@Olliemar28 yehhh, that’s also a deal breaker. You can have great graphics but slow frame rate. Or high framer rate but Ps4 style graphics. Not what I bought a Ps5 for. I can wait till that’s fixed or for games that don’t do that
Was reading an article about how these games were actually made from the mobile versions of the game. They say this not just because they are absolutely horrible remasters with questionable at best detail but because they actually forgot to take out the mobile controls from the code! There’s screen caps taken by someone who activated the widget for the on screen pop up showing: select steering method and the on screen list of all the controls for that. It’s the same control scheme as on the mobile game (the touch control scheme). Makes sense why it’s so tacky now
@DiddyWahDiddy it really shines on anything Mexican but is also great on anything you’d put hotsauce on. Glad I tried it on a whim when I saw it on ebay. I’m in Australia and it’s not on any shelves anywhere over here
This morning I had three pieces of buttered multigrain toast with a fried sunny side up egg on two of them and two large pieces of streaky bacon on the other piece. I had Valentina hotsauce on the eggs and HP sauce on the bacon 👌
@Texan_Survivor there’s always a silver lining. As I said 3 months for excellent dev’s and 6 months for the rest (not to mention longer for broken messes like Fallout 76, Cyberpunk etc) and in that time the price will also drop while the games will be actually finished. I just see an opportunity to get games for cheap and avoid ever paying full price again. I’ll have to wait, but I don’t mind cos in reality I have no choice cos I can’t do half baked games anyway and I’ll turn that into a financial win and I’ll laugh at everyone who buys day one 👌
@Texan_Survivor you got it. I won’t buy a game till at least 3 months after release, and up to 6 (12 and counting for Cyberpunk lol) Even for Sony exclusives. Even if it’s pretty damn close like Sony’s games usually always are, you’re not getting the full experience still and you’re paying full price too. Wait, months
Imagine buying this day one and paying full price for a sub par game that hadn’t even been optimised yet. Even when it’s optimised it ain’t gunna be all that but I mean Jesus…look at all those notes…with more to come.
Didn’t even have clouds 😂😂😂
bUt I sTiLL eNjOyEd It
@Victor_Meldrew yeh it’s got a better, faster chip in it and a redesigned controller. Turns on and is ready to use in 6-7 seconds and when you click on a show it loads and plays in I’d say 2 seconds
I just use the new version of the 4K Apple TV. Even though I paid 3 grand for my tv the interface is sweet as and so quick plus it turns on instantly 👌
This game is super dope but knowing CDPR again as I said before this will require months of optimisation after it’s launched on Ps5 anyway. Par for the course these days
I don’t believe a thing they say. But even if it is true we all know it won’t be rtg, it’ll require months of optimisation till you get the full experience
@EVIL-C the absolute state other companies release games in these days is my main reading for that. But nah, I like what I like and thats what I like so f**k it and anything that falls outside of that. Zero f**ks here mate
@ChrisDeku for a Sony exclusive that’s low. If it even gets that high. It had chugged to just over a half million units a few months ago. Best way to tell if it’s an actual success though is if it gets a sequel. Anything even remotely successful gets a sequel and when it comes to Sony exclusives only the unsuccessful ones do not. If it doesn’t, there’s your answer. My guess is it will not
@RS1 it wasn’t the difficulty for me. I mean, it was definitely challenging but it wasn’t “too hard”. It was more the style of game. Reminded me of a more polished version of Outriders, which I also hated. And the game felt like and was mostly playing in a series of small rooms and corridors. It had no scale. It also felt like the enemies were an updated throwback to old school arcade enemies. Not as a diss of their AI I mean like how they fire in repeating pulse waves of slow moving energy balls. Like how bullets used to be in games like Contra 3 on SNES for example. Wasn’t a fan of their being no clear mission other than working out what the f**k was going on either. Just wasn’t for me
@RS1 it’s also not selling well at all either. When other Ps5 exclusives have absolutely smashed it sales wise and there’s very limited competition because there’s not even that many other Ps5 games out atm
Been hearing that for over a year. Still haven’t even got round to releasing it on current gen or adding in all the missing small details like interactions with the environment, Npc and police behaviour not being as limited as they were in the Ps2 era, the weird driving and crash mechanics etc etc etc. Hearing a lot of talk not seeing much results….an entire year later. So excuse me if I say they are full of crap. To be honest even if they did all that, EVENTUALLY, would it even make up for the straight up deception and lies prior to its release? No. Making a game what it should have been on launch 1-2 years later is worthy of jeers, not cheers
Just playing it now on Ps5 as I bought it at a 25% Black Friday discount….mannnnn it’s not good. The sound is absolutely HORRIBLE (I have a REALLY expensive top of the range Samsung and Harmon Kardon soundbar with sub and rear speakers) Background noises are loud af. Like the background world noise literally sounds as loud as a hurricane at the start but the voice work is quiet as. You can turn down the background noises in the menu and it does remedy that, but then it creates another problem where the quality of the sound is greatly diminished and sounds so basic. Like tv speaker basic. As mentioned the combat is also really quite bad and repetitive too. The graphics aren’t at all good either. Apparently it’s a graphical upgrade from the 360 version, I mean I don’t know cos I never played it, but it’s pretty damn lame if it is as it still looks like a 360 game. And btw I love these types of games too. The basically story based with only moderate combat and interaction with the world, detective style games which is why I even bought this game as I’m not a remaster fan but since I never played the original it’s “new” for me. Shouldn’t have bothered though as it’s basically hot garbage. Luckily I’m able to get a no questions asked refund by the retailer I purchased it from. If you’re going to do a remaster make it great and up to scratch quality-wise with todays games or don’t bother because when you release a game now it’s judged (and rightly so) by todays standards. You don’t get to release it and get a pass because it was originally released years ago, it has to stack up current day too. It’s a 360 game with a Ps5 logo tacked onto the game case for appearance sake. 5/10, Horrible
Uncharted with Nathan Drake is soooo much better than without! Uncharted 4 is a masterpiece.
Also it’s HIGHLY, HIGHLY suspicious there’s been minimal details released prior to release. I hope I am wrong. Obviously only a fool preorders games these days but I’ll be interested to see what it is post launch. Here’s hoping there’s a free/cheap upgrade path and it’s actually awesome and 99% bug free
As close to zero as possible without it being actually zero. When they pop up I look and go hmm, and I like that I’ve got more than all the people on my friends list, other than that bupkis. And I snigger at so called “trophy hunters” tbh and whenever I hear people saying they are I picture Jim Carey from Ace Ventura saying “Loo-hoo-ser-her” haha
Yeh well they’ll probably be able to dupe some more people into buying it because it had a rep for being cool back in the day. Even though it’s certainly not a standout any more. A fool and his money are soon parted and all that jazz 🤷🏻♂️
My thoughts on the Ps5 are simple and somewhat obvious. A console is only as good as how good it’s games are and how many of those games there are. Always slow in a launch year of course but so far it’s a 6/10, and I feel I’m being generous tbh. I have high expectations for it as it continues to ripen though that said. As it’s still early, half way through the first quarter early and it’s final grade will be at its end not now. If at its end it’s an 8/10 I’d be surprised as with Sony overall they’re usually 9+
That’s what happens when you prioritise money (GTA online) over your customers by doling it out to a sub par company to do it for you. A total bonehead move. Whoever made that decision needs a Gibbs slap to the back of the head
@Logonogo I’m talking about Black Friday, now. And I’m not talking about dollar bin games. Clearly the games I mentioned were all new/ish and still expensive and a hell of a lot cheaper than on the PS store. Everybody knows when games are old as PS gives em away for nothing cos no one’s buying them and new games are many times more expensive than physical
@avividan yeh I agree with you somewhat. Games like those are mostly complete and only require minor tweaks post launch. There’s always exceptions to any “rule” 👌
@captainsandman I mean it’s fairly obvious stuff isn’t it mate. This page is absolutely full of people who justify less than optimal decisions with nonsense arguments that make zero sense. That guy is just one of em but it’s early lol. Wait for more to appear haha. A definite case of doth protest too much, methinks 😉
Nice try Sony but I can get physical copies of those games also on sale for WAY cheaper. And when I’m done with them I can then sell them bringing the overall cost to me down even further. I just got Returnal for $36 USD (50 AUD) and Deathloop for $28 USD ($39 AUD). When I trade them in I’ll have paid probably half what you’re charging just for one of those games. Probs might even get Yakuza like a dragon on Ps5 cos it’s slightly cheaper than the price I paid for Deathloop. I mean, do your thing and prey on those easily parted from their money but you won’t get me 😉
