@omadeli me too…. Unless it’s just totally unappealing, but I am gonna guess that there will be at least something that I will want.

The machine itself is awesome. But tthe library is disappointing at this stage of the life cycle….

@Nei I love both games, but prefer Mario Kart by a hair….

@Svark exactly…. I usually wait for a sale but sometimes buy at full price to support the devs. I took the plunge today.

I see it as a premium controller. I would rather have this than the Edge. As cool as it is, I just don’t have much use for the Edge, but this is something I can use when others are watching tv….

I was a big fan of the WiiU, so I immediately thought it would be cool. I didn’t get one at launch bc I couldn’t justify the purchase with my available funds. But funds became available and i bought one on impulse….

Definitely looking forward to this….

@Th3solution hardwiring connection to ps5 makes all the difference in the world. There’s a few other things u can do, but that’s the biggest difference to improve performance.

As someone who loves handheld gaming, I love it for its ergonomics….

My boycott of Hogwarts was to wait for a sale. My only regret was not waiting longer bc it went on deep discount relatively soon.

I wanted a Series S to take to friends’s houses….Sam’s had one for $329 and I bought it. Glad I did.

I wanted to get it on Switch 2, but I guess I will get it on ps5 bc it is delayed….

@sanderson72 I love Sonic All Stars Transformed, but it’s not better than Mario Kart….it is criminally underrated tho. Definitely one of my favorite racing games of all time.

I am so tempted to get Forza Horizon 5 even tho I have it on Gamepass. I want to play it on my Portal. It’s on sale rn. Someone please talk me out of this…

@Oram77 I think this is why they have not launched the Switch 2…. They are waiting for Mk8 to fall out of the top 10.

At what point do we reach diminished returns? For a lot of people, I think that might have been the last generation/current generation. Other than faster loading times, or the elimination thereof, I don’t really care that much about ultra high resolution and frame rates. So with that said, I wonder if the next frontier for Sony and MSFT would be to go the hybrid route like Nintendo.

I never preorder or buy day one unless it’s Nintendo….. but I preordered this one bc it looks so cool and I want to support this kind of game. Very excited!

I preordered on Monday…..this looks amazing. I am a Nintendo fan first and foremost, and this feels every bit as good as any Mario game….maybe better. Can’t wait!

@ShogunRok exactly…..I love playing games, but I don’t want to make the time commitment to master them…. I like games that….are easy to learn, difficult to master…..have a gradual learning curve…..are forgiving….or allow you to grind through to eventually defeat enemies…..

It’s also on sale for $55, or 20 percent off…. Not sure if i should give it a go or wait till later for an even deeper discount….

I have one….i am pretty happy with my purchase, but I am a very casual gamer and easily impressed. I just like having the option to do something different on the machine….

We have reached diminishing returns in gaming….only diehard gamers care about 4K and teraflops…..for the vast majority of of gamers, the PS4, Xbone and to a degree the Switch is flat out good enough. That said, as a casual gamer, I feel the upgrade to a Ps5 is totally worth it….

I can’t really complain bc I am new to Sony ecosystem, save the Vita. So, a lot of the previous gen is new content for me. I think I would be a little disappointed if I had a PS4 since 2013 or 2014 and didn’t have other systems to keep me occupied….

@sentiententity definitely…..I don’t have the time or patience to get through these games…..even some of the less challenging ones.

@Ephexis83 they probably don’t have the budget….I think they have done a fairly admirable job with what they have done so far. This way they also target their market. I bought the collection and a few of their recharged games on sale….

@Drago201 this is why we won’t see a Switch successor until 2025 or beyond….

I did my part….. bought one last week to reward myself for four years of sobriety. I know I will live GT7, RE4, Tetris and at least a few others. I probably cursed it, just like I did the WiiU and Vita….

Not bad, especially if you spend a lot on PlayStation…. I have one on Amazon and for Costco and have gotten thousands of dollars back…. BUT… You HAVE. to pay off in full or they get u with fees.

I would definitely get one….if I didn’t have a Switch, Steam Deck and dedicated TV for gaming. I just have too many devices. Plus, I am seriously considering a PSVR2.

@Martijn87 the flip side is that maybe they should get sales whilst they don’t have any competition. Nintendo when it’s hitting its stride is a force to be reckoned with….

@Flaming_Kaiser I remember when I first signed on to GamePass and how I was like a kid in a candy store…..then I realized that a lot of these games get taken off the service….i still like it, but there is definitely value in actually owning the game to be able to play at your own pace….

It looks cool, but I just don’t think this game is for me. Kinda like Splatoon. It might be fun for me to watch others play for a bit, but I just don’t enjoy battle royale/competitive shooters, even if casual….

Probably wait for this to drop in price some. Not bc of quality or lack of desire but bc the volume of unplayed games I have.

The last generation systems are still quite capable. Hell, the Switch is obviously a notch below a PS4/Xbone and its successor will probably finally be on par with them.

@Stevemalkpus Tears of the Kingdom will continue to sell at a steady pace for at least another 8-10 months tho, if not through the next holiday season.
