Bingo. My guess is that Square didn't read the fine print on Sony's documents, and now PS4 got the all-in-one package about the same day Xbox One got 1,5+II.2 and 2.8 as separate collections instead of The Story So Far.

Never been into conspiracy theories, to be honest, but there are way too much shenanigans involved. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony had something to do with the no-Nintendo-console stigma for numbered entries.

Re: Guide: What Time Is the PS5 Games Reveal Event?

Even without feeling actively involved (my current "big boy" console is an Xbox One), I'll make sure not to miss this one out. I'm not ruling out picking up a PS5 over an Xbox Series X for my non-Nintendo needs either, so Sony will need to play their cards as well as possible.

I might sound like a grumpy old guy here, but I fail to see the appeal of a first-person Crash Bandicoot game. I think a game is supposed to be conceived with VR in mind for it to work. Shoehorning a franchise into a type of gaming experience that's not fit for it will hardly do the trick.
Forget the fact I'm a Nintendo gamer - the 3D gameplay I got out of the Nintendo 3DS was neat when I could look into the screen, but I didn't actually need for things to pop out. I admit I've never tried VR, but it's not like I don't have the possibility to do so either - Nintendo Labo is right there. I just don't see VR as something for me, so it's totally subjective. Realism in game is all fine and dandy, as long as they don't try to grab me into it. That's not a line that's supposed to be crossed - again, in my opinion at least.

Re: Talking Point: What PS5 Games Do You Expect at Sony's Future of Gaming Reveal Event?

You may me know me as the Nintendo guy here, but I actually got my gaming start on PS1. Crash Bandicoot was my gateway to gaming, and by extension what cemented my love for platformers period. Given the gradual shift towards mature-only offerings on Sony's part and my own need of a portable Crash back in the day, the GBA was the way to go and that's when I got to know the plumber in red.
That said, however, I did get a PS2 once the Wii came around, mostly thanks to the discounted price. However, it was mostly as a companion piece to my GBA, given my first Kingdom Hearts game was Chain of Memories. Other than that and the PSP giving the original Crash and Spyro games some long overdue portability, that was it for Sony systems for me. Owned an used Xbox 360 not long after, and then I got an Xbox One to get all the third-party games my Wii U couldn't afford.

All of this introduction - I'm wordy, bear with me - just to say that I'm rooting for Crash Bandicoot. I might have gotten Crash and Spyro on Switch (sorry, @ShogunRok), but I'm currently planning to revert to PS5 for my third-party needs during the next generation. Being a Nintendo guy, graphics won't do it for me; rather, it will all boil down to the games presented... and, if you've paid attention to my PS2 story, the price. No matter what Jim Ryan isn't willing to say about it.

Given I'm not apparently going to afford a PS5 at launch, however, I'm wishing the best for the console reveal, for the sake of all of you who can get it. Best of luck, of games, and everything else.

I'm thoroughly amused by how, despite specifically stating that most of my trolling was contained within my first two comments, I still managed to ruffle some feathers.
Anyway, your point about not buying the game is immediately made moot by the fact I don't own a PS4 for the time being, so I'm afraid the joke is on you.
