the physical games at a set whole sale price, they sell it to different vendors.

They then sell it new at the exactly the same price pretty much.

The only time this changes is on sales or its an older game.

So reality is, there has never been compeition, playstation gets the percentage either way.

The only competition and issue is when it comes to the secondhand market and then thats already out of playstations control and playstation do not benefit from those sales and neither do the development teams who make them.

Re: Don't Worry, You'll Get to Own God of War Laufey on a PS5 Disc

Bez87

@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy A very silly thing to do?

The data speaks for itself, digital sales outweigh physical now by quite a big margin.

The high street and the we sell everything store are all mostly non existent of a game shop or game aisle.

This isnt a corporate greed thing either, this is just the way the consumer has gone and now its the minority who buy on disc.

Games just cant fit on discs now properly, and we've seen many discs just be download access keys. This 2 isnt just greed as if it was they just wouldnt of bothered with the disc at all.

Ive been a buying digital ever since PC basically went all digital. Are games cheaper? Well yes and no. The triple A gzmes we all play on our consoles are all priced around the same on PC.

The cheaper games people talk about are the made for pc games, or lower budget games.

Unfortunately for you, playstation arent the ones forcing this hand, they are just the ones strong enough to admit, the consumer have spoken and physical games have become non profitable.

The data must show that the trend od digital is continuing and by 2028 the production of physical cost to consumer buying ratio must be so out its not worth it.

Am I sad to see physical media go?

Yes but do i even purchase physical anymore? No.

Re: Reaction: PlayStation's Reputation Is at Rock Bottom - Where Do We Go from Here?

Bez87

And.... ps5 will keep on selling.

Unfortunately this is just the way of the times and its not even a business or greed push. Its a consumer judt buying majority digital anyway and make 0 sense to have cost of making a disc and a box.

It aint really for money, its just business.

They make money either way so in reality it must cost them alot to produce the discs and isnt worth it anymore.

Re: Xbox Wants to Cancel Marvel's Blade, Close Arkane Studios

Bez87

@Stickleman wrong.

They have and the rest of the market follows.

Playstation a very slim piece of the gaming market. They are individual studios in which have made blunders or miss managed.

Microsoft on the other hand bought literal publishers with developerment teams and companies within.

And now microsoft need to make the many back and are now laying off staff from companies in which would of probably done fine before hand.

Im sorry but when 1 entity starts buying entire publishers and parent companies just for 1 or 2 of its assets and then lays off the rest then yes I can say that.

Re: Xbox Wants to Cancel Marvel's Blade, Close Arkane Studios

Bez87

@devil76 Good its about time.

Microsoft went all out greed and power.

They bought up literally huge publishers not just developers just to control market share and developers to gain advantage within gaming.

They went through a huge legal battle over buying call of duty, publisher.

They really should be taken back to court anf fined a huge penalty for what they have done.

You cant claim its good for everyone that they buy a huge huge publisher for only a year or 2 later they start doing massive lay offs. They should pay the price. They have single handily destroyed the gaming industry.

Re: Talking Point: Is GTA 6's Dodgy Ultimate Edition a Deal-Breaker?

Bez87

I dont mind it at all. Actually I love it.

Its normal games now come with pre order bonuses, or editions and just cosmetics and slight story missions or pay an extra 30 or 40 just to have early access for 2 days before.

At least GTA6 is giving me a big reason to buy the ultimate edition and honestly I just dont get the uproar.

In the uk its normal price, so no they arent setting a new standard because here nothing has changed.

For a pre order and a ultimate edition they are giving me exactly what I want from a edition.

What they are actually doing is making you feel like, youve really have bought a different version or your part of a club. The whole point of a ultimate edition.

Cosmetics and cars which 99% of people won't even bother with.

But then again 99% are going to buy the ultimate edition.

And just to point out the classic car missions are still in the game. Its just the ultimate edition will add 4 more.

Re: PS5 Costs Too Much, But These New Xbox Price Increases Are Just Absurd

Bez87

@gomersoul thats all good, but factor in the fact that right now, Xbox is struggling to even sell a fre 1000 consoles a week.

Upping the cost is going to completely destroy any sales of this console.

You dont up the cost of a dying console and hope for the best.

At this point they may aswel just discontinue the xbox entirely and hope to push on with their new pc.

And yet strangely still making a steam machine look awful for its price.

Basically selling you a series S performance spec console for over a grand.

At that point you jusy wouldn't bother

Re: Where to Pre-Order GTA 6 on PS5

Bez87

Is it just me or is the UK price just normal.

Majority of games on the store are 69.99.

Ultimate 89.99.

Normal price for a game and a deluxe edition, normally more. Im sure fc26 launches at 69.99

Re: Valve's New Steam Machine Costs Almost Twice as Much as a PS5

Bez87

@kmtrain83 at that price? You may aswell keep your mouse and keyboard and build your own pc.

You can get ps5 pro or better for the same price give a couple of hundred. But the price does jot match performance.

Ps5 pro with a controller with 2tb.
Is cheaper than a steam machine with 512gb with no controller.

I think if anyone is intrigued by this at that price, then you have way to kuch money to burn you may aswel build a gaming rig

Re: Valve's New Steam Machine Costs Almost Twice as Much as a PS5

Bez87

I honestly thought this was it.

A console hybrid with steam at a good price.

But again steam missing the entire mark again.

Nobody really wants a tiny compact pc if its going to cost as much as a better gaming pc.
When I can get a 2tb ps5 pro for the same price then why even bother.

Yes you get the steam library per say but the majority of games pc are famous for are less demanding games. It just defeats the object.

You ain't playing triple a titles in 4k 60fps.

So then it just becomes obsolete and who is this actually for?

I felt like a system which is base ps5 level power in a small form factor, where im having to buy the mouse and keyboard and now it seems the controller on top aswel. The price is the killer for what you get.

Ps. I actually just checked the price, its 512gb and if you want the controller its a grand. I DONT THINK WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THAT PRICE.

I think steam have totally misread the room again. I truly thought they had it this time.

Re: Rumour: GTA 6 Price Potentially Leaked by European Retailer

Bez87

Honestly they should set the standard and sell it at 59.99

They know, we know, that millions are going to buy anyway and millions are going to stick around for online.

I truly think though, it will just be normal price.

Middle finger to the cra*py Mario kart selling for that crazy price.

But who knows

Re: 'There's No Ambiguity in Sony's Strategy': Trusted Journalist on PS5's Exclusivity Approach After Wishy-Washy CEO Statement

Bez87

Is it cagey? Or have we just become a bunch of entitled spoilt brats who think we should know every little detail, when really it doesnt include the consumer.

Its like we have lost all common sense and need them to spell it out and if they dont they are bad.

End of the day, playstations commitment to pc was always inconsistent, a select few games we're put on pc, and they we're a odd bunch to say the least.

Also if we are within the playstation eco system, then what does it matter to us.

Its not like they waited a year or 2 and was consistently putting out their exclusives onto pc.

I think people need to start using their own brain and reading between the lines like we used to.

I think this is a more, single player games are staying on playstation as the inconsistent release on pc just ain't making any money and they may release live service across all platforms.

Which would make sense.

Re: Halo PS5 Poised to Sell Extremely Well, Topping PS Store Charts Around the World

Bez87

I just wonder how much this is just the novelty of having a halo game on playstation.

Also it will sell more on playstation just for the dheer fact of the number of people who own a playstation.

Compared to the number of xbox owners who dont just subscribe to gamepass.

We have a slight data point with the leaked emails of how bad it actually is.

Halo will probably sell more on playstation than on xbox due to gamepass

Re: 8 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games Announced for June 2026

Bez87

@Almost_Ghostly considering the main draw for premium was the classic collection in which each month we get 1 game and majority have been meh at best.

Then to add to that, if I want to try a demo, ive got to pay for it and not every game even has a trial for it.

Then even though im on the ps5 where I can just download the game to the ps5 and then stream it to my portal, they are keeping streaming pay hind a pay wall.

So no its jot moving the goal posts.

Its saying that extra is value for money.

Premium is not worth the extra squeeze for what they are offering.

So yes less value.

Doesn't matter what it offers, and quantity premium offers, if whats on offer isnt worth it.

Re: 8 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games Announced for June 2026

Bez87

@Almost_Ghostly game trials? You mean demos, for a price.

Streaming? Dependant on how good your internet is and I'd rather download my games. Your on your ps5, the only value that had is if you have a portal. But then you may aswel download the game and play it off the ps5 on your portal.

Classic catalog? Majority aren't even the classics and 1 a month?

Extra gives 400 games right off the bat with 4 or 5 added every month with a few going off.

Premium really doesnt give any meaningful extra value

Re: Xbox Revives State of Decay 3 for PS5 in 2027

Bez87

@darylb24 it really isn't and that is why, xbox decided to do the unthinkable and start selling their exclusive games on a rival platform.

40m split between a inferior console the series s and superior the series x. Then on top of that splitting it again with pc. Then on top of that the amount of the 40m who pay for game pass and dont bother buying.

Then think about the money they have spent by buying all those teams they didnt go for individual teams, they went and bought out the entire publishers of those teams.

Then think about playstation selling the same powered console to 100m people.
Their exclusive games still only sell 10 to 15m copies and thats the top end of sales.

By back peddling, xbox, now only has 40m people to actually sell to, in which a majority of them only play games on game pass, and then you'll have the ones who arent interested in that particular game.

Your looking at maybe a million sales to 5m sales.

Then take into account the call of duty mess, more outright sales on ps5 and the vast majority on xbox playing the game on gamepass.

You take out playstation and the reality is Xbox has created its own rivals who are beating it, with game pass and pc.

Yes xbox making the money due to game sales but that is showing is there even a need to lose money on making a console.

They are now keeping gears of war, so they are now relying on the 40m to buy it, when they offer game pass and on pc.

Missing out on potentially 100m players to buy it.

@XenonKnight Yes and with xbox to the general consumer, already being an absolute sh** show.

The only people buying it, will be the xbox fans rigbt now and the few who love buying new tech.

General consumers will keep buying playstation.

Xbox Just doesnt offer anyone a reason to buy one, their own games are already put on game pass and pc.

The problem xbox has was when phil took over and promised all this stuff and then never delivered until very late into the series x life cycle, the people had already moved on.

@PSbox and your the minority.
Its alot to say when playstation has sold over 100m units and xbox series s and x combined have maybe done just over 40m by now.

You have to look at it, in the facts.

360 did amazing, but the ps3 by the end out sold it.
Xbox one completely destroyed trust. Phil came in to try and save it making the xbox one x, it did ok.

Xbox series s and x came with the promise of exclusives and a renewed push, it still didnt help.

The problem is Xbox isnt even competing with playstation, they are competing with themselves with pc releases day and date and game pass. 2 issues they created.

Pulling back exclusives now but keeping some is confusing for many and wont help them.

Project helix may do wonders but if the price ain't right and playstation come up with the simple plug and play 1 console at a reasonable price. Then it wont matter what helix does.

I just dont think they are reading the room or understanding what consumers actually want and I believe its to little to late for them as a main console for all.

Re: Xbox Revives State of Decay 3 for PS5 in 2027

@Toot1st well that isnt the case though.

Gears of war has a pa5 port ready to go and has been rated. They then decided to not do it.

So deals in place mean nothing.

This just shows they have 0 idea of how to go about it.

Xbox died with exclusives in place.

Xbox had to put games on PlayStation to stay afloat.

Changing this back will not change a thing. Theyve just shot themselves in the foot because now they are trying to sell a game on. Platform who has only 40m units sold and then jt has to compete with its own game pass and pc audience.

Microsoft will make money but xbox division for a console will not

Re: 'These Are Not Timed Exclusives': Xbox Says Gears of War, Clockwork Revolution Are Never Coming to PS5

Bez87

So they announce games to come to playstation and games not coming to playstation and expect that this will some how bring back people to Xbox?

Do they not know that the ship was sinking while they had exclusives?

And do they realise that Gears isn't the system seller they think it is?

Their biggest problem isn't PS5, its they release the games day and date onto pc and game pass, they is really no need for an xbox and thats evident with the sales figures for xbox before the whole ps5 push.

This just muddies the water even more with the different games. Its a mess

Re: Hellblade Returns in 2027 with New Game Senua on PS5

@AdamNovice The difference with Sony was, they put their games on PC for the sheer fact of gaining more profit. You can see that by the drib and drab approach of games they put on. Pulling back really won't effect anything because their main source of income is on their own platform, which has sold probably over 100m now.

Xbox's problem was never exclusives, they had them, they started putting games on playstation because they needed to, because Xbox was sinking and they panicked.

The problem with Xbox is and was the gamers are just not there. Xbox including the series S are at around 40m sold.

Gears cant save them, it was never a system seller and now pulling it back isn't going to entice players back so all theyve done now is give the ones who are still there a game for themselves well them and pc players and that didnt work in the first place.

And your right, it seems like every other game is coming anyway so all they've done now is completely confused the players.

There is no hope, I just cant see a way back for them, the damage was already done years ago.
