@somnambulance it’s a solid line up, but I think the masses will also want at least two of the four before taking the plunge- Zelda, Smash, 3d Mario and Mario Party. It will be interesting to see if Pokopia starts moving units.

@RoomWithaMoose I like the form factor. Think of it like a high end controller like the Edge- but instead with a screen.

How hard would it be to transfer this game to PsVr2? The IP has more traction now than before. I wish Sony would throw us a bone.

This isn’t a situation like the Nintendo Switch where basic games are struggling to run. On the contrary, it seems that very few games are getting the most out of this hardware. On top of that, what else can be done that’s going to make me want to upgrade right away? I guess it would be nice to get a proper handheld capable of running games natively. But that’s obviously a few years away, at least to get in a price point for the masses.

@Titntin that’s what I did with 5. I waited until a sale. It’s also cool to play on the Portal.

They need to just give up.

@GamingGod these are first party titles. There’s plenty of shovelware on the PlayStation platform too.

@GamingGod just looked it up and it said that 28 Nintendo Switch games have sold five million or more.

@madmaxrules I use my Series S more than the X bc it’s portable and I can take it to friends. I bought a bunch of 3 month Gamepass codes on Amazon. I think they are still available,

I can’t wait. I love this game as much as I love Mario Kart….this will be a fun addition.

I bought this when it released and it’s fantastic….i can see myself playing this for many, many hours.

@Nei I like them both for different reasons. Sonic has more depth and for now more content to look forward to…. MKW is cleaner, more polished and I like the characters better. I like MKW just a little better but I can’t say anything bad about Sonic.

@Jswift56 glad I am not the only one. The game is awesome, but at times not as approachable for a casual gamer. In this regard, I like Forza better.

Surprised you guys have not done a review for the new DLC….

@omadeli me too…. Unless it’s just totally unappealing, but I am gonna guess that there will be at least something that I will want.

The machine itself is awesome. But tthe library is disappointing at this stage of the life cycle….

I see it as a premium controller. I would rather have this than the Edge. As cool as it is, I just don’t have much use for the Edge, but this is something I can use when others are watching tv….

I was a big fan of the WiiU, so I immediately thought it would be cool. I didn’t get one at launch bc I couldn’t justify the purchase with my available funds. But funds became available and i bought one on impulse….

Definitely looking forward to this….

@Th3solution hardwiring connection to ps5 makes all the difference in the world. There’s a few other things u can do, but that’s the biggest difference to improve performance.

As someone who loves handheld gaming, I love it for its ergonomics….

My boycott of Hogwarts was to wait for a sale. My only regret was not waiting longer bc it went on deep discount relatively soon.

I wanted a Series S to take to friends’s houses….Sam’s had one for $329 and I bought it. Glad I did.

I wanted to get it on Switch 2, but I guess I will get it on ps5 bc it is delayed….

@sanderson72 I love Sonic All Stars Transformed, but it’s not better than Mario Kart….it is criminally underrated tho. Definitely one of my favorite racing games of all time.

I am so tempted to get Forza Horizon 5 even tho I have it on Gamepass. I want to play it on my Portal. It’s on sale rn. Someone please talk me out of this…

@Oram77 I think this is why they have not launched the Switch 2…. They are waiting for Mk8 to fall out of the top 10.

At what point do we reach diminished returns? For a lot of people, I think that might have been the last generation/current generation. Other than faster loading times, or the elimination thereof, I don’t really care that much about ultra high resolution and frame rates. So with that said, I wonder if the next frontier for Sony and MSFT would be to go the hybrid route like Nintendo.

I never preorder or buy day one unless it’s Nintendo….. but I preordered this one bc it looks so cool and I want to support this kind of game. Very excited!

I preordered on Monday…..this looks amazing. I am a Nintendo fan first and foremost, and this feels every bit as good as any Mario game….maybe better. Can’t wait!

@ShogunRok exactly…..I love playing games, but I don’t want to make the time commitment to master them…. I like games that….are easy to learn, difficult to master…..have a gradual learning curve…..are forgiving….or allow you to grind through to eventually defeat enemies…..

It’s also on sale for $55, or 20 percent off…. Not sure if i should give it a go or wait till later for an even deeper discount….

I have one….i am pretty happy with my purchase, but I am a very casual gamer and easily impressed. I just like having the option to do something different on the machine….

We have reached diminishing returns in gaming….only diehard gamers care about 4K and teraflops…..for the vast majority of of gamers, the PS4, Xbone and to a degree the Switch is flat out good enough. That said, as a casual gamer, I feel the upgrade to a Ps5 is totally worth it….
