Loved it, have been soaking up lore ever since. But! I actually feel they could have told the story better which would have added dramatic tension to some of the boss fights. I'm not talking quest logs or a lot of exposition – just a short scene to put the fight and stakes into context (as seen with Radahn).

Time for Sekiro – but as others have said, waiting to see what PS+ Extra brings.

I wouldn't expect too much – these celebrations tend to be mostly for fans. Maaaaybe confirmation of that "smaller" AC-game.

Having poured a bazillion hours into Elden Ring, I am closing in on the ending this weekend. Then, some Origins.

I liked to play a level or at a time, so I still have a few that I can now enjoy upgraded.

@The_Pixel_King I had a similar "dread" at the prospect of getting in to Elden Ring. I never seem to "git gud", and the world is overwhelming. But I think I'm 150 hrs in now, and it's amazing. Yes, there's a curve, but it will 100 % reward the effort. I just take my time, over-level, use whatever summons I feel like.

I would consider Extra, except it seems I will never finish Elden Ring, so it may be fruitless.

Elden Ring has me hooked and I will probably get Code Vein and Mortal Shell Enhanced.

Looks Cool. I'm interested. Although I would like to see more varied environments and menagerie of boss monsters (but I suspect they're keeping those under wraps because some feel they can be spoiled).

I would be totally fine with Ubi concluding that NFTs is what killed their game.

I feel like the reboot series got prettier as it went but had diminishing returns on the gameplay. So while I'm certain it's going to look gorgeous, I hope they'll try to innovate a little on the actual game bits. LBH, I will most likely buy it regardless, though.
Edit: And just get done with Daddy issues already! Lara can stand on her own by now.

I will not buy this game for "these reasons".

What is Hard for me is different than what is Hard for someone else. If I beat a challenging boss and feel a rush, who cares if that enemy was Easy or Hard?! The Git Gud'ers enjoy a sense of empowerment from learning and overcoming adversity, I'm sure – so why deny me, and many others, that exact same feeling just because I get it at a different pace? Not to mention, difficulty is always going to be an arbitrary choice. So many parameters will influence it, and every gamer is different.

Miyazaki should **definitely** present his games with a "this is how it's meant to be expereinced"-disclaimer. But in no way is that ruined by having options.

Played the demo on PS5. Glad to see it looking really good, for developers and players alike. Found the plot interesting and the world well realised. But the gameplay just felt a little … weird to me. Couldn't get into the mixture of walking sim, unimpressive stealth and FPS. Not going to buy the full version.

@Ashina Well, I would guess that Bobby Kotick is toast, at least. But probably not without a substantial golden parachute, unfortunately.

Finally gave in and bought Demon's Soul even though I kind of hate being punished by boss battles … but it just feels really, really good to play, and the tension gunning for the next safe place is captivating.

To relieve some of that tenion and, let's be honest, frustration I imbibe a lot of drugs and talk to weirdos in Disco Elysium. What an incredible rpg.

While quite pretty, the mythical DLC of Origins and particularly Odyssey didn't offer the same level of immersion as the main games did. It was all "just a fantasy", and running chores for pretend gods is not much fun. Hopefully, this will be better, and I will most likely check it out.

@RadioHedgeFund Yeah, there was a rumour that they would push a smaller game focused on king John which would be a great way to tie back to AC1. Coming full circle before relaunching as Infinity, maybe.

Yeeees. When the Odyssey 60fps came out I just couldn't wait for Origin's turn and played it last week. But I did save the DLC for later, so I'm still hoping for a patch.

Don't know about GOTY, but Village definately makes it into my top list for the year. It's just such silly fun.

@Greifchen For me it's mostly in the actress' delivery – very strong when needed, and a great sense of humour. Plus great visual character design.

@Logman @HaughtyHades Unity also gets huge props for the best realised city setting of the whole series.

I only played ACII as part of the collection, and the added-in DLC really drags the momentum towards the end. I will also never love all the insta-fail stealth and follow missions. So, not my favourite, although I do appreciate the story and general design of the game. It's certainly very high quality, but also very much of its time and probably benefits greatly from nostalgia.

Got the Pass on sale, and I am looking forward to it. Plenty to criticize about Valhalla, but overall I enjoyed it. It'll be fun to go back.

The incessant whining in these threads, seriously … Hitman 2 and Overcooked are both objectively great games, even if they're not for you, or you already own them (as I do).

But maybe it's time for Sony to offer a cheaper Plus membership with just the cloud service and multiplayer elements? Rather than adding more stuff people (proudly) won't like anyway?

Returned to AC Odyssey with the 60fps upgrade and it's really nice. I hadn't finished Atlantis, so taking the opportunity.
