It seems like South of Midnight maker Compulsion Games, formerly part of Xbox Game Studios and recently spun-off as an independent entity, will keep the lights on by offering support services for other devs.
As part of a LinkedIn statement, the studio said it’s “expanding opportunities to collaborate with studios across the games and entertainment industry”.
It added:
“With deep experience in creating acclaimed original IP, we bring our artistry, technical expertise, and collaborative approach to every project. We are excited to support the development of memorable experiences that engage and entertain players around the world.”

Unlike other ex-Xbox devs Undead Labs and Ninja Theory, Compulsion Games has gone fully independent again since leaving Microsoft.
I expect it’ll take whatever work it can get to ensure its employees get paid, while it refocuses and figures out what it wants to do moving forward.
Hopefully it gets the work it requires to continue operating, and perhaps it’ll find additional funding in the future to develop its own games again.
