@Integrity lmao me and the wife just went to Rottnest about a month ago. Haven’t been for years though. That’s one places that’s pretty expensive if you stay over night though. Prices aren’t bad here but cos it’s an island away from everything you pay a premium. Not too bad if you just have a day over there tho. Lmao now would be the time for it’s the vax mandates for unvaccinated workers not being allowed to be employed in 75% of industries has just kicked in. And there’s always a few ***** who’d rather throw in their job than do the right thing and get vaccinated

@Integrity well those prices I mention are in store prices for pre orders at 2 retailers here.I usually shop in store. Amazon can be cheaper at times though as for Black Friday I got returnal $50 delivered (26.88 pounds). As I said another (EB games) will price match those prices. Only the in store prices though, not Amazon.
AC Valhalla is $39 here atm or 20.96 pounds. Riders republic is $49 or 26.34 pound. Far cry 6 is $46 or 24.73 pounds

@Integrity well I was born there mate, but been here since I was a lil kid. Games aren’t expensive here though? I play Ps5 btw. Horizon and gran turismo for example is $108 AUD or 58 quid and they’re the more expensive ones as most full priced AAA games you can get for just under 43 quid ($79 AUD) brand new. Is that expensive compared to you guys?
(Those prices are from the cheapest retailer. There’s a couple that do them prices and we have other stores that will price match those prices)

Best game released this year I played for sure. Not “really” a game of the year type game as it felt short and the story rushed plus a few other minor things here and there but in a launch year it’s expected as it’s never the year for the more “beefier” games to be released. That said I absolutely loved it and it was the best game I played so. Great to see it return to its roots in an updated manner. A very solid 8/10, maybe 8.5 👌

@Integrity I don’t go on holiday and I live in Western Australia. We’ve had an outbreak here atm, like 4 cases and have to wear masks. But we’ve had closed borders (including from all the other states) etc and only had a couple of short lockdowns and only had to wear masks like 3 times, maybe 4 for like a week or so each time. Got a great govt. over here mate, we basically don’t know what covid is. Even had our Aussie rules football grand final in my state at the end of September which was sold out with 61,000 plus in attendance and pubs and clubs etc have been open for 90% of the time covid has been around

@Integrity that’s why I don’t watch the news or follow any news pages anywhere. Nor do I read comments from people who do watch/follow the news. There’s nothing gained from it. And fear and outrage are number one and two in how to get peoples attention and attention equals watches and watches adverts. Which is what it’s all about. The battle to get our attention so we watch ads. Also it’s amazing my life has barely if at all changed from pre covid not paying any attention to the news

@Integrity exactly. 9 or 10/10 means near perfect and perfect. No way is Deathloop anywhere close to near perfect, even if you did love it. If you review objectively that is. Fun doesn’t equal greatness without the sum of all its parts sharing excellence

A game self confessed as being buggy and has tedious gameplay yet it’s your game of the year? Sounds like you like the 360 version mate
Ps I agree with you about the tedium and gameplay. It was a horrible version on Ps5. I’d never played it before and I LOVE detective/mystery games similar to this, but on Ps5 it was just bad. Dated, played (there’s that tedious gameplay) and looked very much like a 360 game which on a Ps5 version is unacceptable. I kept going for as long as I could but it just was bad. Oh and that audio…yikes. Noises were SUPER loud and dialogue was quiet as a mouse to the point you couldn’t understand it or when you could you only barely could when there was noises and talking at the same time. And that’s on my super expensive surround sound soundbar setup that is excellent on every game I’ve ever played. For me it’s a 5/10. And I’m being generous

@Korgon you’re 100% with your reasoning there I reckon. A game like Elden ring is easy 3 months after launch to play imo. To get as close to the complete experience that is. Even Horizon I’ll still wait a month minimum and then see how the reviews say it’s going till I decide when to buy it. Can’t remember the last AAA big budget game I played that was in top shape on launch. Certainly wasn’t on Ps5 that’s for sure
