I love the idea… not sure my WiFi is good enough for it. I would not mind playing it tethered to the Ps5 if possible….Will probably pass on it but might get it on impulse.

I don’t think it’s priced too badly…. Put this way, I would rather have this than the Edge.

@Beerheadgamer82 Nintendo won’t be able to compete on specs. The system will be too expensive and most Nintendo users aren’t as graphic/performance focused. Also, by essentially being a generation behind as far as hardware, it leaves some wiggle room for the future…. What I am getting at is that we are already at a point of diminishing returns as far as hardware. Honestly, I am still impressed with Ps4/xbone and think it would be pretty amazing to be able to have this level of performance in a handheld….

The main problem I have with a game like this is the same issue I have with Splatoon…. I am just not big with online multiplayer and much prefer a single player campaign….but this does look cool if you are into games like this.

This is my first Dony home console, tho I do have a Vita….

@NinjaNicky I see what u did there! Not a huge Zelda fan, but it does seem like there’s more to do on this rendition…

I love this idea…. It was pretty much what got me back into gaming with the WiiU. Would consider getting one for $300 or less, especially if the controls mimic the Duelsense fairly well.

Zelda sold one million in Japan over the weekend…. I think Splatoon 3 also did similar numbers.

@Slippship while the Steamdeck is far more robots, the battery sucks and it’s quite bulky. Granted, you have to be a fan of Nintendo like stuff, but it has the most exclusives and developers have managed to do a lot with the hardware…. It’s starting to feel dated but I still prefer it over my other three consoles. The Vita has aged pretty well. It’s like the WiiU. Under appreciated and obviously didn’t sell very well. It’s a great little device but the Switch is an upgrade

@xDD90x I think u can add them to ur library still. I did this with my Vita. I added PS4 games to the library even tho I didn’t have one. They are now playable if I renew my Plus sub.

@SamMR the only thing I can think would be enormous fines or maybe even ban MSFT from doing ANY biz in the UK? But if it’s just a matter of not selling Gamepass or certain games in the UK, if I am MSFT, that’s a big “who cares?” for me.

As cool as subscriptions can be, I like to buy games on sale so I can play them at my pace. Xbox sorta does it right bc they own so many studios…sticking with GamePass for at least the end of the year. Not sure if I continue after that. If u are selective and patient, you can own some great games very inexpensively. Tht said, I do like that u can try out games that you normally might not have tried before…

@Ooccoo_Jr they haven’t delivered on any exclusives hardly….I like Xbox and all, but it really doesn’t have much character or soul….

@BeerIsAwesome well, I think they can use the characters more…. Maybe make some party games with Sony characters?

@NEStalgia I thought it was going to sell about as much as it was going to sell 20 million copies ago….I sure was wrong. as mentioned, it’s just a go to game for new Switch owners, even more than Odyssey or NSMBU….and I guess the movie has sparked some interest in new systems.

@rjejr I actually did look to play PS4 games that I missed….. the graphics were still amazing to me coming from the Nintendo ecosystem…..

@BeerIsAwesome this would be amazing…. Create your own Mario themed worlds. A bit like Animal Crossing, but with the Mario them instead. Maybe even offer different art styles from different generations…,

@MFTWrecks I am a very casual gamer and didn’t find it hard at all. It has adjustable difficulty.

I would consider buying this if it was integrated into at least some games for the option to have a second screen like the Gamepad…..

@Loamy oddly enough, I am not a big golf fan but I enjoy playing golf sims, especially Mario Golf….

Interesting that they would want to consider this, given the failure of the WiiU and Vita, not to mention an already crowded space for this. I would stream to my Steamdeck or tablet befor dropping dough on this….

I guess none of Nintendo’s games are high end, lol. I guess it’s true, given that the chip is almost ten years old….it’s time for a Switch 2.0…

@Stevemalkpus Mario Kart especially…. I remember a few years ago, I thought it had peaked at 30 million and Nintendo could be selling x2 as many with a new release. I sure was wrong….And Animal Crossing…. Sure, it had a decent following and I figured it would sell 15, maybe approach 20 million over its lifetime. I love seeing Nintendo doing well after it was left for dead ten years ago…..

@Deoxyr1bose bayonetta is a niche franchise to begin with and it just had a release in the last five months. The game looks cool and has reviewed fairly well….

@GreatAuk I don’t think it’s coming this year. They expect to meet a lofty sales target and have ramped up production. I want a new system too, but if it comes out a bit later, we might get one that’s a little more powerful….

@NEStalgia he also thought Nintendo should stop making hardware…. Put IP on mobile and other platforms…. Pretty safe to bet against him…,

@NEStalgia I think most people thought that the Switch would do about as well as the 3ds. Even Pachter thought it would double the WiiU in first year sales, tho that obviously wouldn’t have been a huge feat.

I am very happy for Nintendo to turn things around. I am guessing that it will get pretty close to Ps2 levels with an outside shot at surpassing it.

I will wait for a sale here…. Hopefully….. my backlog across many systems is too vast to pay full price, as cool as this looks…

@pip_muzz agreed…. It’s really a mess. I will probably succumb to my desires, as video pinball is one of my favorites.

I already paid for one overpriced controller with my Elite 2 that came with a bundle. Admittedly I like it a lot but I don’t need or use most of the features. Battery is awesome and it’s very comfortable. I hope those who get this enjoy theirs. That said, I think the standard dual sense stands up fine against the Elite ergonomically….

@Ralizah I have and love all three systems, but the Switch is the one I would not want to do without…even to I am pissed at Nintendo for their handling of Mario Kart……

The best WiiU 3d platformer was Rayman….criminally underrated. NSMBU is a good game but nowhere near as good as Rayman. Loved the music, innovative use of gamepad, mini games…really good stuff. Supposedly there will be a new 2d Mario game released, so maybe there’s hope that they further innovate instead of regurgitate. Still surprised it made the top ten out of the blue like this. If I were new to Nintendo, I would get Mario Kart and Odyssey….

Hard pass. I bought an Elite 2 with series x bundle and I actually kinda like it. The main thing I like tho is the battery life. And it does feel great ergonomically. I only have to charge it once per month.

@Ralizah they add some life to the game, but it’s still upsetting to me that the Switch never got its own proper and unique Mario Kart.

@2here2there it really is unbelievable. Great for Nintendo and the series but terrible for fans who have been playing this game since May 2014 on the WiiU….so ready for a new entry

@Nash_Brandicoot I just got a Ps5 in July and Steamdeck about a month ago. It’s not an apples to apples comparison, but I would choose my Ps5 over the Deck if I had to choose one. The Switch generally covers portable gaming. I use the deck for sales and improved performance.. Granted, I missed the last generation of Sony, unless u count Vita. So I have more to play….that said, I am a huge fan of handheld gaming, so I completely understand your decision….

@PCPS4XB that is cool. If you look at it this way, it might not be that bad. Still not too interested now, but maybe down the road.

@Dr_Luigi I can see this being an impulse buy for me. I can buy it for zero interest on Amazon bc I have a credit card account with them spread across up to 18 months. But rn a pass. I have enough systems now.

@Kairu I have mostly moved on from the series, but it’s cool to play them for a few days after release and every now and then… Tho it’s hard to complain about 48 tracks for $24.99, I am ready for a new entry in the series. I am guessing this won’t happen till the next version of the Switch comes out.

@Kairu Mario Kart is the go to game for new Switch owners. Happy for Nintendo, but it sucks for those of us who have been playing it since 2014….
