@Feena Thanks for the info! I'm also a super-fan. Valkyria Chronicles is probably my favorite PS3 game. So tempted to also grab it, but I seem to be playing an awful lot of remasters!

Is there any reason to buy this if you have the original?

Just got Twilight Princess and while its got very little new, the graphical upgrade is really worth it. Unfortunately I don't see Valkyria Chronicles as more of a re-release than a remaster.

Its a brilliant game though, one of my favorites, so the obsessive collector in me kind of wants it anyway.

This sounds great. The DS4 battery life is an embarrasment.

With these prices I can only assume that VR manufacturers have enough funding to sell limited quantities and get through to version 2 or 3, which will be the true retail versions.

If Playstation VR launches at $500 I recon its not going beyond a curiosity this generation.

@Matroska Interesting. I don't play many open world games, some earlier ones like Infamous really turned me off. But I'm heavily into Xenoblade Chronicles X right now, so my idea of a big map might be a little skewed

So I've only been to NY once but i seem to recall midtown being a pretty confined area. Will they let you go into most of the buildings?

Glad to see resident evil get a little love even if it is the vita version. I really loved that, possibly the most fun I had on ps4 this year.

I'm a bit surprised that Resident Evil Revelations 2 has not come up in any best of the year lists that I've seen. It was a real highlight of my year anyway.

The biggest problem I had with MGS5 us that it actually had a pretty incredible narrative, but that narrative was literally hidden from the player.

I felt that both previous titles suffered terribly from repetition. City waymore do than Asylum. Even the popular combat system lost all its fun for me at around the 2/3 mark in both games. Everything I've heard makes me think this will be much worse in Knight, but its aplearance on these goty lists is making me more interested.

I'm surprised to say that I think Resident Evil Revelations 2 was my most enjoyed PS4 game this year. I really got into that, even slogging through half of it again because of getting the bad ending first time round.

I'm very excited to see the positive comments about Batman. I've actually been avoiding it because of comments I keep seeing. Been planning to pick it up next year after a nice price drop. Something to look forward to.

There seem to be a lot of arguments and justifications happening here.

But I think its a bit simpler than all of that makes it seem. These prices are too high for most people for these games. For most people these games need to be priced in impulse buy territory.

5 games does not equal incredible. I'm not convinced it equals adequate. Maybe with your additionally listed games it could be adequate.

Could i get a discounted version without a share button? I've used it less than the AR demo on the 3DS.

Which is to say never, other than to be incredibly irritated when i press it by mistake.

@gingerfrog that price is ridiculous. What makes it evenmore ridiculous is that there is cross save, but no cross buy. So to use that feature you'll have to pay twice!

I absolutely disagree that battery life requires an premium model. What a ridiculous thing to say. Its shocking to me how poor the battery is on the DS4. The DS3 was a wonder when it came to battery life and the 40 steps back that Sony took in this area this generation should leave Sony thoroughly embarrassed.

I finally finished the game a few days ago. I must say I did not think it was phenomenal, outside of being a phenomenal mess.

That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, especially the first half, but ultimately I enjoyed it less than any other Metal Gear Solid. And that's a shame, because the things that are good about it are really great. It just goes so wrong in so many places. Its like they had all the pieces of a phenomenal game and just threw them together without any concern for how detached it would all be.

I had bad flu and spent 2 days playing Phantom Pain on Vita in bed. Its amazing!

@get2sammyb - sorry, very badly asked question! I guess what was in my head is that I was wondering if its adjustable for different eyesight. So it doesn't rely on your focal distance being in a specific range, but can accommodate both near and far sighted folks.

Or something like that that would mean that if you wear glasses, you should wear glasses

Loved this on 3DS. By far my favourite Renegade Kid game. But for some reason I imagine that it would be best on 3DS. It works well as a protable game an dthe 3D really looks great.

I'm so interested in this series, but padding and grinding are huge turn offs for me.
