'The Game Looks Fantastic': Insider Shares Wolverine PS5 Tidbit Ahead of Rumoured Re-Reveal 1

Marvel’s Wolverine may be days away from its big PS5 re-reveal.

That’s if speculation shared by the largely accurate Tom Henderson is accurate.

He reported recently that Sony is plotting a September State of Play, and Insomniac’s highly anticipated action game will “almost certainly” be a part of it.

Now, speaking as part of an Insider Gaming podcast, he’s helped fuel the hype with a few more details.

He said:

“From a few playtesters that I've been speaking to, they think that the game looks fantastic. So that's good news.”

Henderson also explained that the high-profile Insomniac hack, which resulted in employee data being publicised and the entire game being posted online, contributed to the project’s delay. But it sounds like it’s now almost ready for primetime.

Marvel’s Wolverine was announced all the way back in September 2021, so it’s been four years since we last officially saw it.

In that time, it’s gone through some directorial changes, with Insomniac veterans Marcus Smith and Mike Daily – the two main men from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – heading up the project as of October 2024.

Personally, we can’t wait to see how this project has progressed over the past four years, so we’re really hopeful this re-reveal turns out to be true.
