Something cannot be delayed unless it has been announced. I dont quite understand the world we live in now that, rumours and hear say are now classed as news and thay something which jas 0 release date nor has been really talked about by playstation can be delayed.

@Balosi yes but vr is a bit of a sickness trip if in to long.
And ps3 is going back a few generations to get it and you have to have the camera.

You would just of thought there would of been a better break through, considering how accurate and fun those light guns were back in the 90s.

I know there is the whole gyro with the time crisis game but you just want the gun.

I guess VR is where its at. But until they can truly get rid of the motion sickness, its always going to be a quick in and out experience for many

The funniest thing in all of this is, we've watch the growth of games over the decades and we are striving for emersion and yet, no one has truly invented a replacement on par or better than the home light gun of the 90s.

PC players are on PC and the problem they may face is if gabe cube comes out at a very competitive price.

Sorry but the game just isnt good enough and it really isnt a God Of War game.

The story and the whole buddy thing is just not the back story, I want for a Kratos.

But I get the wanting smaller titles and its worth it but it truly needs to be of high quality and it just isnt.

Its an ok game it just isnt a great game.

We have enough ok games.

And we have alot of epic games in that genre which are miles better.

The question is, are they going to get rid of xbox live.

Because as it stands you still need to pay to go online.

But steam games and online is free on pc.

So are they going to scrap the payment schemes.

You cant have online xbox games having to pay and steam not paying.

It seems very messy.

The best golf game and a top rated monster hunter game.

Those 2 alone cover the price of the monthly sub if not exceeds it.

Non of them are really my go to games but I appreciate that they are varying their selections for everyone.

They are literally making remakes without them, they even put up a article a few days later asking what remakes would we like.

Blue point are renowned for going into older games and redesigning them for modern times, thats pretty much all they ever did.

Sony bought them after making the exceptional Demon souls, which even today is still one of the best looking ps5 games we have.

So buying a studio in which specialise in remaking games, you dont have them remaking your back catalogue?

The whole reason for buying them would be to do that.

What Playstation have done, is taken a very unique and talented team specialising in remakes, putting them on as a support team for a game, pushing live service onto them, without any experience and before they csn do what they was bought to do, you close the studio.

Blue point was doing absolutely fine without being bought, playstation buys them and shuts them down before they can even make a new game.

Yet on the other end, media molecule are still some how going, fairgame decelopers are some how still going, Bend some how are still going.

Yet Blue Point who made the best looking game on ps5, specialise in remakes, closed down.

Its like buying a well respected chain of shops buying them after their success and just going o it didnt work, best close then down.

Even though they were doing pretty fine without them

Playstation gas a huge back log of franchises blueprint could of done.

Complete miss management from playstation. Hurst unfortunately has to go.

You cant buy a top team doing great on their own to then just shut them down and made them be a secondary helping hand.

Well they should be backtracking in getting rid of blue point and making them the remake studio.

Either way I think the story is core and that wont change.

But the worrying thing for me is if they do change the gameplay.
For me it was central to the game.

Bluepoint have never made a bad game and are amazing at what they do.

Some how playstation buys them and shuts them down! Thats unacceptable, they was doing great without playstation.

Then you've got Bend, took over a decade to release DaysGone then get a game cancelled and some how still going?

And the gun was so kuch kore accurate and fun.

@Kingy we will. But a remake is classed as the same core story but a overhaul of everything else.

I actually dont like the idea of changing the game to be more like norse games.

What made the god of war trilogy amazing was its core gameplay. No one truly cared about the story. It was a good story but the arcade combat is what made those games.

@Kingy they aren't changing it. They are just remaking them.

The story won't change and no technically what happens in the new ones hasn't really got anything to do with his past but more about his sons future and wife's legacy.

The original games is Kratos is just pure anger and wants to kill every god and also they are the pinicacle of arcade melee combat. Jist a pure delight to play let alone the crazy story.

Its really fustrating though that the demo section has just disappeared.

Pragmata I went on its main page clicked the 3 dots and the demo page for it was linked.

But Darwin I went there did the same thing and 0 link to the demo.

There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to how any of it works when it comes to demos. Which is a real shame because many games may be hurting because no one knows about a demo or cant find it.

@Grumblevolcano blue point had 2 games in development, a remake and an original. The live service was cancelled and they started work on another but we haven't heard anything since lainch from them.

Bend still last game was days gone. Im expecting an update at least.

We've got to be seeing what blue point have been up to and Bend.

We've seen nothing from them now for 5 or 6 years.

@Areus I mean variety is a stretch? Its a live service game. With a 3 person co op.

I think when we say variety, we mean more than just third person and that type of genre.

All of playstations outings right now have been open world or semi open world with their trade mark 3rd person adventure.

Bring me back a short 10 to 15 hours epic adventure like uncharted or a totally different genre, or a first person shooter single player.

Not a same gameplay as horizon but online with debatable looking graphics and not really what many wanted from a online horizon game.

And this is why live service only games really just need to die.

There should always be a single player element to a game so people can always play.

Even Arc Raiders great game but once it falls and people move on and the developers move on to new games in the end that will also shut down and unable to play.

You win some. You lose some.

But to think that December was a pretty bad selection offering games they already had on ps plus extra and then do it again for January.

I mean surely youd make either the last month of the year a banger or the firdt month of a new year a banger month and yet both gave us games which have already appeared already.

Slightly dissapointed but reality is if you aversge it out over the year weve had amazing games. Its just a let down the 2 months you think they'd throw out some heavy hitters. We didnt get any.

@Kiefer-Sutherland you would think the 2 biggest months of the year would either be the holidays Dec or start off the year with a bang. I understand you cant have a double whammy but both these months now seem to be the worse of the year.

Im going to bet now Jan is the worse month of 2026 for free games.

If no one had exclusives there be absolutely no reason to buy a particular console.

And what would happen would people would just gravitate towards just 1 and slowly but surely they'd be 1 console and nothing else.

Exclusives drive people to a primary console and then maybe a secondary console just for exclusives.

Many here probably game primarily on playstation maybe for its exclusives or because of its 3rd party support but majority may have a nintendo for its exclusives. Or vice versa

This is a game i had my eye on when it was announced and was looking forward to it.

Then it released and honestly I dont even remember it being released, this is the first time I've seen anything of it and didn't even know it was out.

Meaning a true indie game is a game made and published by the same studio and has 0 connection to a publisher or company.

We shouldn't have to skirt around the meanings its pretty straight forward.

Anything from devolver digital is not an indie game. Its just a game just not a triple a game.

What i took away from it all was.

The other trilogy was the beginnings of the wealthy Lara Croft, she started in that game as the wealthy I'll just do whatever I want Lara until she was captured and had to fight for survival making her more hardened.

The new game feels like they have jumped to the era where Lara is older and more mature and knows who she is and what she is capable of. Exactly how Lara would be and also Lara is wealthy, she always has been, bht a seasoned treasure hunter has to have a gritty beginning to push her to be what she became.

My only wish is they bring back the mansion for me to explore hahaha

I mean there reboot 1 and 2 were amazing. I loved 1 but 2 for me was a masterpiece.

The remake type game looks like it has all the best bits of the first game but wrapped up nicely and the bee sequel type game looks like a great hardened veteran Lara which is needed.

The remake type game was absolutely amazing. It looked like a total revision of that game and not just a remade same area type game. Amazing. I was actually blown away by each part thinking wait are they bringing back the original enemies and then realised it was a type of remake.

The actual sequel game looked above and beyond what they did with the reboot. I actually cannot wait to jump back into this world.

I just dont get the hype for the game.

Its ok but the interactivity is pretty poor. I just found it quite boring. So many merchants fronts but nothing.

NPCs are just there and dont really do much.

It just never felt actually lived in and I was just going through the motions.

Maybe im missing something and people can enlighten me but I was pretty dissapointed, esp when witcher 3 was such a step above everything else.

Still cant believe people went for diablo 4 dlc.

Why in God's name would they ever go to this extent for a sec for starters or.even diablo 4.

Its just not that big of a game to ever warrant this much of an effort.

Maybe If it was to tease the actual release or diablo 5. But not a dlc for it.

It has to be a new game or a reboot of a beloved game for this much effort.

The turn base combat put me off a d haven't played since.

I'll play the remakes and the spin offs in which use the only combat.

Trust me I've trust and the combat just bores me.

I just dont feel like they should of changed that aspect. We have many many games which are turn base action.

So ill just wait patiently for those to come around.

Overall though not been a bad year for ps plus and with extra, I think the games I've played and have from it more than justifies the sub price.

MGS4 Just doesnt make sense without playing and being invested in the world.

The entire premise of 4 is a throwback to everything what has happened.

So realistically theyve remade 3
Next should be MGS1 then 2 and then have MGS4.

Its like how Sony remastered uncharted 4 and shoved it on pc.

Uncharted 4 does nothing unless youve played 1 2 and 3.

Or remaking star wars episode 6 in 20 years without any mention or build up with episodes 4 and 5.

It just wont have the same impact at all

I was all in on the switch because it was a new concept.

Some great games but really as always with nintendo consoles for myself they are my secondary machines and honestly apart from the few and far between nintendo exclusive heavy hitters I just dont bother with it.

But switch 2 just hasn't launched with anything worth it for right now.

The biggest games for switch 2 are 2 switch ports.

Mario Kart is great but it isnt a system seller for me. The third party line up, are games I've already played on a better system for those games.

So really switch 2 just doesnt have the killer apps for me to jump.

Id rather stick with my ps5 pro and my outdated but still half decent gaming pc and ill wait for a switch 2 sale next year or the yesr after whenever thr big Mario, fella or metriod

It was an good for its time but really once I played the new 2d prince of persia the lost crown game. All I want is wd prince of persia games actually the same as the lost crown. Perfect for what prince of persia was in the beginning

SteamDeck released pretty cheap, for its time and is still going strong now.

Then you look at xbox effort and many dont think its worth the money at nearly a 1000 just for a handheld.

The price has to match its performance.

They can't keep using the excuse that its a pc not a console, when it will ship with just a controller.

Realistically a ps5 could in theory have the workings of a pc within it. Considering the specs of its machine is better than a steam machine, so if it ends up being more costly just because you can have it as a pc then I just dont see the worth.

I think it will launch at 499.

Unfortunately the steam machines power is just a tiny bit less powerful than a ps5.

You can build a pc with the same specs for quite cheap.

If this machine doesnt have its mic drop moment with its price. I see no reason for it.

You really cant expect a device to sell which is dearer than a 5 year old piece of kit which performs better

Insomniac has literally been the most active dev team for sony this entire generation.

It's so strange because some how Insomniac is used all the time regarding this type of thing.

Yet every other developer at Sony has done alot worse.

Naughty Dog haven't released a game since the ps4.

Sucker punch have only just brought out Yōtei, so before that it was just ps4.

Santa Monica, God Of War 2018, shows teaser at ps5 launch, 2020 Doesn't come out with its second game until 2022.

Bend haven't shown anything since Days Gone.

Blue point made demon souls, absolutely nothing since from them.

There is so much talk regarding Horizon but the main team have only put out the sequel and made a pointless remaster of the first game.

Insomniac spiderman, then quickly made a ps5 version, with a miles morales game.
Then made a rachet and clank game, then brought out Spiderman 2, which released in 2023,m. With a teaser for wolverine.

When Wolverine releases in 2026. It would of only been 3 years since they released their last game.

I think its a smart move if they do.

Its like banging your head against a brick wall, when you keep hearing people talk about how its sp much better and beneficial for every gamer if they are played everywhere.

If that was the case then their wouldn't be a need to buy a particular console.

This is a business, this isn't a let's make everyone happy.

A product to sell needs a defining factor otherwise what reason does anyone have to buy?

Just like xbox series x right now. What reason do I have to buy 1? Even before they started putting their exclusives onto playstation. You can just buy a half decent pc and buy every xbox game or i can buy a tv and use gamepass.

There really is absolutely no incentive to buy an xbox at all, its just another box if you fancy it.

But Playstation just like Nintendo have a reason, they make quality firdt party exclusive games, which you cant play anywhere else for the most part. That is the selling factor.

Once you give that up, then you just become another box.

Live service games are different, they should be put on to everything to bring in regular money.

But single player games are what made me decide to stick with playstation since the ps1.

And with the steammachine you dont want your competitor having your secret source.

The SteamCube will be successful if the price is right.

People talking about it being near 1000 in price. The specs are between a series S and a PS5.

If the price doesn't match thise specs then its dead in the water.

I don't think anyone is going to really buy 1, if the price is higher than a ps5 pro.

Considering you can probably build a proper PC for around that price and it will have better specs.

We have to think the PS5 is selling right now for 429.99.

You cant sell it double that.

If it hits around that price, it wont touch playstation but Xbox may aswel just become a third party publisher and forget the console market.
