The Witcher 3 Remastered just got its first update on PS5 (version 5.000.020), following its launch a few days back.

The patch is 1.1GB in size, and promises to fix some lighting issues, particularly in areas where everything seems just a bit too dark.

And that's the only real detail we have here on Sony's system. The patch overview also mentions "various other adjustments to ensure parity with the PC version," but that could mean anything at this point. I assume it's just referring to smaller graphical optimisations.

Both on PS5 and PS5 Pro, players have been reporting a number of performance-related problems, but this unfortunately isn't the patch that those people are waiting on.

In truth, it's probably going to take CD Projekt Red a little more time to nail down what's causing these technical troubles.

Indeed, in the case of PS5 Pro, no one seems to know what's going on. Some players say the remaster is buttery smooth, while others claim that it's a bit of a mess.

Still, it's clear that the developer's diving straight in — it says that it's already investigating a number of issues reported through its technical support portal.
