We're in the throes of March right now, and Sony's celebrating this revered part of the year with the Mega March sale on PS Store.
It runs from now until 25th March, and as expected, the sale contains literally thousands of digital items going cheap. That can be hard to parse, which is where we come in.
We've put together a list of some of the best games available in the sale to make browsing for quality PS5 and PS4 games that little bit easier. Everything featured here has at least a 7/10 from Push Square, and it's all going for its lowest price — some lower than ever.

Here are our recommendations for PS Store's Mega March sale.
Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PS5)
$25.99/£19.49 (-35%)
Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition is a wonderful example of modernising a classic game, providing new quality of life features and a fresh coat of paint while retaining its original feel. For hardcore RTS fans who are itching to pick something new up this is a must buy, and an adaptable AI difficulty level means there’s something for everyone.
Anger Foot (PS5)
$9.99/£7.99 (-50%)
Anger Foot is an aggressive action game that feels like a sort of first-person Hotline Miami. This rapid-paced experience is all about kicking down doors and destroying groups of enemies in quick succession, using your feet and all manner of weaponry at your disposal. With colourful visuals and a pulse-pounding soundtrack, this comes recommended for anyone looking for some violent, high-speed thrills.
Animal Well (PS5)
$17.49/£13.99 (-30%)
A 2D Metroidvania like no other, Animal Well is an extremely rewarding game — if you're willing to lose yourself in it. The sort of mysteries it's hiding go well beyond finding collectibles, giving you a rich and detailed world to unpack. If you have the patience and the curiosity, it's absolutely worth plumbing its depths.
Another Crab's Treasure (PS5)
$14.99/£12.49 (-50%)
Another Crab's Treasure is a refreshingly different take on the soulslike action RPG. Its more lighthearted presentation, stronger emphasis on story, and sense of humour don't take away from the genre's core, however — this is equally a stern, challenging adventure with fun combat to master and lots of secrets to discover. Despite some technical flaws, though, it's a very enjoyable adventure that's tougher than it looks.
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration (PS5)
$17.99/£15.74 (-55%)
While many of the included games may border on unplayable from a modern perspective, the painstaking attention to detail in Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is extremely easy to appreciate. The museum-like carousel of content, from interviews through to original artwork, is presented so handsomely that you can’t not get swept up in Atari’s dramatic story. And the fact that there over 100 of the company’s most famous titles, emulated excellently with their original instruction manuals available to pore over, adds playable context to a lot of the content. This is just an impressive overall experience that will appeal to those who lived through the rise (and fall) of Atari, as well as younger players eager to learn a little more about one of the industry’s true pioneers.

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition (PS5)
$11.99/£10.79 (-40%)
A true cult classic, Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition is a lovely remaster of a PS2 favourite. Playing as freedom fighter Jade, this unique sci-fi adventure has you exploring a weird and wonderful world through the lens of her camera. The remaster brings the visuals up to date and throws in some quality-of-life improvements, but the main reason to play this is for the great story and characters, which remain fresh and charming to this day.
Children of Morta (PS4)
$3.29/£2.69 (-85%)
You play as several members of the Bergson family in rogue-lite Children of Morta, each with their own combat styles and abilities. Whether you take sword-wielding John, archer Linda, or martial arts master Mark into the fray, you're constantly rewarded with each run. The game is challenging, but persistent RPG elements and upgrades mean you always come back that little bit stronger. What's interesting is that, as each warrior levels up, certain benefits will be attributed to the whole family. This emphasis on the collective effort, and not just one "special" hero, is a nice change.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (PS5)
$19.79/£19.79 (-67%)
Crash Bandicoot is one of PlayStation’s most iconic platforming heroes, and now that he’s double-jumped onto PS5, there’s no excuse for skipping Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time. This sequel stays true to the series’ origins, but it’s bursting with brand new ideas and jaw-dropping set-piece moments. Running at a flawless 60 frames-per-second in sparkling 4K resolution — and cutting those load times to almost nothing — this release is at its absolute best on Sony’s next-gen console.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion (PS5)
$19.99/£19.99 (-60%)
Crisis Core remains as cheesy and cringy as ever on PS5, but it's a much more approachable game now thanks to this largely fantastic remaster from Square Enix. With a refined combat system and gameplay mechanics, alongside much-updated visuals, the Final Fantasy VII prequel is well worth playing if you're a fan of the series-within-a-series. Just try not to take the storytelling too seriously!
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PS5)
$49.69/£52.49 (-29%/-25%)
Masterful in its storytelling, characters, and visuals, Kojima Productions went bigger and better with a sequel that comfortably dwarfs what the Japanese team achieved in its first delivery experience. Main character Sam is once again tasked with reconnecting a land mass to the chiral network, but this time his deliveries are further and expanded to encompass proper combat scenarios. Death Stranding 2 is a cinematic achievement on all fronts that will remain one of the crown jewels of the PS5 library forever.
Evil West (PS5)
$14.99/£12.49 (-75%)
Evil West is one of those really enjoyable 7/10s. It's never going to win any awards and it's probably not going to stick long in the memory, but give it a few years and someone, somewhere, will swear to you that it's actually an underappreciated classic. It's a chunky action game that knows how to have fun, both in and out of combat.

Bit of mixed bag in regards to actual "sales" MGSD being 50% is very nice if people are still on the fence about it. Really tempted with Nioh but isn't there a PS5 version? Sekiro still at £30 is wild to me (yes it's a god tier game but still), Honestly Spyro is the one jumping out to me the most.
That F.I.S.T. game with the rabbit looks interesting, might look into that further.
I recommend Pentiment from this sale. Go into it expecting a period drama murder mystery. If you like historical fiction you'll have a good time with the setting and characters. I loved it.
I strongly recommend System Shock 2. This is a top-tier classic, a Sci-fi FPS/RPG hybrid, one of the best immersive sims. Yes, some aspects feel dated, but the atmosphere is fantastic. This is the game that inspired: BioShock, Prey (2017), Deus Ex, Dead Space.
Grabbed Tainted Grail. After learning about it from this site and seeing that the developer just came out with a new update, I thought it was time to snag it. Hopefully I didn't get bagged by their dynamic pricing.
@Stephen couldn't you just give us a list of your recommendations instead pages, we can quickly scan list click on any title we're interested in and be on our way.
@StrickenBiged F.I.S.T is good give it a try
@StrickenBiged I liked it a lot, would recommend
@SodaPop6548 got platinum for Tainted Grail last week, enjoyable game found the horse a pain better to just run everywhere
These breakdown articles are very helpful navigating the sales, thank you.
Children of Morta is a steal for a few bucks for those who have not played.
Nioh 3 is on sale (Not Listed Above)
I was surfing like night I bought AC Unity for £3.74 and was looking for some more games and I'm sorry the store is full again of shovelware again. It's clear that the ones been removed have now been replaced with more crap
Might grab Pentiment. Enjoyed it on Game Pass and it’s worth another run or two to see different outcomes.
Promise Mascot Agency is a fun game I very much recommend.
Warhammer darktide is a good price for 9
