@OhYeahNahYeah naw man you need to get over it, I NEVER said the dual sense was a bad controller NOR did I say I thought the DS4 was a better controller. I believe the new dual sense controller is the perfect upgrade to the controller & is filled with amazing technological improvements! I only said my ONLY concern was the size of the controller which I also said I won't know for sure how it'll effect things until I have it in my hands. The dual shock 4 is my favorite gaming controller of ALL time, for me personally it's perfect. I do NOT like what I've seen with the dual sense so far, it literally looks like a Xbox controller with PlayStation buttons on it which is a shame because like I said I felt the DS4 was perfect for me personally. As far as compatibility goes, it'd be nice to see the DS4 live on as a legacy controller that works with the 4000 plus PS4 titles that'll be playable on PS4 thanks to backwards compatibility. As for the dual sense controller I'm remaining cautiously optimistic as I have faith in Sony's ability to improve on previous designs. I will need to play multiple games for hours on end before I can make a proper assessment of it being 'better' than the dual shock 4.. happy gaming!
Just finished watching the Microsoft XSX event & while there were some nice gems, the overall feeling I got was lackluster. Now I'm not here to bash Xbox fans or anything of the sort, (I've owned every single Xbox to play certain games) I just think MS missed the mark. The PlayStation showcase from June was the caliber of show I was expecting from MS but it just paled in comparison. I'm ecstatic for the next generation of consoles, I'm blown away by everything I've seen from Sony PlayStation thus far and I was hoping for MS to wow me in the same way but they haven't yet. I hope as the summer drags on we will see MS show us why every damn tech website claims XSX the superior console, I haven't seen proof of that yet (I also don't believe it to be true as a slightly more powerful GPU won't make the gap as big as people claim). I have spent many hours gliding through the big apple as Spidey & it looks absolutely gorgeous on my 43inch 4K TV running on my PS4 pro at just 30 fps! In my day to day experience there's been very few hiccups as insomniac optimized the game fantastically on PS4 pro. I'm extremely excited to play it in 4K on PS5 however I'd be happy with it running at 2K or 4K upscaled with a steady non hiccuping 60 fps. I hope they give the option to run it at different settings where you can like 4K 60fps or 4K 30fps depending on what's better for your setup! Happy gaming my friends 😉✌️

In the past week I've come across 3 articles where the write sits there and claims Microsoft has positioned themselves as the console to beat in the upcoming generation (I don't see how?) but yeah man I'm surprised at how many stores there are that reads this way.
Super stoked to see an update version of the PlayStation camera! The PS4 version was unprecedented for it's time as it allowed for quality streaming but most importantly it became essential for the brilliant PSVR headset. They way Sony has thoroughly updated the camera makes me hopeful for updated PSVR2 headsets! To think about the possibilities for a PSVR2 on PlayStation 5 has me extremely excited because devs would no longer be stuck with dated PS4 hardware they can make VR games that rivals what's being done with the exclusive (expensive) PC only Oculus VR headsets. Words can't describe how excited I am for PlayStation 5! Happy gaming my friends 😉✌️
I actually applaud Sony for thinking outside the box with the PlayStation 5. it sure looks sexier than the PC tower that is the XSX lol. also Sony has designed the PS5 with powerful hardware so they needed the design of the console to be more than efficient when it comes to cooling. my PS4 pro console gets really warm, when it does the fans kick into overdrive & while it's not as loud as the first gen PS4 pro consoles it is louder than my wife's PS4 slim. I think Sony wanted a design that was unorthodox but most importantly it keeps the internals running much cooler than previous generations, this is a good thing as you won't have to worry about overheating issues. happy gaming my friends!
I'm just blown away at the quality of games shown off in the PS5 presentation! It's a breath of fresh air seeing games that are innovative to say the least. I've said ALL along & will continue to say, GAMES are what sells consoles and the PlayStation 5 has GAMES!! It's literally UNREAL seeing my dreams come true with a PS5 console reveal, a demon's souls remake, Horizon 2, Spiderman miles Morales & hitman 3 all in one sitting! LMAO Sony has made me feel like a giddy kid who's parents told em they're going to Disneyland in the morning haha I'm ecstatic to say the least! Happy gaming my friends 😉✌️
I don't believe this 'leak' one bit, Sony has deliberately specified that their SSD will ship at 825GB (I'm guessing it'll be 1TB with a usable storage amount of 825GB for games). I feel like Sony is going to release the PS5 at a respectable $499 simply because they can't really afford to ship it at a lower or higher price than that. If they shipped lower than $499 they'd be hemorrhaging money while if they shipped higher than $499 they'd shoot themselves in the foot as Microsoft is looking to undercut them, so to play it safe I believe Sony will want to lock in the $499 price tag, maybe if we're lucky we could see it ship at $449 but I have faith Sony knows what they're doing! there's absolutely nothing wrong with 1080P 30fps for the reveal. this is coming from a guy who owns two 4K TVs and two 1080P TVs. while I'll admit my PS4 pro looks much better on my 4K TVs with HDR I can still appreciate the reasoning behind Sony's 1080P 30fps reveal, it's obvious with all the internet throttling that it would've been hell for them to produce all this content in 4K.. I'm just happy we finally get to see the PS5 in action (so to speak) running games we've been dreaming about for the better part of two years now lol happy gaming my friends 😉✌️
So I just finished playing through the entire uncharted collection which was amazing! The games look great on PS4 pro especially uncharted 2/3. I was surprised at how well the gameplay holds up over the years! Next up on my list is uncharted 4 which is a game I beat when it first came out but I didn't really EXPLORE the world as much as I would've liked. I'm excited to play that one again! Also high on replay value for me is warzone. I know it's a BR game but my wife recently started playing with me & it's become such an amazing way to connect with friends online during these long lockdown days! While I'm ALL for fighting against inequality, I'm extremely disappointed that infinity ward has delayed season 4. I think it's a huge disservice to the millions of us stuck at home due to covid-19. I know the news doesn't show it but millions of people are still isolating at home with nothing to do. Games help my wife and I cope with the chaos of the world & the content helps keep us content. what's happened is a horrible miscarriage of Justice, the protests are welcome and expected but I don't condone the violent riots/looting that's happening across the nation. While I completely understand their decision, I am incredibly bummed out as I've been looking forward to this event to give me some much needed positive content to consume. @GADG3Tx87 I know man it's absolutely horrifying how much false information is being spread about PlayStation 5! the PS5 will be able to play almost ALL of the thousands of PS4 games as Cerny himself said they worked with AMD to make sure the PS5 was backwards compatible. I just read an awful news article who credits '4chan' as their source this is their claims. "As for the alleged cons, the PS5-related post states that third-party games will perform over 30% “better” on the Xbox Series X, with the PlayStation's unstable CPU and GPU clock rates being partially to blame for lagging behind its rival. Along with that bad news, apparently the PS5 design is not particularly special either, with the poster claiming that it is “ugly” and that the box is “huge”. Lastly, the Xbox Series X has over 40% better ray-tracing performance than the PS5. It doesn’t seem like a good start for Sony’s next-gen console here…" I am sick of stuff like this coming out. we know this is absolutely not the case as MANY developers as praising the PS5 left & right for it's immense power combined with excellent SSD data transfer rates for a console that maybe the BEST all around console ever created. words can't describe how excited I am for Sony PlayStation 5! happy gaming

We're going to see some amazing games but for me personally I LOVE hearing the developers of said games swooning over how much they love working/developing with the PlayStation 5! Sony has played it's card close to it's chest, I think it's paying off for them. We know everything there is to know about XSX so when it comes to PS5 we have this feeling of mystique that's driving articles to be written about every little drop of information that comes out. It's been frustrating at times because I want/need to know everything there is to know about Sony's upcoming system but at the same time that mystery makes events like this upcoming one all the more reason to be HYPED about lol happy gaming!
There's literally nothing to freak out about. Sony has developed the PS5 from the ground up knowing full well they wanted backwards compatibility the the PS4. Mark Cerny specifically said that the 100 most popular games would be playable at launch, what wasn't said was that almost all PS4 games will be supportes because the PS5 architecture was designed by Sony & AMD together, the BOTH have said they designed it in a way that the PS5 will be able to play PS4 games simply because the architecture allows it. The only issue is for games that aren't optimized for PS4 pro as they may have issues with the faster CPU, even so Cerny told everyone that after an update most of the PS4 catalog would be available for PS5! I have faith Sony know exactly what they're doing. They're not going to let Microsoft steal their thunder! Happy gaming!
I already own COD WW2 but this is good as it'll expand the servers in zombies! WW2 Nazi zombies is the BEST call of duty zombies experience since the original black ops! The zombies mode goes back to basics, has awesome maps with interesting Easter eggs plus it really pays to be a team player which is awesome! Can't wait to see what the next game will be, happy gaming!

I'm a huge fan of sucker punch, having beaten ALL the infamous games & their DLC. it looks like sucker punch has worked diligently to bring everything they've learned over the years into ghost of Tsushima. the combat looks incredible, the world they've designed is gorgeous & everything looks to smooth AF lol can't wait to play this game! happy gaming my friends 😉💨✌️
@Flow297 I highly doubt this is the case, the DEV kit was a wildly different design that what ended up being the XSX box so I think Sony Is going with an updated version of the PS4 pro with more venting (possibly the V shape) to help with cooling efficiency. MS literally designed a mini PC tower with the XSX box lol
@JJ2 I thoroughly enjoyed his talk, everything he detailed was aimed at DEVS as well as people who have an understanding of how computer components work. That being said, everyone threw a fit calling it a 'fail' but it was actually planned for GDC to show DEVS they've built a console with them in mind. I think Sony will come out guns blazing in the 6 months leading up to the PS5 launch.
@JJ2 I see that ALL the time now! All the tech media sites say xsx has superiority to the PS5 because of the 12TFLOPS compared to the 9TFLOPS on PS5?! It's absolutely ridiculous, the PS5 has theoretical peak GPU performance of 10.28TFLOPS (nothing to sneeze at) but even mark Cerny specifically specified that when you combine the SSD with it's special scrubbers along with it's raw speed (that's literally twice that of XSX) comparing the 12 TFLOPS the 10.28 TFLOPS is pointless as it's not indicative of the overall performance of the PS5. Even before the amazing unreal demo, many 3rd party devs have raved about how phenomenal the PS5 is & that Sony has created a console that's been performance optimized to create the BEST games of next generation. I have faith in Sony, they've ALWAYS created consoles that deliver some of the BEST gaming experiences ever created. Happy gaming my friend ✌️
Sony will FOREVER has a special place in my heart! I got my first PlayStation console at age 5 in 1996, from there on I've bought Sony products. After the PS2 came out (it was my family's first DVD player) I got my first MP3 devices in the early 2000's. It was a Sony Walkman branded device that took these itty bitty square discs that could hold hundreds of songs on. It was awesome! Then came the PSP which was an incredible portable gaming device! I remember playing Tony Hawks pro skater & Grand Theft Auto while on a family camping trip in the middle of no where, it was an amazing experience! Then came the PlayStation 3 in 2006, I was 14 years old! The PS3 with it's Blu-ray drive also ushered in my first experience with high definition televisions. I bought a 40inch Sony Bravia LCD HDTV with DLNA strictly for HD gaming with my PS3! Sony build their Bravia lines with the PS3 in mind as my TV recognized my PS3 so every time I turned on my PS3 my Sony TV would turn on automatically, switch to the right HDMI & offered excellent adjustability to make games look their BEST! My next Sony device was the PlayStation Vita which was a brilliant device for it's time in 2012. I believe Sony missed their opportunity to make people fall in love with the device as it lacked developers but there were some great Vita games! Borderlands 2, Uncharted & gravity rush we fine Vita games but what REALLY made me love the vita was cross-play. It worked okay on PS3 but when I got my PS4 in 2013 it was amazing to play assassin's Creed 4 black flag while watching Netflix with my girlfriend lol. Speaking of PS4 it's becoming my favorite gaming console of all time! It's given me such rich experiences that have finally surpassed what was given to me in the PS3 era. I purchased a PS4 pro along with a 4K TV in 2018 & it's been a phenomenal experience playing games like God of War in stunning ultra HD quality! Simply put Sony has been a huge part of my life when in come to entertainment & technology! I can't wait to see what the PS5 will bring to the table! Happy gaming!
I feel like 50GB is a modest size now a days. I pretty much buy ALL my game as downloaded simply because I own multiple PlayStations so it saves money in the long run. I have modern warfare installed at just over 100GB, Spider-Man is also quite large download, COD WW2 with DLC is another 100GB, I have the uncharted collection & uncharted 4 downloaded, assassin's Creed Odyssey & I just downloaded fallout 4 from PS now just with those titles my 1TB PS4 pro is basically full. I beat games like uncharted collection then uninstall them. I keep a few games downloaded at all times like Modern Warfare. I'd like to upgrade my HDD to a 2TB SSD but I haven't really looked into it. Can you play games off of a USB 3.0 external HDD? I've found a 2TB one for $50 that looks like a decent solution. I just barely got done installing Odyssey on my PS4 pro, haven't even started the game yet lol by the time I'm finished exploring odyssey, PS5 will have been released & Valhalla would be available!! at least I've got stuff to occupy my time, I'm almost done with uncharted 3 then I can delete the collection from my console! I'm going to start uncharted 4 hopefully beat it then move on to odyssey! happy gaming!
Sony has gone out of their way to optimize the PS5 nto be the BEST console it can possibly be. This approach had garnered a bunch of love from developers who've been working with the prototypes. I've seen developers praising the PS5 left & right for the fact it's been designed to be a console devs love to create on & XSX might have a slightly more powerful GPU but the PS5 has a SSD that is literally twice as fast as what's on XSX and from what mark Cerny & epic games has been saying PS5's SSD is going to be a huge part in loading high quality assets in the fly. From everything I've seen/read so far I am HYPED for PlayStation 5 and I can't wait until I get my day 1 console hooked up to my 4K TV lol it's coming soon!! Happy gaming my friends!
@JJ2 , the demo is fully playable, so this is not some pre-rendered footage meant to trick players. Games can feasibly look like this on next-generation systems. Sony has gone out of their way to showcase UNREAL engine 5 running in real-time on PlayStation 5 which is huge considering the pre-rendered footage we saw from Microsoft!
@Dominatso the fact that this is a fully playable demo running in real-time on the PS5 and not some pre-rendered footage (what we saw from Microsoft) I agree that Sony is showing what's feasible on the PlayStation 5. , the demo is fully playable, so this is not some pre-rendered footage meant to trick players. Games can feasibly look like this on next-generation systems.
@JonnyMack agreed 💯 percent, it's going to come down to what developers will be able to do on each console. The series X has the 'technically superior' GPU (although 1.72TF won't make a massive difference) while the PS5 has the technically superior SSD which is literally twice as fast as the series X SSD (I do imagine twice the speed making a small impact) each console has tiny things that make one better than the other but when it's ALL laid out, it'll be what developers can do with those small differences in their games. I believe first party studios on each console will make some amazing stuff that takes full advantage of each consoles capable of 👍
@phil_j they've specified that the SSD will allow for unloading many graphical assets that aren't plausible on today's HDD! This is what's going to separate the PS5 from all others, I just read an article that even PC users will have to wait for the SSD tech thats in the PS5 to be able to catch up which is saying a lot IMO 👌
Sony would rather eat the cost & launch the PS5 cheaper than the series X, I highly doubt Microsoft will be the cheaper of the 2 consoles especially considering it's got the 'superior' graphics card LMAO but seriously Sony is wise to what Microsoft is trying to do, they're going to do their BEST to make the console sub $500 (maybe $399/$449) while I think the series X will be $499. I fell in love with the first game when it came out on PS3, I got it again remastered on PS4 and beat if a couple more times over the years because I enjoyed the adventure that much! I've purposely steered clear of leaks/spoilers because I want to experience this game in ALL it's glory. I don't understand why the game has been receiving so much hate in the past few weeks but I won't dive into the nonsense! happy gaming!

I've been using PlayStation now for well over a year now and I've been enjoying the collection of games offered. It's because of PlayStation now that I was able to play the glorious adventure that is horizon zero Dawn! I've also played a few motocross games as well as some PS3 classics. The ability to stream the game to see if I like it, then the ability to download the game in it's entirety to get the full experience is well worth the $10 a month IMO 👌 I now have a even more games to look forward to lol happy gaming my friends 😉💨✌️

You have specified in great detail why a huge conglomerate like Microsoft with massive amounts of cash has failed to even crack a dent in the PS4 massive success this generation. Sony has put games first, not services, not 'one' console that does a little bit of everything (the original Xbox 'one' motto) but has focused SOLELY on providing PS4 owners with some of the BEST games ever created. They've also offered a bunch of new IP (check my response to @cybershrk) as well as reinvigorated old IP. @Cybrshrk until said exclusives come to PC they ARE the reason for owning a PS4. Horizon zero Dawn is ONLY 1 of many new IP that have come to PS4. It's ALL about the games though, I'm a gamer period. Yes I am partial to Sony PlayStation as I got my first gaming console (PSone) at age 5 in 1996. That being said I've also owned every single Xbox since the original. In this current generation I owned a xbone as well as the Xbox one x. After playing Halo, gears of War, sunset overdrive, quantum break, Forza & dead rising I sold my Xbox & have focused solely on my PlayStation 4 pro. While I enjoyed the Microsoft ecosystem (one of the best ecosystems ever, something Microsoft is really good at nailing) there just wasn't enough to keep me invested. I do believe Microsoft has knocked it out the park with their game pass, they just didn't have the quality content that PS4 had. I will most likely pick up the series x console in 2022 cuz I'm a gamer who loves games ( 2022 is when Microsoft said they'd be releasing series X exclusives). I will be picking up PS5 day one simply because Sony PlayStation has given me some of the BEST gaming memories of my entire life. The last of us is one of my favorite games of ALL time as it helped me cope with the death of my grandfather who raised me. Sony has given me games that are truly iconic in every sense of the word, they're not just 'games' they're experiences. Days Gone (new IP) was phenomenal as it's location setting was literally my backyard, horizon zero Dawn (new IP) was breathtaking, Until Dawn (new IP) played like a horror movie, Concrete Genie (new IP) was an enchanting experience, God of War 2018 was spectacular, The Order: 1886 (new IP) was a creative adventure, Bloodborne (new IP) is one of the most frustratingly awesome games I've ever played, Spiderman (new IP) was shockingly epic, infamous second son was unadulterated fun, uncharted 4 took the series to new heights, ratchet and clank was spot on like a movie, Knack (new IP) 2 was my little brother favorite game, Detroit becoming human (new IP) was a total mind F*** lol point being these games have definitely defined the PS4 era of gaming & have kept me coming back for more! We've got the last of us part 2 & ghost of tsushima coming soon which will keep me going until PS5 is released lol. Happy gaming my friends 😉💨✌️
the first game was such an amazingly beautiful experience that I beat it twice on PS3 when it first came out & then I beat it 2 more times on PS4. the game helped me cope through a rough time in my life when I lost my grandfather who raised me to leukemia. the last of us allowed me to escape into a gorgeous world that was bleek but had a glimmer of hope. it's unfortunate that it's been leaked but I know there's millions of people who were touched by the glorious story & those people would be hard pressed to let some leaks 'ruin' the experience awaiting them in the last of us part 2. happy gaming my friends 😎
Valhalla looks absolutely PERFECT! the PlayStation 5 is going to usher in a gaming revolution the likes of which consoles has never seen before! when you take into consideration that the PS5 is built from the ground up to be optimized for gaming it's even going to rival gaming PC's imo 👌
killzone shadowfall was a fantasti launch title, I enjoyed it as it really excited me to see the upgraded quality of the PS4 generation. that's being said it looks like the PS5 is going to have much better games when it launches! Sony is going to shock the world when it finally reveals the PS5 along with the launch line up! 😁👍
I had a PS4 pro back in 2016, then it got stolen so I reverted back to my PS4 slim for a few years now I've got another PS4 pro arriving in a few days (super excited BTW) so this list is incredible 😁👍

I can see living vicariously through simulators since we're ALL stuck at home but this is just too much, we deserve to have at least one AAA game for every PS PLUS offering. I've been enjoying the uncharted collection, almost done with uncharted 2 remastered! I will then complete uncharted 3 and then start the glorious adventure of uncharted 4! You are absolutely correct though, micros6hss confirmed ALL first party games will be available on PC (the most powerful 'console' of ALL) this rendering the xsx useless IMO. Back to limitless possibilities though, the original PS4 was technically capable of 1.84 TFLOP while the PS5 has a GPU capable of 10.28TFLOP we're looking at a console that's at least 5 times as powerful as PS4! I don't believe in the TFLOP bias as it isn't representative of the full picture. Based on everything Mark Cerny revealed the PS5 has been built specifically for gaming! The CPU and GPU have been thoroughly optimized to squeeze out the most potential, it's literally the reason why Cerny told the audience to look past floating operation points. Sony has delivered some of the BEST games I've ever played period! The end of the PS3 generation showed what was truly capable with the last of us. This generation brought even more amazing games. God of War, infamous second son, killzone shadowfall, Spiderman, uncharted 4, Detroit becoming human, horizon zero Dawn, days gone & final fantasy 7 remake are ALL PlayStation exclusives that have pushed the boundaries of what was thought possible. Those are the games I've personally experienced this generation that's led me to have faith in Sony & their upcoming PS5. @hkreasthull dude I'm sorry but you've been mislead, the XSX isn't a far superior console! In fact many game developers claim it's the PS5 that's the superior console. I'm Soo sick of the internet claiming xsx superiority and PS5 a failure based on nothing but antiquated TFLOP bias. Mark Cerny specifically specified that when you take the PS5 custom SSD, variable CPU and GPU into account that the performance of the PS5 shouldn't be compared with normal floating operation points as the go to standard of what's capable. People act like the PS5 GPU is far inferior due to its 10.28TFLOP theoretical peak performance vs the xsx 12TFLOP. It's ridiculous and amusing that people don't research both systems and realize the gap between the two will be less than the gap between the original PS4 & the original xbone. I believe the new dual sense controller is the perfect upgrade to the controller & is filled with amazing technological improvements! The dual shock 4 is my favorite gaming controller of ALL time, for me personally it's perfect. I do NOT like what I've seen with the dual sense so far, it literally looks like a Xbox controller with PlayStation buttons on it which is a shame because like I said I felt the DS4 was perfect for me personally. As far as compatibility goes, it'd be nice to see the DS4 live on as a legacy controller that works with the 4000 plus PS4 titles that'll be playable on PS4 thanks to backwards compatibility. As for the dual sense controller I'm remaining cautiously optimistic as I have faith in Sony's ability to improve on previous designs. I will need to play multiple games for hours on end before I can make a proper assessment of it being 'better' than the dual shock 4.. happy gaming!

Just finished watching the Microsoft XSX event & while there were some nice gems, the overall feeling I got was lackluster. Now I'm not here to bash Xbox fans or anything of the sort, (I've owned every single Xbox to play certain games) I just think MS missed the mark. The PlayStation showcase from June was the caliber of show I was expecting from MS but it just paled in comparison. I'm ecstatic for the next generation of consoles, I'm blown away by everything I've seen from Sony PlayStation thus far and I was hoping for MS to wow me in the same way but they haven't yet. I hope as the summer drags on we will see MS show us why every damn tech website claims XSX the superior console, I haven't seen proof of that yet (I also don't believe it to be true as a slightly more powerful GPU won't make the gap as big as people claim). I have spent many hours gliding through the big apple as Spidey & it looks absolutely gorgeous on my 43inch 4K TV running on my PS4 pro at just 30 fps! In my day to day experience there's been very few hiccups as insomniac optimized the game fantastically on PS4 pro. I'm extremely excited to play it in 4K on PS5 however I'd be happy with it running at 2K or 4K upscaled with a steady non hiccuping 60 fps. I hope they give the option to run it at different settings where you can like 4K 60fps or 4K 30fps depending on what's better for your setup! Happy gaming my friends 😉✌️

In the past week I've come across 3 articles where the write sits there and claims Microsoft has positioned themselves as the console to beat in the upcoming generation (I don't see how?) but yeah man I'm surprised at how many stores there are that reads this way.

Super stoked to see an update version of the PlayStation camera! The PS4 version was unprecedented for it's time as it allowed for quality streaming but most importantly it became essential for the brilliant PSVR headset. They way Sony has thoroughly updated the camera makes me hopeful for updated PSVR2 headsets! To think about the possibilities for a PSVR2 on PlayStation 5 has me extremely excited because devs would no longer be stuck with dated PS4 hardware they can make VR games that rivals what's being done with the exclusive (expensive) PC only Oculus VR headsets. I actually applaud Sony for thinking outside the box with the PlayStation 5. it sure looks sexier than the PC tower that is the XSX lol. also Sony has designed the PS5 with powerful hardware so they needed the design of the console to be more than efficient when it comes to cooling. my PS4 pro console gets really warm, when it does the fans kick into overdrive & while it's not as loud as the first gen PS4 pro consoles it is louder than my wife's PS4 slim. I think Sony wanted a design that was unorthodox but most importantly it keeps the internals running much cooler than previous generations, this is a good thing as you won't have to worry about overheating issues. happy gaming my friends!

I don't believe this 'leak' one bit, Sony has deliberately specified that their SSD will ship at 825GB (I'm guessing it'll be 1TB with a usable storage amount of 825GB for games). I feel like Sony is going to release the PS5 at a respectable $499 simply because they can't really afford to ship it at a lower or higher price than that. If they shipped lower than $499 they'd be hemorrhaging money while if they shipped higher than $499 they'd shoot themselves in the foot as Microsoft is looking to undercut them, so to play it safe I believe Sony will want to lock in the $499 price tag, maybe if we're lucky we could see it ship at $449 but I have faith Sony knows what they're doing! there's absolutely nothing wrong with 1080P 30fps for the reveal. this is coming from a guy who owns two 4K TVs and two 1080P TVs. while I'll admit my PS4 pro looks much better on my 4K TVs with HDR I can still appreciate the reasoning behind Sony's 1080P 30fps reveal, it's obvious with all the internet throttling that it would've been hell for them to produce all this content in 4K.. So I just finished playing through the entire uncharted collection which was amazing! The games look great on PS4 pro especially uncharted 2/3. I was surprised at how well the gameplay holds up over the years! Next up on my list is uncharted 4 which is a game I beat when it first came out but I didn't really EXPLORE the world as much as I would've liked. I'm excited to play that one again! Also high on replay value for me is warzone. I know it's a BR game but my wife recently started playing with me & it's become such an amazing way to connect with friends online during these long lockdown days! While I'm ALL for fighting against inequality, I'm extremely disappointed that infinity ward has delayed season 4. I think it's a huge disservice to the millions of us stuck at home due to covid-19. I know the news doesn't show it but millions of people are still isolating at home with nothing to do. Games help my wife and I cope with the chaos of the world & the content helps keep us content. @GADG3Tx87 I know man it's absolutely horrifying how much false information is being spread about PlayStation 5! the PS5 will be able to play almost ALL of the thousands of PS4 games as Cerny himself said they worked with AMD to make sure the PS5 was backwards compatible. I just read an awful news article who credits '4chan' as their source this is their claims.
"As for the alleged cons, the PS5-related post states that third-party games will perform over 30% “better” on the Xbox Series X, with the PlayStation's unstable CPU and GPU clock rates being partially to blame for lagging behind its rival. We're going to see some amazing games but for me personally I LOVE hearing the developers of said games swooning over how much they love working/developing with the PlayStation 5! Sony has played it's card close to it's chest, I think it's paying off for them. We know everything there is to know about XSX so when it comes to PS5 we have this feeling of mystique that's driving articles to be written about every little drop of information that comes out. It's been frustrating at times because I want/need to know everything there is to know about Sony's upcoming system but at the same time that mystery makes events like this upcoming one all the more reason to be HYPED about lol happy gaming!

There's literally nothing to freak out about. Sony has developed the PS5 from the ground up knowing full well they wanted backwards compatibility the the PS4. Mark Cerny specifically said that the 100 most popular games would be playable at launch, what wasn't said was that almost all PS4 games will be supportes because the PS5 architecture was designed by Sony & AMD together, the BOTH have said they designed it in a way that the PS5 will be able to play PS4 games simply because the architecture allows it. The only issue is for games that aren't optimized for PS4 pro as they may have issues with the faster CPU, even so Cerny told everyone that after an update most of the PS4 catalog would be available for PS5! I have faith Sony know exactly what they're doing. They're not going to let Microsoft steal their thunder! Happy gaming!

I already own COD WW2 but this is good as it'll expand the servers in zombies! WW2 Nazi zombies is the BEST call of duty zombies experience since the original black ops! The zombies mode goes back to basics, has awesome maps with interesting Easter eggs plus it really pays to be a team player which is awesome! @Flow297 I highly doubt this is the case, the DEV kit was a wildly different design that what ended up being the XSX box so I think Sony Is going with an updated version of the PS4 pro with more venting (possibly the V shape) to help with cooling efficiency. MS literally designed a mini PC tower with the XSX box lol

@JJ2 I thoroughly enjoyed his talk, everything he detailed was aimed at DEVS as well as people who have an understanding of how computer components work. That being said, everyone threw a fit calling it a 'fail' but it was actually planned for GDC to show DEVS they've built a console with them in mind. I think Sony will come out guns blazing in the 6 months leading up to the PS5 launch.

@JJ2 I see that ALL the time now! All the tech media sites say xsx has superiority to the PS5 because of the 12TFLOPS compared to the 9TFLOPS on PS5?! It's absolutely ridiculous, the PS5 has theoretical peak GPU performance of 10.28TFLOPS (nothing to sneeze at) but even mark Cerny specifically specified that when you combine the SSD with it's special scrubbers along with it's raw speed (that's literally twice that of XSX) comparing the 12 TFLOPS the 10.28 TFLOPS is pointless as it's not indicative of the overall performance of the PS5. Even before the amazing unreal demo, many 3rd party devs have raved about how phenomenal the PS5 is & that Sony has created a console that's been performance optimized to create the BEST games of next generation. I have faith in Sony, they've ALWAYS created consoles that deliver some of the BEST gaming experiences ever created. Happy gaming my friend ✌️

Sony will FOREVER has a special place in my heart! I got my first PlayStation console at age 5 in 1996, from there on I've bought Sony products. After the PS2 came out (it was my family's first DVD player) I got my first MP3 devices in the early 2000's. It was a Sony Walkman branded device that took these itty bitty square discs that could hold hundreds of songs on. It was awesome! Then came the PSP which was an incredible portable gaming device! I remember playing Tony Hawks pro skater & Grand Theft Auto while on a family camping trip in the middle of no where, it was an amazing experience! Then came the PlayStation 3 in 2006, I was 14 years old! The PS3 with it's Blu-ray drive also ushered in my first experience with high definition televisions. I bought a 40inch Sony Bravia LCD HDTV with DLNA strictly for HD gaming with my PS3! Sony build their Bravia lines with the PS3 in mind as my TV recognized my PS3 so every time I turned on my PS3 my Sony TV would turn on automatically, switch to the right HDMI & offered excellent adjustability to make games look their BEST! My next Sony device was the PlayStation Vita which was a brilliant device for it's time in 2012. I believe Sony missed their opportunity to make people fall in love with the device as it lacked developers but there were some great Vita games! Borderlands 2, Uncharted & gravity rush we fine Vita games but what REALLY made me love the vita was cross-play. It worked okay on PS3 but when I got my PS4 in 2013 it was amazing to play assassin's Creed 4 black flag while watching Netflix with my girlfriend lol. Speaking of PS4 it's becoming my favorite gaming console of all time! It's given me such rich experiences that have finally surpassed what was given to me in the PS3 era. I purchased a PS4 pro along with a 4K TV in 2018 & it's been a phenomenal experience playing games like God of War in stunning ultra HD quality! Simply put Sony has been a huge part of my life when in come to entertainment & technology! I can't wait to see what the PS5 will bring to the table! Happy gaming!

I feel like 50GB is a modest size now a days. I pretty much buy ALL my game as downloaded simply because I own multiple PlayStations so it saves money in the long run. I have modern warfare installed at just over 100GB, Spider-Man is also quite large download, COD WW2 with DLC is another 100GB, I have the uncharted collection & uncharted 4 downloaded, assassin's Creed Odyssey & I just downloaded fallout 4 from PS now just with those titles my 1TB PS4 pro is basically full. I beat games like uncharted collection then uninstall them. I keep a few games downloaded at all times like Modern Warfare. I'd like to upgrade my HDD to a 2TB SSD but I haven't really looked into it. Can you play games off of a USB 3.0 external HDD? I've found a 2TB one for $50 that looks like a decent solution. I just barely got done installing Odyssey on my PS4 pro, haven't even started the game yet lol by the time I'm finished exploring odyssey, PS5 will have been released & Valhalla would be available!! at least I've got stuff to occupy my time, I'm almost done with uncharted 3 then I can delete the collection from my console! I'm going to start uncharted 4 hopefully beat it then move on to odyssey! happy gaming!

Sony has gone out of their way to optimize the PS5 nto be the BEST console it can possibly be. This approach had garnered a bunch of love from developers who've been working with the prototypes. I've seen developers praising the PS5 left & right for the fact it's been designed to be a console devs love to create on & XSX might have a slightly more powerful GPU but the PS5 has a SSD that is literally twice as fast as what's on XSX and from what mark Cerny & epic games has been saying PS5's SSD is going to be a huge part in loading high quality assets in the fly. From everything I've seen/read so far I am HYPED for PlayStation 5 and I can't wait until I get my day 1 console hooked up to my 4K TV lol it's coming soon!! Happy gaming my friends!

@JJ2 , the demo is fully playable, so this is not some pre-rendered footage meant to trick players. Games can feasibly look like this on next-generation systems. Sony has gone out of their way to showcase UNREAL engine 5 running in real-time on PlayStation 5 which is huge considering the pre-rendered footage we saw from Microsoft!

@Dominatso the fact that this is a fully playable demo running in real-time on the PS5 and not some pre-rendered footage (what we saw from Microsoft) I agree that Sony is showing what's feasible on the PlayStation 5. , the demo is fully playable, so this is not some pre-rendered footage meant to trick players. @JonnyMack agreed 💯 percent, it's going to come down to what developers will be able to do on each console. The series X has the 'technically superior' GPU (although 1.72TF won't make a massive difference) while the PS5 has the technically superior SSD which is literally twice as fast as the series X SSD (I do imagine twice the speed making a small impact) each console has tiny things that make one better than the other but when it's ALL laid out, it'll be what developers can do with those small differences in their games. I believe first party studios on each console will make some amazing stuff that takes full advantage of each consoles capable of 👍

@phil_j they've specified that the SSD will allow for unloading many graphical assets that aren't plausible on today's HDD! This is what's going to separate the PS5 from all others, I just read an article that even PC users will have to wait for the SSD tech thats in the PS5 to be able to catch up which is saying a lot IMO 👌

I've been using PlayStation now for well over a year now and I've been enjoying the collection of games offered. It's because of PlayStation now that I was able to play the glorious adventure that is horizon zero Dawn! I've also played a few motocross games as well as some PS3 classics. The ability to stream the game to see if I like it, then the ability to download the game in it's entirety to get the full experience is well worth the $10 a month IMO 👌 I now have a even more games to look forward to lol happy gaming my friends 😉💨✌️

Sony has put games first, not services, not 'one' console that does a little bit of everything (the original Xbox 'one' motto) but has focused SOLELY on providing PS4 owners with some of the BEST games ever created. They've also offered a bunch of new IP (check my response to @cybershrk) as well as reinvigorated old IP. Sony will continue this 'gaming first' trend come next generation, this was more than evident during their GDC presentation. Happy gaming 😉💨✌️

@Cybrshrk until said exclusives come to PC they ARE the reason for owning a PS4. Horizon zero Dawn is ONLY 1 of many new IP that have come to PS4. It's ALL about the games though, I'm a gamer period. Yes I am partial to Sony PlayStation as I got my first gaming console (PSone) at age 5 in 1996. That being said I've also owned every single Xbox since the original. In this current generation I owned a xbone as well as the Xbox one x. After playing Halo, gears of War, sunset overdrive, quantum break, Forza & dead rising I sold my Xbox & have focused solely on my PlayStation 4 pro. While I enjoyed the Microsoft ecosystem (one of the best ecosystems ever, something Microsoft is really good at nailing) there just wasn't enough to keep me invested. I do believe Microsoft has knocked it out the park with their game pass, they just didn't have the quality content that PS4 had. I will most likely pick up the series x console in 2022 cuz I'm a gamer who loves games ( 2022 is when Microsoft said they'd be releasing series X exclusives). I will be picking up PS5 day one simply because Sony PlayStation has given me some of the BEST gaming memories of my entire life. The last of us is one of my favorite games of ALL time as it helped me cope with the death of my grandfather who raised me. Sony has given me games that are truly iconic in every sense of the word, they're not just 'games' they're experiences. Days Gone (new IP) was phenomenal as it's location setting was literally my backyard, horizon zero Dawn (new IP) was breathtaking, Until Dawn (new IP) played like a horror movie, Concrete Genie (new IP) was an enchanting experience, God of War 2018 was spectacular, The Order: 1886 (new IP) was a creative adventure, Bloodborne (new IP) is one of the most frustratingly awesome games I've ever played, Spiderman (new IP) was shockingly epic, infamous second son was unadulterated fun, uncharted 4 took the series to new heights, ratchet and clank was spot on like a movie, Knack (new IP) 2 was my little brother favorite game, Detroit becoming human (new IP) was a total mind F*** lol point being these games have definitely defined the PS4 era of gaming & have kept me coming back for more! We've got the last of us part 2 & ghost of tsushima coming soon which will keep me going until PS5 is released lol. Happy gaming my friends 😉💨✌️

the first game was such an amazingly beautiful experience that I beat it twice on PS3 when it first came out & then I beat it 2 more times on PS4. the game helped me cope through a rough time in my life when I lost my grandfather who raised me to leukemia. the last of us allowed me to escape into a gorgeous world that was bleek but had a glimmer of hope. it's unfortunate that it's been leaked but I know there's millions of people who were touched by the glorious story & those people would be hard pressed to let some leaks 'ruin' the experience awaiting them in the last of us part 2. happy gaming my friends 😎

Valhalla looks absolutely PERFECT! the PlayStation 5 is going to usher in a gaming revolution the likes of which consoles has never seen before! when you take into consideration that the PS5 is built from the ground up to be optimized for gaming it's even going to rival gaming PC's imo 👌

killzone shadowfall was a fantasti launch title, I enjoyed it as it really excited me to see the upgraded quality of the PS4 generation. that's being said it looks like the PS5 is going to have much better games when it launches! Sony is going to shock the world when it finally reveals the PS5 along with the launch line up! 😁👍

I had a PS4 pro back in 2016, then it got stolen so I reverted back to my PS4 slim for a few years now I've got another PS4 pro arriving in a few days (super excited BTW) so this list is incredible 😁👍

I have to admit I'm disappointed that Sony went with these 2 games. I can see living vicariously through simulators since we're ALL stuck at home but this is just too much, we deserve to have at least one AAA game for every PS PLUS offering. I've been enjoying the uncharted collection, almost done with uncharted 2 remastered! I will then complete uncharted 3 and then start the glorious adventure of uncharted 4! This is how I've been coping with staying at home lol happy gaming my friends 😉💨✌️

@Zach_99 dude the possibilities are limitless! You are absolutely correct though, micros6hss confirmed ALL first party games will be available on PC (the most powerful 'console' of ALL) this rendering the xsx useless IMO. Back to limitless possibilities though, the original PS4 was technically capable of 1.84 TFLOP while the PS5 has a GPU capable of 10.28TFLOP we're looking at a console that's at least 5 times as powerful as PS4! I don't believe in the TFLOP bias as it isn't representative of the full picture. Based on everything Mark Cerny revealed the PS5 has been built specifically for gaming! The CPU and GPU have been thoroughly optimized to squeeze out the most potential, it's literally the reason why Cerny told the audience to look past floating operation points. Sony has delivered some of the BEST games I've ever played period! The end of the PS3 generation showed what was truly capable with the last of us. This generation brought even more amazing games. God of War, infamous second son, killzone shadowfall, Spiderman, uncharted 4, Detroit becoming human, horizon zero Dawn, days gone & final fantasy 7 remake are ALL PlayStation exclusives that have pushed the boundaries of what was thought possible. Those are the games I've personally experienced this generation that's led me to have faith in Sony & their upcoming PS5. They know how to make consoles for devs who know how to create games for true gamers! Happy gaming my friend 😉✌️

@hkreasthull dude I'm sorry but you've been mislead, the XSX isn't a far superior console! In fact many game developers claim it's the PS5 that's the superior console. I'm Soo sick of the internet claiming xsx superiority and PS5 a failure based on nothing but antiquated TFLOP bias. Mark Cerny specifically specified that when you take the PS5 custom SSD, variable CPU and GPU into account that the performance of the PS5 shouldn't be compared with normal floating operation points as the go to standard of what's capable. People act like the PS5 GPU is far inferior due to its 10.28TFLOP theoretical peak performance vs the xsx 12TFLOP. It's ridiculous and amusing that people don't research both systems and realize the gap between the two will be less than the gap between the original PS4 & the original xbone. Happy gaming my friends 😁👍
