Rockstar don’t care about anything other than Rockstar. Yes they are a business so it’s obviously all about the money as per any business but they clearly have zero concern for customer satisfaction. Hence no new GTA game release on Ps4 and a new release again of GTA V on Ps5, the focus on online and the no RDR2 Ps5 upgrade. I’ll play their new games of course, but if they ever drop off I’ll abandon them like stale pizza

@EJ11 FYI the slim version of the Ps4 was just a tick over 3 years after when the Ps4 was released. So by that measure it won’t be out till the start of 2024. Though I doubt they’d want to miss the Christmas rush so probs Christmas 2023 perhaps. But due to the shortages I wouldn’t be surprised if this time the wait is longer for the slim and the pro. They were both released almost at the same time for Ps4. And I hear shortages are expected into 2023

I really hope the series isn’t killed because of the stupid mistakes of the person in charge made regarding the direction of this game. Because they were horrible but the game as an IP is awesome

The disappointing performance is due to the absolute bonehead move of having no main protagonist. Everyone I’m hearing is saying that’s the major reason it sucks and it was near impossible to connect with the story on an emotional level

As long as all this ***** is sorted out by the time the pro model comes out it won’t even affect me as I have a launch Ps5 and will update only when a significantly better version is released. Presuming they do make one, which I’d say they will. Wonder with the delays if it will be longer than 3 years after launch this time

@NEStalgia seeing as though the changes have been made because the parts they want aren’t available so they’ve had to make a workaround with some new components I’d say it’s more likely it’s the new adopters who will get a slightly inferior product. Keen as to see for sure tho. Speculation ain’t ***** after all

@zupertramp exactly. Definitely warrants a comparison test. Personally I hope there’s no difference between the two models and even if there is I reckon it would only be a couple of percent. But you never know, that’s why knowledge is power and all that jazz 👌

My sneaking suspicion is there could possibly be a slight reduction in quality and therefore performance with the new model. Maybe not, but workarounds because of parts shortages don’t lend to anything but

I’d be interested to see a side by side technical performance comparison of the two units. Frame rates, load times etc. Hopefully someone puts one up on YouTube. Or the good folks at Push Square do one

@Halucigens my favourite part from it, expanding on what I said about the soundtrack was the whole feel of the game. Out of all the GTA games San Andreas was the most on point and the most entertaining if you allow a handicap for it’s age. Pound for pound no other GTA is even close

If multiplayer has to be done this is exactly how it should be. A single player game which is all about single player with a multiplayer mode/s launched much after and not taking the focus off what it is about

Nahhhh. New games only man. No time for remasters and replays. In it’s day it was tha bomb for sure! And that soundtrack is seriously mint as, probably the best ever imo

Here we are more than 8 months after it’s release, yes you read correctly 8 months, and it’s still not fixed nor is there a next gen version released! @Northern_munkey anyone can clearly see gamepass is miles ahead of ps plus. It’s not even debatable. No I don’t own both either, I own a Ps5. I am just living in reality when I compare what you get from gamepass vs what you get from ps plus

It needs to be mirroring/improving on Xbox game pass. So better “free” games including brand new games. Also online multiplayer needs to be free. Stop making payment largely about multiplayer because huge amounts of people aren’t interested in it at all, me being one of them

@HeroYoshiko the whole experience of the game feels amazing and next gen. Which is crazy because it’s only a remaster. A brilliant one, but one nonetheless. When the Ps5 truly ripens 3+ years after release it’s going to be a true beast. I’ll have to take your word on the 3D audio though as I don’t do headphones, not when I’ve got a $1800 plus Samsung Harmon/Kardon 7.1.4 soundbar with rear surround speakers lol. Everything always sounds amazing on that anyway 😊
