@Steel76 I’d not count on that as the tracking system should be different therefore developer will need to update every game to work with PSVR2.

But given the latest Sony communication debacle I wouldn’t freak out if PSVR2 still has lights for tracking. Not that would be cool but they mislead so much that I do expect everything from Sony.

@Gilvin no, you’re wrong the EU law requires that your subscription / online service to be valid in every EU country. They made this change along with free roaming, indeed, few years ago my Netflix UK account switched to the Italian service when I was at my parents’ during the holidays. Till last year it hasn’t done that and to browse the Italian catalogue I had to change country in my account settings. Now I’m curious to see they have changed that given that UK is no longer EU.

Unless they make clear they have the approach of old gen games to PC and never day and date of current gen, I do not like that. Just because it seems like a slowly death from 1000 cuts for when they will do date and date and therefore stop designing games based on console hardware only.

@Loftimus do you know that US prices are without VAT and any local tax when European prices always include VAT and any tax? So while the US games will end to be cheaper anyway, the difference could be minimal in some cases.

@torne honestly, I think if a poor developed game like Skyrim can manage to have free movements with moves any game can do it.

However, I’d rather see that differently as apparently RE7 was developed for PSVR only as Sony gave 5mil to Capcom. Maybe they have done the same with I/O.

@torne I believe you need a DS4 for some (probably the major part of them) not all the games. I only tested Wipeout (as despite hating driving games, I love that game in VR) and the dualsense works fine. I think HITMAN will use Move, at least I hope so, I can only accept RE7 with DS4 only

Can anybody help me? I removed a couple of icons/apps in my PS5 home screens, apps like explore, remote play and music. How can I get them back? I see that I can’t get access to DS soundtrack in any way

I believe they will make face plates and controller as limited edition. Only for some special occasion they will make whole limited console editions.

Sony will make more money in this way. I’d buy 3 or 4 special editions face plates instead of ZERO special edition consoles.

My impression is that isn’t true that Sony is neglecting Japan. It’s just that they seem thinking the World revolves around USA and PlayStation biggest market Europe is like a second class place.

Aside this little sad rant: guys I heard of issues with external hdd, like when you put the PS5 on stand by / sleep mode, it’s like unplugging the HDD without ejecting it and so you need to rebuild the database. Is that true?

Did anyone in the UK get an update on the PSVR adapter for PS5?
I have some concerns about my request as the confirmation email reads “We will contact you again about the status of your request. If granted, shipments are expected to begin around mid-November 2020.“ but so far, no updates.

Because here in the UK PS5 launches on the 19th, is it worth to wait one week to avoid spoiling the first impression? Would you recommend to start playing it on a PS4 Slim and then beat it on a PS5?

Can you plug and play your PS4 external hdd/ssd? Can you test performances of PS4 games on different type of external drive? Can you test speed of moving games from and to every type of external drive? Finally, can you see if it reads current NVMe as storage?

Man, I still don’t know if to buy the PS4 digital version and update to the PS5 version. I don’t even know if to buy disc or digital. I only know that the PS4 version will be available a week before the PS5 one.
I don’t want to spoil the PS5 experience by playing the PS4 beforehand...but I can’t wait to play it. I’m already avoiding new images and videos. Including the one in this page

@SLEEVExOFxWIZARD mate, I think that these sticks are as prone to torn and uncomfortable as the DS4 ones. I suspect that the PS4 thumb pads won’t fit as no manufacturer is advertising as PS5 / Dual Sense compatible. But maybe and hopefully I’m wrong.

I’m a bit upset by the fact that back buttons won’t work. I love them even as simple replacement for l3 and r3

If WiFi6 delivers high speed transfer over a stable interferences free connection, PSVR2 will be wireless. 3 to 6 hours of battery life, and coupled with new move controllers, a new aim controller with haptic feedback and triggers. I’d also except to see haptic gears like vests.

@koffing you’re right as they should detail what next gen upgrade means. If it’s new enemy AI and physics it will be like a full new game not just a patch. A patch means new assets updated by a batch tool or very few people.

Are we sure that’s a good thing? If a next gen game has next gen features it’s a different game and means that someone has done some extra work.
NBA2K promises new features and if you also take in consideration that even player’s models can’t be improved with a scalable solution like you’d do with rocks and trees why we should expect a different game for free?
However this whole thing can go on for a year or two, after there won’t be any cross gen game.
Putting the public opinion against developers won’t bring any good. Does every PS4 and XBOX game have a patch for Pro and X? No, so expect many developers to ditch next gen versions of their games altogether if the angry mob starts moaning and making online threats

Two questions:
1) how long takes for an unskilled player to beat it? Can he make it in 4/5 small sessions in time for GoT day?
2) is the cost of the deluxe edition worth for someone who will beat it once only? Does upgrade your skills faster makes the game better?

yes, indeed, and probably the VR wireless preachers are the ones who don't like PS4 controller's battery life. Unfortunately too many people live to complain and cry. Without they'd feel like lifeless. And let's be frank these are the same ones who will never buy a VR headset.

Please, stop asking for a wireless VR. As of today there is no tech to deliver great graphics to a wireless headset. The Oculus quest? it's a mobile! NO more or less than a mobile, indeed, Half-life won't be playable wireless. HDMI wireless solutions? They have a latency of almost a second to deliver simple powerpoint presentations, try to imagine how that would work with your moments in a VR videogame.

do you want to improve immersion? Ask for treadmills, mats and other solutions to track your movements.

mates, the point is always the time you have. I was a Firewall Zero Hour junkie till one day decided to try Nioh and as am really bad at such kind of games have been spending a whole month to reach the giant frog - but I also grind and do every side mission - and since then stopped playing PES2020 games.
I'd like also to try Borderlands collection and Sniper Elite 4 and why not see how baseball is by playing The Show but haven't enough time and skills to do everything.

I'm not the kind of person who loves trying a game for a little while and then move to another one.

I don't think the light bar has gone, but it's the side of the touchscreen that may cover that feature. It could be like some mobile edge screen.

I believe they should copy the gamepass feature of day one games but for VR games only. This will make me to subscribe for years in advance.
